"AH!" Chuffy jumps as the dog unexpectedly frees itself from its chains. Reflexively, he chucks a dart at it. Chuffy like Poog even better as dogshield...

Mogmurch follows Reta the long way around the deck, eager to once again try out his new crossbow. Chuffy is quick to react to the hound as it breaks its chain, hitting it right between the eyes with a dart, and it collapses to the deck. The other mutt takes a running leap off the top level, landing as gracefully as it can, and tries to chomp its jaws into Reta's leg, who dodged it at the last second.

Reta spins as the dog lands beside her, a hateful grin dominating her face. "Goblins eat dog tonight!!!!" she screams, bringing her dogslicer down in a powerful overhand swing.
"DOG, DOG, DOG, DOG!" Chuffy chants as he closes in on his next mark. He hunches over, trying to be sneaky, and attempts to stick the dog in the back!

Mogmurch steps up slightly and takes aim with his crossbow, determined to murder this dog before the other goblins once again unfairly steal the glory of the kill from him!
When the chain snaps, Poog's remaining ear pins back to his head in terror and he screams "Agh!". He opens his eyes again a few moments later, surprised that his head hadn't been swallowed by the ugly dog monster, and starts laughing hysterically at the dart between the dog's eyes, "Ha ha, Stupid dog!" Clapping he scurries off after his new favourite underling, Chuffy, mouth watering at the prospect of adding dog to the night's feast of horse and pickled spider leg. Poog smiles as the flame erupts from his fingers, as he does two of his favourite things at once, killing dogs and starting fires.

Reta's dogslicer proves true to its name and she cuts a long red line across the dog's torso. Chuffy manages to hit the mutt with his own slicer, though he really doesn't inflict much damage, just as a bolt from Mogmurch's crossbow pierces its skin. Not long for this world, Poog puts the hound down for good, charring it through and through in preparation for the night's meal later.
Out of combat!
"Chuffy so good with big ugly wasp trap, Chuffy go first." Reta points to the ladder leading up. Best if other goblin go first, take trap to face instead of Reta.
She pulls out the potion of bear's endurance that she gathered from Lotslegs loot, and holds it, ready to quaff later.
"Dogs not live here by themselves. Better send sneaky one first. Good luck, Chuffy!"
Before exploring the rest of the ship, Mogmurch will drink his mutagen .
Guzzling down the foul-smelling concoction in a single long quaff, Mogmurch belches loudly. He looks somehow both more robust and uglier at the same time. "Ah, just the thing! Ok, let's go get fireworks!"
Mogmurch generously offers his tanglefoot bag to Reta. "Hey, fathead, I mean Reta, you carry this - it bring you good luck!"
Jealous of all the potion quaffing, Poog searches his possessions for a drink of his own, but the only thing he can find is his jar of pickled fish heads. Shrugging, he pops off the lid and chugs all the brine in one go. After a few disappointing moments of waiting to see if he gains all the powers of a fish, Poog slaps Chuffy on the back, pushing him towards the ladder as he says, "Reta and Mogmurch right! Chuffy only one that Reta not bash when hiding, and Chuffy make nest of wasps safe... So Chuffy get honour of going first!"
"Chuffy best at hiding and deadliest, but Chuffy not stupid. Chuffy know Reta best sword catcher, head so big! Poog also good dogshield. Not know what Mogmurch do, but Chuffy go in front anyway. STEAL ALL THE LOOT!" he dashes off ahead, doing his best to remain hidden from anything else in the rickety ship.

Poog's eyes widen, Loot!? Poog wants loot... Having flashbacks of Lotslegs' lair, and how Reta stared right into his eyes as she pinched the last potion, Poog chases off after Chuffy as quietly as possible. Poog wants loot! Poog wants loot!

Mogmurch stares at the door in front of them, eyes wide with excitement. "Fireworks, fireworks, FIREWORKS!!! Let's get 'em!
"You goblins stupid! Why Reta have to be voice of reason. Good thing Chief send Reta to lead expe... expedit... quest!"
"What if fireworks in this room right here, and Chuffy fall while climbing, crush Pook and Mogmurch both! Reta strong, but Reta need more arms to carry fireworks back to tribe." Reta points at the door in front of them. "Chuffy, check this door first!"

The air in this cabin is thick and close, stinking of swamp and sweat, with a thick, glistening layer of mud on the floor and swaths of oily fungus clinging to the walls. Even more dangling decorations of goblin bone and animal-part fetishes hang from the ceiling on lengths of sinew here, and what appears to be a nest made of rags, sticks, mud, and castoff bits of clothing lies against the westernmost wall. But scattered amid the filth and clutter are several exotic-looking man-made objects—including a tantalizing red chest.
Inside you also find the terrifying Vorka herself, as well as a giant pet frog! Vorka is particularly frightening, especially to goblins who know of the stories that paint her in a cannibalistic light. Unfortunately for any goblins who might meet her, those stories, if anything, downplay her ferocity. Her mouth is her most fearsome feature—it's a bit too wide, even by goblin standards, and Vorka's habit of filing her already sharp teeth has resulted in a snaggletooth grin of mismatched teeth that leaves little doubt as to her preference for tough, stringy meat. Like goblin meat. She wears rags and bits of stained cloth—trophies harvested almost at random from her hapless victims, over her equally patchwork leather armor. While her exact outfit can change in this manner depending on who her latest meals may have been , the one part of her apparel that never changes is her floppy, pointy leather hat—a hat Vorka stole from a human traveller and made crude alterations to in order to make it fit her large, misshapen head.
Fortunately for all of you, she's too busy slicing up a piece of meat and tossing scraps of it to her frog to hear you open the door.

Face to face with the stuff of goblin nightmares, Mogmurch suddenly finds himself reliving his entire life, from his earliest experiments with caterpillar glands to his brilliant discovery of the combustible qualities of goblin flatulence, all with the vivid realization that perhaps now, finally now, it all comes to an end, here, at the hands of the Vorka herself. Just when I almost reach the promised land of fireworks... Not fair! Not fair! Stupid Reta! Why she insist we go in this room! And when almost the fireworks in my hands, so close, I can smell them... The imagined smell of fireworks shakes Mogmurch from his morbid reverie and fills him with rage. "Not today, Vorka, not today, Reta! Mogmurch come too far! Done too much! Fireworks will be mine! Some day maybe Mogmurch end, but not this day, oh no Vorka, not this day!" In a fury at his near-death (imagined) experience, Mogmurch hurls one of his beloved bombs into the room, determined to end both Vorka and her foul frog lover in one fell blow...
Behind the mast, and unable to see into the room due to the crowd of goblins at the door, Reta is still able to sense the doom and terror coming from her tribal mates. "What, what inside? What you see?" She moves a step close to try to get a better view, and slams down the potion that she was holding.
The affected creature gains greater vitality and stamina. The spell grants the subject a +4 enhancement bonus to Constitution, which adds the usual benefits to hit points, Fortitude saves, Constitution checks, and so forth. Hit points gained by a temporary increase in Constitution score are not temporary hit points. They go away when the subject's Constitution drops back to normal. They are not lost first as temporary hit points are.
"AAAAAHHHHH!" Chuffy screams as he backs up a step. "No way Chuffy go in there, Chuffy not stupid, not stupid, not stupid!" he continues to moan loudly, drawing his dogslicer and grinning with anticipatory glee.

Readied Attack
Through the crowd of bodies, Poog only just manages to catch a glimpse of a someone wearing a cool hat. He's just about to call dibs when Mogmurch starts shouting, "Vorka!? Aaaagh, don't eat Poog, take Mogmurch instead! Mogmurch tastiest, Rempty always say so." He screams, referring to Rempty's hilarious habit of licking the alchemist's face clean in public. He closes his eyes and starts mumbling some prayers "Help me Zarongel, and I kill many dogs for you... many many dogs, maybe as many as this!" He holds out his hands to sky, unsure how many digits he has, but pretty certain that it is a huge number.

Mogmurch quickly tosses one of his precious bombs into the room, a direct hit on Vorka with some small shards of shrapnel hitting her frog as well. Reta and Poog both call on some magical enhancements for the combat, while Chuffy stands ready at the door to attack the first thing to approach. Vorka laughs histerically as she's hit by the bomb, where more excited than one who was just attacked should be. "Yayyyyyy! More goblin food here! No hunting on own now, food come to me! I start cooking you now, get you nice and burnt." A ball of flame appears in her hand which she tosses at Mogmurch, hitting him squarely in the face. The frog take a few steps closer and its tongue shoots out, wrapping around the alchemist's leg and dragging him closer.

Poog is relieved that Vorka took his advice, but is suddenly very worried about how shockingly easy it was to cook and drag the poor alchemist within her room. Poog run now! He thinks to himself, but just before he turns tail, Poog catches a glimpse of the red chest and thoughts of glorious fireworks once again trumps his instincts for self preservation. He frowns, and stares at Mogmurch for a second, If Vorka eat Mogmurch too quick, Poog have no time to steal fireworks! Selflessly Poog rushes to the poor, charred goblin, and slaps him round the back of the head with his healing powers.

Poog manages to heal some of Mogmurch's charred flesh, though it's not quite as effective as he had hoped. With a flaming ball still in hand, Vorka weaves another spell and then begins walking up the wall. Meanwhile, the frog is able to maintain its grip on Mogmurch's leg, pulling him close enough to take a bite of flesh, though the thickened skin provided by the extract is just enough to prevent any real damage.

Chuffy's feeble, yet sadistic, little mind takes a moment to evaluate the situation before he gets moving. HOW CHUFFY SUPPOSED TO STICK VORKA IF VORKA ON WALL?!

Poog runs into the room and tries to figure out how he can swipe the box of fireworks without anyone noticing. He decides that a distraction is best, and he devises a cunning plan. Mogmurch already cooked, and if Poog make Mogmurch make Vorka angry, maybe Vorka leave Poog alone and eat Mogmurch? Then Poog steal fireworks and be hero! Poog looks at the poor charred and licked alchemist, and shouts, "Mogmurch, stop playing with frog and KILL something! Like this..." He raises his hand up to Vorka and launches a firebolt at the terrifying cannibal... A moment later, he realises the fatal flaw in his plan.

Mogmurch shrieks with dismay, not so much from the pain of being burned in the face - as an alchemist he has done much worse to himself more times than he can count - nor from the slithery caress of the giant frog's tongue - really, it's not so different from the kisses he regularly receives from his beloved pet toad, Ambifier - but rather from the realization that if Vorka and her frog are preoccupied with himself, it will be all too easy for Mogmurch's minions to steal the fireworks, and if he is not there to supervise, there is no telling what they'll do - they might even set off the Roman candles!
Determined to set things aright, Mogmurch hurriedly digs in his pouch for a vial and quickly swallows the contents, feeling soothed by its black licorice flavor.
Reta draws the other potion that she stole from Lotslegs' loot, and quaffs it before stepping in front of the door. Reta still weak from before. Magic drink bring Reta back to proper fighting form. Not go in until Reta strongest! Other goblins can wear Vorka down, the Reta smash and take all the glory!
The subject becomes stronger. The spell grants a +4 enhancement bonus to Strength, adding the usual benefits to melee attack rolls, melee damage rolls, and other uses of the Strength modifier.
"Reta scared like baby goblin! Chuffy save Mogmurch and become best hero!" In a fit of bravery, the hideous goblin enters the room and attempts to dive past the frog to the other side. Once there, he tries to stab it in the back with his knife! "STICK STICK STICK!"

Poog runs past Reta, jealously eyeing the potions she's quaffing, "Chuffy right! Reta too scared to enter room, but Poog kill Vorka and become best hero! Who cheer Chuffy for saving Mogmurch?" Once in the room they suspect is full of fireworks, Poog lets loose with all the fire he can muster from his fingers.

Mogmurch shrieks with rage at the giant froghemoth's fetid embrace. This is nothing like the sweet cuddles that I get from Ambifier!
Fortunately, Chuffy is here to save the day. Or at least draw the froghemoth away from Mogmurch. It would be wrong to throw a bomb at the frogosaurus when Chuffy is standing right behind it. So Mogmurch throws an alchemist's fire at it instead.

Reta chugs a potion down making her muscles swell in an unnatural way. Chuffy tumbles by the frog, and though it doesn't look very graceful, he manages to get by and swing his blade but it goes wide. Poog blasts Vorka with a pair of flaming bolts, and Mogmurch hurls a bomb, sending shrapnel everywhere. Vorka returns the favor, hurling a ball of flame at Poog that just misses and hits the wall of the cabin. Meanwhile, the frog is able to maintain its grip on Mogmurch's leg, pulling him close enough to take a bite of flesh, though the thickened skin provided by the extract keeps him safe.

Reta finally makes her way into the room, with the luxury of choosing targets. While she really would like to take some swings at the witch, she seems too far up--a problem to deal with later.
And though it would be very interesting to see Mogmurch slowly eaten by a frog, Reta thinks there's a good chance she'll need extra hands to bring back all the fireworks. She skitters over to the toad, her dogslicer swinging in a big arc at the unnatural amphibian.
With Reta keeping the frog busy, Chuffy's sadistic instincts take over. A devilish glint in his eye, he puts a hand on the frog's back and finds the softest spot he can find. As soon as he does, he thrusts his dogslicer in and savagely twists it. When the frog writhes in pain, he begins to laugh maniacally. "Chuffy kill YOU he screams, ripping the blade out.

"Mogmurch, you dum dum head!" Poog yells out as he is engulfed in flame, not from Vorka, but from his fellow hero, "Kill thing with tongue wrapped around Mogmurch, no kill Poog who's being hero right now. Not hard to 'member!" He runs to the other end of the room to make sure his allies are unable to kill him, then he fires one last firebolt at Vorka.

Mogmurch stares in dismay at Frog Kong, realizing that nothing he can do will stop the relentless amphibian. Desperately, he draws his club and smashes at it.

Minimum Damage: If penalties reduce the damage result to less than 1, a hit still deals 1 point of nonlethal damage.
A critical hit means that you roll your damage more than once, with all your usual bonuses, and add the rolls together.
Reta finally gets in on the action, but her extra muscles don;t seem to help much and she whiffs with her dogslicer. Chuffy has more luck with his though, strike the frog right along it's back, cracking a few vertebrae in the process. Poog continues to call on Zarongel for more firey bolts, and Mogmurch decides to pull out a club, whacking the frog across the head. Vorka seems to actually enjoy being hit with the fire and cries it in glee. "Yesssss, it burns! Can't wait to roast your eyeballs over fire til they start to melt, then rub on horse flesh!" She tosses another ball of fire, striking the cleric right in the face, and it takes all his effort not to collapse in pain. The frog tries once again to bite Mog, but isn't able to sink its teeth in.
