Jeryn is an evoker of Taldan heritage. His family moved to the region before he was born and as a wizard, his father found work assisting the other villagers, be it with spells to protect them from the elements or conjuring explosions to clear blocked roadways.

Jeryn showed an incredible intelligence from a young age. He was crawling, walking, speaking, reading and writing far in advance of his cohorts. Not only was he able to learn and perform better than the other children, he was able to teach them as well.

His exceptional intelligence and ability to teach others led him toward his calling as a wizard and his profession as a teacher. While his passion is magic and he spends most of his time improving his own knowledge and power of the arcane, he sells his services as a teacher to tutor children in reading, writing, history, or any other subject their parents desire.

While he lacks the moral altruism of a paladin, he does have an incredibly strong sense of order and views it as the foundation of society. It is for this reason that he bares a personal hatred toward goblinkin - he sees them as a personification of chaos and he will go out of his way at any opportunity to see them perish.
