Writing this from a friend's phone, still no internet at my gm's new place but i should be able to post tomorrow, don't let me slow things down. My char will act shy and nervous when the para countess is around and will get kinda quiet until they leave. Sorry and i will be back posting again tomorrow for sure!!

I see what you mean, Henry. This game isn't really taking off.
To me the problem is the way these encounters are scripted.
All the NPCs seem to be saying "Hi, let me introduce my faction real quick and then you can fight a monster." I don't really feel like (or know how to) roleplay these scenes with the NPCs. I don't want to post the same "Kurth nods and accepts the task" over and over again.
I'm really looking forward to the upcoming social/investigation encounter.
I'm even more looking forward to the whole group going to a tavern once they are done with their errands ...
Is the second group doing any better than us?

Well, since its three of us plus the GM we should get used to posting as much as we can and not worry about 'hogging' all of the posts.
I am generally good with moving forward unless we are coming up with tactics on a raid or something like that.
I generally check a couple of times throughout the day, depending on how hectic work or family life is during the day.

I usually check once or twice a day, depending on how much sleep I get or if I have stuff to do. I work nights, so it's a little hard some days.
As far as the second group, they're about to finish their second task. They did the one for Ollysta first and it was quite a bit of roleplaying.
I've wanted to do PFS and I thought First Steps would be a decent start, but I understand what you mean about it being "Hi, go do this. Join my guild plz!!!!" The next two sessions are not much better as far as the set-up goes (the encounters are), but the whole point of First Steps is to introduce to you the different factions and see what their all about, to make your final choice more organic. If you all want to, you can choose your faction after this session and we'll move on to a proper season 4 session.
Here's the main issue right now: having only 3 players is illegal, according to PFS rules. I have to have 4 minimum. So, either I open recruitment to another player (who cannot get credit for this session, since we're so far along) or I can create a GM character. Sadly, this means we can't get to the whole Gilga Baltwin scenario until we deal with this.
Please let me know what you'd like to do as far as those two things are concerned as soon as you can so we can move along.

Vim has officially dropped out, too?
I'm fine with both options, either introducing a GM character, or recruiting replacement PCs.
I'd also be willing to bend the rules and continue with only three PCs (I interpret the legal table size as legal starting table size. A real life table wouldn't suddenly become illegal when a PC dies halfway through - or a player is asked to leave the table for a rules violation - or would it? At least the rules don't mention it). But then again I'm new to PFS and there probably are rulings for this case. In any case its your call as a GM to make and not mine.
In a way, I'd like to finish all three parts of First Steps, but with one change:
directly move from the faction introduction scene to the actual encounter (i.e. handle both in one post). This would speed up the game. And players who want to ask questions / talk to the NPC can still do so in their next post, by splitting it into an "in Xxx's office" section and an "in the basement" section.

Vim hasn't dropped out officially, but it's been 9 days since he last posted and the last heads-up I got was that he would be back by the 29th of August.
As far as table-size, it's not that I'm trying to being in perfect sync with the rules, it's that there are a few things which can potentially lead to a TPK without another member in the group.

Since this session is almost over, I guess it's time to get some things in order. Luthor and Kurth, I need your e-mail addresses so I can send your chronicles sheets to you. All three of you go ahead and decide which faction you are going to choose and I will label them accordingly. Probably send me your PFS numbers in a PM while you're at it, so I have something to reference besides months-old messages :P
I'm going to reopen recruitment for one more player. I'd also like your input on who will be joining your group. I will probably close it by Sunday afternoon.
