I'm certainly interested, but there are two small hiccups:
1. I still need to level up Meg to 6. That's fairly minor, though.
2. I'm moving this weekend, so I'll be busy AND without internet at my place (gotta tell my other PbPs that too). I have a couple of options for free internet cafes, but I will also be busy with the move. Let me know if that's a problem/feel free to give others preference if I you don't want to deal with that. :P

Putting this up on a Friday afternoon I imagine it won't fill up for a day or two and even if it does start up this weekend we can go slowly so you don't miss too much. You should have plenty of time.

I am in what I think are the last moments of Feral's Diamond City special PbP with the character I'd like to play in this game. I guess I'm hoping for some time, just like Megferra. Terrill will be a 5th level inquisitor of Desna when the current game ends. Assuming he lives...
Kynrac

Would it be possible to join with Kynrac by chance? He's been idle since his trip to Geb.
He's a time oracle 6 by the way.

Looks like a job for Quiven! Looks like we already have 5 players, cool. I'll be at OwlCon this weekend myself so a Sunday/Monday start seems like a fine idea. It'll give me time to update Quiven here also, he should be 4th, not 3rd.
| EndlessForms |
Wreck (7), Meg (6), Quiven (4), Terrill (4), Kynrac (6), Osric (7) puts us at six with an APL of 5.6 rounded to 6.0, which means we play the high tier. As long as Quiven and Terrill are ok playing up that is.
I'm fine with waiting until after the weekend to get moving. In the mean time feel free to dot the gameplay or introduce yourselves.
Those of you above 5th level: I'll also be starting another one-two games from my high-tier signup sheet this week. Don't know which yet. Just to warn you since being in this game will make you unavailable when those start up.
Wreck
|
Either way. Rest of my characters are 3 or lower. Wreck is my only high tier character. So playing in a high tier is good enough for me. :P

I don't mind playing up, seems to be enough here to protect me. Assuming Faldoc survives OwlCon I'll have a Ranger 7 that could play next week, if you have room.
| EndlessForms |
@Quiven: nice! Add Faldoc to the high-tier sign up sheet over at the Flaxseed Lodge. I've got a 7-11 that's about to wrap up (just some RP to finish up before chronicles are sent out) so there will be a flood of 7+ level characters free so I'm hoping to start one or two 7-11 games next week.
Or you could bring Faldoc here so Quiven doesn't have to play up. It's up to you.

You're such a tease EF. Any ideas at all which games you plan to start next week?
And are most of your other players in the 7-8 range, or above 9?
I wouldn't mind trying a 7-11, but def. not if playing the 10-11 subtier.

It's a mix. They were in between subtiers for their game.
Which game(s) I start depends on which ones have enough players available. So I'll probably wait until they finish to decide.
Whats difference between high teer 4-7 and low tier 7-11?
3-7 scenarios are split into 3-4 and 6-7 subtiers. 7-11 scenarios are split into 7-8 and 10-11 subtiers. So there's not too much of a difference between high tier in a 3-7 (6-7) and low tier in a 7-11 (7-8).

Nah, I'll leave Quiven here, he's been inactive since we left Thistletop. Plus we could use a rogue in this group.
I'll get Faldoc on the list also.

I'm okay with playing up, and happy to be in a game with Kynrac again. I understand the game I'm currently in should wrap up this weekend, so I should be good to start after that.
Kynrac
|
Terril - hi! Glad to play with you again too!
| EndlessForms |
Wreck (7), Meg (6), Quiven (4), Terrill (4), Kynrac (6), and Osric's level 3 would make the APL 5, which means we still play high tier but with the four-player adjustments. Just doing the math, I'll wait to hear from Oswin whether that works for him or not.

I'm at OwlCon this weekend but I'll try to post when I get a chance.
| EndlessForms |
Nevermind, we'll stick with the original arrangement including Osric. I don't want anyone to play up if they're not comfortable with it and he feels better about keeping Osric here. That's probably better for everyone anyways.
We'll get moving on this one in the next few days. The Gameplay thread is open if you'd like to dot it and introduce yourselves though. I'll start moving once everyone has checked in there.

All - I will be on a work trip for the next two weeks (March 2-17). I will have internet access, and some time to check games, but may slow down a bit. Feel free to bot me if I'm holding up combat or otherwise impeding the flow of a game.
Kynrac

Wreck, you really should pick up a wand of cure light wounds to take care of your own healing. At 2PP, it's a bargain.
Terrill Mayern
|
I was thinking the same - if he gets nailed in the front line a lot, it makes sense to be able to contribute some to his own healing - pretty standard item to carry about in PFS.
Wreck
|
Gm cant blame us for lack of trying... not once over 5 rolled...
But as I said. Wreck is gonna try till we cant anymore.

This reminds me of scenario 0-1 (a.k.a. the very first one), where...
Megferra the Rose

My FS is 12. do i auto succeed? or is a 1 still fail? i will roll anyway
Just thought I would answer this in the Discussion thread. :3
A natural 1 is an automatic failure for saving throws and attack rolls.
A natural 20 is an automatic success for saving throws and attack rolls.
The same does not apply to skills (usually). For instance, if you have a +9 to swim, for instance, you auto-succeed on swim checks to move through calm water (DC 10).
Kynrac
|
Aye, she's very fun to play with!
Megferra the Rose
|
Aww, shucks. [/blushing]
It's a wonderful thing when you combine a Paldin's desire for good, Shelyn's tenets of true love, inner and outer beauty, and art, and dumping Int and Wis down to 7.
Osric Longstride
|
I think it's a great combo too! Certainly more fun than the cranky old "detect-smite" paladins you hear about every so often. And better than the players who just pick the class for its features, and not its awesome RP opportunities as well.
(This from the cranky old Knowledge check - arrow burst ranger!)
Quiven Glist
|
The main reason I have yet to make a paladin is because of the roleplay for it. I haven't even really looked at their utilities.
Megferra the Rose
|
Soooo, do any of us have access to any rage-things that could open the door? Or, failing that, an adamantine weapon to take this door apart? :P
Also, for those of you with filth fever, Meg just picked up the remove disease mercy, so I can take care of that for you if you start to feel the effects within the adventure.
Kynrac
|
That will be greatly appreciated Meg! I think I've failed a disease save.
Terrill Mayern
|
Yes, I expect I'll need some disease cured too, I missed my first disease save vs the rats. I'll let you know when I start to feel filthy.
On the door and anger - I bet we could make Wreck angry, but that might be hazardous. Or we could get Meg angry by telling her that some people sell drugs to other people, and make money off it, even though the drug dealers know it will do harm to the drug takers. She would be right upset about that, I'd wager.
Or perhaps Terrill's blistering invective spell would work, since it produces a magical manifestation of fury?
Wreck

Out for the weekend. Will be back on Sunday. But I don’t know how reception will be where we are heading. Will catch up if I can. Bot/NPC my character if needed
Terrill Mayern

First time I've used it, actually. It's so great that it allows you to only target enemies - and it's nice to have rolled the max on both dice!
Megferra the Rose

Let's see, I think by 4th level, my inquisitor's intimidate bonus was something like...
4 ranks + 3 class + 2 Wis (from the Conversion inquisition) + 4 Str (from Intimidating Prowess) + 2 Stern Gaze + 1 trait = +16? I was such a great captain! :D
Terrill Mayern
|
Wow, that's awesome. Terrill was the first inquisitor I've played, and my first PFS character, so he's not particularly optimized, and certainly not optimal for Intimidate, but it's nice when it works out.
And you're giving me some ideas for a new PFS character I need to put together...
