That's right, I just got back from work and my laptop is just about done warming up! We can start posting fast and furious anytime now.
To save my fingers, if everyone could post their own init & perception rolls as we go that might help me post faster. :)

Ohh he cast it before we started pillaging and looting. I see it's only 1min/level so not sure if it would still be in effect. It would have been at the time of the kutsagani though.

Detect magic is a 0-level spell. He can cast it as often as he likes. And should cast it often. :)

He didn't use the wand, and it has no value when making knowledge checks.

So he has cast detect magic and identified the longsword as +1 and kusarigama (+1 with other ability) while the helmet is non-magical but historical and he hasn't used any charges from the wand. He needs to make a knowledge check for the helmet.

Ug should have taken knowledge history as a thing. Would have made sense being a teacher. *Bonk self*

How long should we wait on Fenra and Kenan? Should I bot perception rolls for them?

Seeing as how Stacy isn't playing and Mathew said he would be busy around this time, you can just assume one of them casts detect magic can't you?

Sadly, I only have about an hour of posting left before I need to hit the sack; the 03:00 alarm comes too quick sometimes. I'd hoped for more posting and I think with a bit better coordination it will work. I still like the idea of trying to come to the thread at the same time/day and would like to try this again. Anyone else? When would be a good day to try next?

I think we should consider using a chat channel in conjunction with posting. Simon has a Teamspeak server (free to download and use) we can use as long as everyone has a microphone.

Alternatively, we could try and hold an in person session as well. It has been a while since we did that. :P

The server will certainly speed up discussion. I think I have a microphone...webcam for sure.
A live session is overdue too, we just have to entertain some dates. Anyone want to get the ball rolling? I'm afraid my mind is shutting down and no dates are popping up for me :(

Being able to talk instead of hitting refresh constantly would be a bonus. As far as a live session, probably not until April 22/23, 30/1 for me. We will be gone the week of May 14-20 too.

As we wait on Jeryn to post a question or action - or to be botted according to PC suggestion - lets see if we can't move a little closer to a live session. Unfortunately I will not have weekends off for some time, but May 3rd or 4th might work for another 'virtual' kick at the can. And with play-offs, we could consider combining watching an Oil game and killing off a few lizards - who has the best TV? :) How's that sound?

Do you want to give us the value for the treasure hoard? Other than the seal (and perhaps the compass?) I see everything being sold. That way we can divy up the coin now and people can spend it the next time we reach civilization.

(I'm not even positive our last treasure split was finalized.)

I haven't updated the thread as there is only a small discussion of options at the moment with no actions attached to them. While I can infer intentions, I'm not sure what everyone wants to do or how to they want to go about it. Feel free to continue the discussion amongst yourselves or ask NPCs for their opinions, but include actions for me as well to advance the story.

I feel like the only one playing most of the time... :/

A bit of hand waving but, save for two PCs, not a lot of posting either so my impression is that interest in Brinewall and perhaps even JR has waned. Fortunately there is little else to do at the castle.
I have tried to make this AP feel like a sandbox. To this end, monsters/creatures normally waiting for eons in just one room have been free to roam/patrol the castle or be drawn to the sound of battle, however brief. Unless you protest, I will continue to do so in the upcoming chapters. For now, with the Seal recovered and 99% of the inhabitants defeated (I omitted a pet monitor lizard and the troglodytes you just ended were drawn up from the dungeon), there is nothing more to do. I've added the dungeon map in its entirety. The group can explore it or if you'd rather, I can sum up the dungeon level for you in my next post.

Jade Regent is ripe with NPCs; some are quite useful but need direction, others can make your lives easy or difficult depending on interaction. This means there is a lot of role playing coming up, however at our current posting rate, and with only two PCs doing the heavy lifting, it doesn't seem fair. While I am willing to press on with the way things are, I think I should ask, do we need to take a break? What are everyone's expectations going forward?

I think it would be nice to try to get a live session in. Lots of roleplay goes faster when together. Or maybe we can skype it or something.

Much of the game may go faster if live. With my family hanging out in NYC, I am free most of the summer. I work weekends but am done by 2pm just about everyday. While I doubt I will be able to add the same amount of detail as in my posted descriptions, I'll give it a whirl. I'd say have Kenan offer up some dates and go from there :)

I'm in for any and all. Just so busy this past couple of weeks.

I will have weekends off starting in December, that should make having a live session easier. Can I ask for everyone to post their availability: What weekend in December works best for you?

Is there any interest in a live session? Is anyone even checking the boards? Perhaps some emails/texts need to go out to get people back online.

Welcome Back! I did ask about dates, but given the responses, well, no one is checking. *sigh*. Give me a couple days to get back into the swing of this, I've undertaken a few projects which have eaten into my computer time but fear not! The game will go on!
