He puts the location of the nest in his memory, and as they leave the area, he stops at intervals to look at landmarks he can use to remember.
When they see another ship crashed onto the beach, a moment of crushing weight hits him. Including the Jenivere, this is the third ship they've seen crashed on Smuggler's Shiv. Like this place just drags seafarers in and strands them.
He tries to recover from the blow to his hope. "To heck with being a pirate. Just hang out on Smuggler's Shiv a while and you can plunder ships without even trying."
He approaches the galley to see what might be found.

"Please, no fighting. It frightens Yana." Indeed Yana seems quite terrified of the exchange, calmly sitting on Viata's shoulder and peering out towards sea, completely oblivious to the exchange. "We should save our strength, yes, and use it to explore that boat. Perhaps it has plunder we can use!"
Grimma Fireforge
Are you Ok Miles ? said Grimma when she heared Miles falling.
Did you see something interessant down there ?
Grimma began searching too but more carrefully now she know that the wood can break under her.

Hum, not the right one, sorry Jask
After searching for a moment, Grimma said to her friends
Name's "Golden Bow" but the only thing of interest I found is some pieces of canvass and a rusty old anchor... I don't know if it can be used for anything.

"So many ships, very strange. One would wonder if there are other people lost on this island. Maybe we can look for tracks around? There could be a jungle city on this island! Miles, after you get out would you want to take a look around?"
Miles of Magnimar
Crack-CRASH!
From the darkness below in the hold of the ship, there is a jingle of equipment. Followed by a mutter. "Son of a b#$~$...yes, I'm fine. Nothing broken. Just bruised. Both my arm and my pride."
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 to look around in the hold

You help Miles from out of the rotten ship's hull and you continue your march further south and after about an hour as the extreme heat start to creep in from the sun beating down upon your necks. Finn seems to want to drink the sea water but Miles the sailor advises him against it. You have followed the beach further south and the land turns westwards a little and you can sea a mini cove.
You then stumble upon the remnants of a quickly rigged shelter and evidence of a small campfire that sits well above the high-tide line on this narrow, sandy beach.

Now this blasted heat won't be a bother. Miles you can stop searching for shade.

Taking 10 on Perception looking for shelter from the sun makes a 16 to notice this shelter
"Someone else has made a shelter here. We can use the canvas to keep out of the sun. We need to stop here or we're going to get dehydrated and very sick."
When Miles gets under the shelter, the first thing he sees is the tricorn. He picks it up, turns it over in his hands, and then shows it to the others. No words are necessary.
EDIT: He drinks greedily from Finn's water and looks very relieved. "Sorry about the Korvosan doctor comment. It's just...I don't care for the heat, is all."
At which point he casts Endure Elements, and suddenly Finn is Miles' new best friend.
Miles of Magnimar
"Let's follow their trail. If it starts to lead back towards the shelter, great. If it veers too far off, we'll need to mark the place where we leave their trail and then try to pick it up again in the morning."
Viata d'Foc
"Hopefully everyone is all right, yes. Though the fact Ieana and the Captain are together is very strange, too strange to be coincidence. Especially with what the journal said. Hopefully we catch up and we can find out what happened. And I hope Jask and the others are okay."
GMEDWIN
I guess you are going to track them or is Finn staying at their campsite?
Grimma and Miles follow the nine hour old footsteps into the interior of the jungle which takes about an hour where the humidity jumps up exponentially and noises become noticeably louder and foreboding. You are able to follow the footsteps for another and in spite of the endure elements you can still feel that sun beat down on you from the single canopy jungle. After about two hours of difficult terrain ascending jungle mountains you come across a trail that seems to be well used by varying humanoid creatures. You do start to see the sun lowering itself to the horizon.

"She's right," he says of Grimma. "I want to find the Captain and Ileana before something happens to them. And a few other reasons," he says, head tilted towards Yana.
After determining the direction back to their camp, Miles uses his whetstone to scratch off patches of bark on the trees surrounding the trail where they are leaving it as a marker for when they come back to find the trail.

A worried look crosses Viata's face, quickly displaced when Yana jumps to a nearby tree just marked by Miles, curious about it. "The jungle is scary, yes. But scarier to leave the others alone I think. Do you think you can lead us through it?" Viata looks between Miles and Grimma for the answer.

If some of you have knowledge of the island Know. Geography may be we will cross more safely through the jungle - I had none.
Said Grimma. Then she looked at Miles
Together I think we can manage to brought us to the camp, but not knowing the way It could take more time than the path we already know
Viata d'Foc
"I'm afraid I don't know much about it, no not at all."
Sadly Knowledge (Geography) isn't trained for me. So can only do a DC10 check. It's also not a class skill, but I'll try to throw a rank in next level so I can at least make checks.
GMEDWIN
Sadly enough, none of you have it trained. Oh well
Your group not wanting to get lost decide to retrace its steps back past the Captain's camp and on to the beach as the sun slips beyond the horizon. You then continue in a northerly fashion for another hour or so and you start to near the nest you had found before. As you get to that area you are hit with a torrential rain storm.
