I've just updated Tico's sheet to level 8, and now his Perception is +13; and Profession (scribe) is +12, so please add +2 to the day job roll. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Player: Derek
PFS: #85794-3
Day Job - Profession (Clerk): Take 10 for 21
Initiative: +5
Perception: +15
Oswin is my only in-tier character available, and does some pretty traditional cleric things.

Ah, I think Hawkeye may only have 1 character in tier (Owym) - I could be mistaken though.
Here's my notes:
--
(11) Fendahl : Samurai 1/Druid 10 (melee)
(11) Oswin : Iomedean Cleric 11 (melee/caster)
(10) Owym? : Iomedean Paladin 10 (melee)
(9) Braugher : Monk 1/Sorcerer 8 (melee)
(8) Tico : Sarenrite Cleric 8 (caster)
This is certainly high tier.
I'm thinking out loud here, but what I have in 9-11 that's free:
Melee Oracle 10
Arcanist 9
Melee Alchemist 9
Support Shaman 9
**
.. ruling out Arcanist as his antics may be problematic with the clerics (necromancy).
.. ruling out the melee Oracle as he's largely duplicating a party heavy on melee and divine.
Debating between shaman (who is heavy knowledge skills) and alchemist (who, arguably, is my least dynamic personality out of my first 20 PFS characters).
Both are ranged.
Hmmmm.....
Stay tuned.
Decision imminent...

Without looking at each build, it Seems like skillmonkey is one role we may not have covered.

Selected the shaman - I haven't had a chance to flex him in PbP yet, but have plenty of store time with him, so wanted to give him a spin.
Player: wakedown
PFS: #15208-11
Day Job: Profession (Orator): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
Initiative: +0
Perception: +26 (+28 if heroism up)

Two supports in the party. Cool! :)

As a note, I would like to upgrade both my ring of protection and my amulet of natural armor to +2 on this chronicle, for a total cost of 12,000 GP.
I'll update my profile a bit later today.

Ok guys, I'm reminding you of one of my conditions because I'm serious about it.
I expect roleplaying at my tables. Please keep out-of-character strategy talk to a minimum. And please please no posts with just dice rolls. I expect my players to engage with the game. I have removed players for simply rolling dice without interacting with the story so please take this request seriously. It's a lot more fun for everyone if you do.
It's one of my pet peeves and it was the only specific request I made before the game started. Especially because I am no longer as strict about daily posting, if you don't have the time to interact with the game at the moment I would rather you just not post and wait until you have time to give the game the proper attention it deserves, even if you only write a sentence or two.
It's only happened once so I'm not too concerned about it but I did have a player last year who refused to heed my warning and after several posts with just dice rolls, I had to kick him from the game.
But you guys have been a great group so far so let's just keep going and get on with the game!

My deepest apologies. I had meant to edit that with a statement about Owyn's lack of knowledge on the subject. Unfortunately I had an emergency come up at work while editing the post and I completely forgot about it until looking again this morning.

EndlessForms |

I understand and don't worry about as long as it doesn't become a habit.
But last year I just couldn't believe when I warned several times and someone just kept posting empty dice rolls over and over again with no description. That was really the first time I've ever had a trouble player on the boards. I've had people drop from games without warnings before, but I've never had a bad player on PbP until then. Weird.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

+1 for the pollution schtick. Made me actually laugh out loud.

Ok, so I didn't wan to clutter up gameplay with rules questions, but let me see if I understand the poison situation.
I failed the first save, so I took the 1d6 Strength damage. I lowered my to-hit and damage accordingly.
At the end of my turn I rolled to try to fight off the poison. The DC of this roll would be 25 because I failed the first and the poison is in my system?
Next turn I am more than likely going to get hit by a poison attack.
I need to roll against each new application, correct? And each failure makes the next application harder to fight off?
So for example, next turn I get hit with 2 poison attacks.
The save DC on the first owuld be 25 (23 +2)? If I fail that, the DC for the second attack would be 27?
And the roll I make at the end of my turn is a against the base DC plus whatever applications I failed to save against? (so if I had failed the initial rolls, I would be at a DC of 29?)

I am with you on all that poison mumbo-jumbo, Oswin.
Option 2, we just kill these 3 things quickly so we do not have to worry about any more poison. :) (easier said that done, I know)

EndlessForms |

I'll be away for the weekend so I won't be able to get up a post until Monday night at the earliest. Thanks for being patient!

![]() |

I'm posting this in all my games. I was hoping that tax season wouldn't be quite so rough this year, but I haven't been able to pay any attention to my games after spending so many hours in the office (and posting during the day usually just doesn't work here).
I've got six more weeks to go. I just don't think I can post more than once or twice per week. If you need to drop me, I understand.

EndlessForms |

Don't worry, I'm moving slower than anticipated right now too. Although I'm not working during the 4-5 days when I'm in Madison, I'm working a lot when I'm in Indiana and traveling back and forth is really draining.
I'll push the game forward tomorrow night though. I had a long afternoon and night outside in the cold and 30-40 mph winds digging trenches and laying pipe in the fields...

EndlessForms |

Heads up: Our internet at the old house in Madison is being shut off some time tomorrow and we are moving back to Indiana on Saturday but won't have internet in the new house until Tuesday at the earliest. Sorry in advance if I disappear for a while but I'll try to get back on as soon as I can.

Thanks for the run, EF!
