Discussion open.
First of all, welcome. Something about me - I've been running live games for a few years now, but am still fairly new to PBP. If you find anything that can be improved, feel free to point it out.
Let's get to it then. I need the following from you.
Character Name:
Player Name (one that should appear on the sheet):
PFS-ID:
Faction:
Day Job Roll (if any):
Feel free to add notes or comments on your character you would like to add/point out. Afflictions, rare special abilities I should know about/read up on, etc.
Please refrain from making multiple posts in discussion until we have all 6 blocks of the information requested above.
Additionally, please make sure to put relevant information (initiative, perception, saves, other commor rolls, etc) about your character into a spoiler included in all your posts. This can be done with the Classes/Levels field in the character profile. If you have questions how, don't be afraid to ask.
If there are any questions, ask away.
Good luck, have fun!

Weird stuff
Occultist class, which is weird to anyone who doesn't know Occult Adventures.
Mutant Eye trait (from Quests and Campaigns) - Third eye in the middle of my forehead, affects some skills (built into my stats)
Breadth of Experience feat - can roll any knowledge or profession untrained, get +2 bonus on all of them
Also, I haven't updated the online stats since applying a GM credit, so I have a little more equipment now. I'll get that all updated later today, before we start really playing.

just for the GM, I have played and GM'ed this, so I will take a bit of a backseat in the important things.

![]() |

I've played and GMed it as well. I would guess most people have played it by now, especially since everyone here is up to two digit character numbers, so we're all experienced PFS players.

![]() |

I've played Confirmation before as well.
For Vorden, he's been calling his Eidolon things like "Hey you" and "You there". He's usually quite nice to others, but not as polite to his Eidolon (and hence I haven't given it a name, but "Hey You" might suffice).

I've played this multiple times, and I have a theory about it that might make it more fun. (Spoilered in case someone doesn't want spoilers.)

I've seen both sides of the screen for this one 5+ times. No worries, there.

I didn't want to use up a big chunk of the Gameplay space with OOC text:
I didn't realize the depth of the pit, so the plan will be to help Evariel and Jean-Robur get to the side where hopefully they can cling (apparently Carlotta did a fine job of swimming and can get herself there). Then Zaratina can ask Vorden to lower the rope from the far side, affix the rope to one sodden companion, climb up with a Take 10, then pull the sodden companion out, repeat, repeat, toss the rope back to Vorden and Hey You, who hopefully don't also take a swim.
Evariel can take 10 to swim with my assist and can tread water with a take 10 without my assist. Jean-Robur will be the challenge as he may not be able to swim even with an assist and can't tread water without an assist. So Jean-Robur would be the first to heave up.

I think the only thing I need is the wand of burning hands. And yea, just about any 1st-level caster can use a scroll of obscuring mist so it's for whoever wants it.

Correct me if I am wrong, but prof. barrister allows me to use the profession for diplo rolls for example, so you should be able to assist me with it Zaratina
I agree here. It has a versatile performance vibe, and you essentially just use the profession bonus when you do diplomacy rolls. I did some digging, and found no ruling on versatile performance / other substituted bonus and aid another. As a ruling at this table, I don't have a problem with people using aid another diplomacy to help Jean-Robur's Barrister check (and vice-versa), assuming he uses the profession bonus as his diplomacy bonus. This is clearly stated in the post, so no problems here.

Sorry, I thought the one I had commanded was a skeleton.
Uh, Zaratina, you sure you want to do that? I was hoping to keep that one around.

Ok... If my character told yours to stop mid-act, would you? (One of the downsides of PbP is we sacrifice this sort of real-time interaction.) Controlling undeads is kinda my shtick. Unless Zaratina has a moral opposition or something, in which case we can play that out.

She would stop. She'd argue that traipsing Uori's undead kinsman in front of him is bad form, but if he really insisted despite her argument she'd leave it alone.

Before we carry on, I'd like to point out that some of you didn't roll pereception yet. If you don't mind, I'll roll the dice for them.
Perception Jean-Robur: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25
Perception Carlotta: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Do what you will with these.

GM NotEspi |

@Vorden - if you are playing the eidolon as non-autonomous, you can always delay with it, give a command on your turn and make it happen at the same time.
@Zaratine - only the stream and the log over it are difficult terrain (stream is ... well, a stream of water, and the log is slippery). If you are referring to the circle Carlotta made, yes, that is an entangled area at the moment.
And since the forum goblins ate my yesterday's post, a little talk about why did we skip the cave encounter - in 6 days time, I am leaving for two weeks. Some of you might want to play these characters in the multitable special starting mid-June, and I didn't want the characters to be in limbo until I get back. it is a bit unusual for PbP to skip content due to time contraints, but there we go! I assumed I would hand out the chronicle sheets by the end of the week (before I leave), but it went a bit slower then expected. I do apologise for that. Thanks for understanding.

Also, I've re-read those diorama rituals. Apparently, all of you should gain the boon Zaratina got. I think. It seems my interpretation of the boon rewards has been wrong for the entire time of me running this scenario. Can anyone confirm? It seems the boons apply to the entire party.
In any case, Zaratina finished the Soldier ritual, so each of you of you should get a +1 insight to AC if you have taken damage since the start of your last turn.
