"Ladies." Abaal says sheathing his blade and making a gallant bow while extending one hand forward.

![]() |

Levin jumps in surprise as three of the hands animate and attack. I should use my bow! He reaches for his bow, but the things are quicker than he expected. By the time he unslings his weapon, the hands are already upon them. No, use your sword! By the time he reaches down with his other hand and pulls out his rapier, Abaal and Kiri dispatch the things with a few swift strokes.
"Wow... That all happened rather quickly, didn't it? Quick thinking, Kiri! Abaal! Small wonder what the Society sees in either of you," he adds with a wink.

![]() |

"Levinpleez, excellent. The glory is our today, but there will be plenty to share soon enough. Can you collect the others, we may have found another route by which to investigate the crypt."

GM DevilDoc |

What now? You can pass through the bodies to continue through the hall, examine the bodies, or choose another door.

![]() |

I'm happy to follow what the group wants to do. :)

![]() |

"We should check every path open to us before resorting to the chime again. Try to remain quiet as we pass through this abattoir. These limbs did not find themselves down here by chance." Abaal draws his falchion and moves ahead.
Abaal plans on checking ahead, if anyone wants to look through the pile of body parts....

![]() |

Kiri peers up the shaft above them and the walkway above them.
"We need to investigate this pile of body parts further," the magus suggests. "I wonder if we shouldn't climb up here and see if we can find anything else."

In unison, the summoner and eidolon trace Pharasma's spiral in the air.
"We'll need to inform the clergy when we return. They can inter them properly."
She too examines the bodies, both normally and with detect magic.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

GM DevilDoc |

Myantha takes a quick look around and doesnt see anything, by Suheyla catches a couple of things: One of the hands in the pile still has an expensive looking gold ring on a finger, and among the dices scraps of the hands that attacked the party, she finds an intriguing symbol tattooed on the back of it, a stylized owl.
Kiri looks at the path above, but cannot see or determine anything from her viewpoint.
Rex climbs down to join the party, while Levin and Abaal check out the cross corridor.
At the cross corridor, there is a flight of steps leading ten feet up on either side of your corridor. Beyond these steps, the cross corridor stretches out for about a hundred feet in both directions before turning a corner at one end South, and opening into a room at the other end North
you hear silence from both ends.

![]() |

"Does anyone know what this symbol might represent?" Suheyla asks before the group departs.
As the long hallway comes into view, she'll offer her suggestion. "Perhaps to the right? We may find areas we bypassed originally, or perhaps whatever lies behind that black statue."

![]() |

"I concur," Kiri says in response to Suheyla. "I believe we might be close," she says with one last look up the shaft. "We should circle back toward where we started."

![]() |

Sorry, I posted twice yesterday and it would appear that phone ate both of them...
Knowledge (history): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Myantha takes a closer look at the hand that tried to kill her and recognizes the tattoo. She relays the (spoiler) information to the rest of the group, adding "Sadly, this raises more questions than it answers. We should keep looking. Perhaps more clues to this riddle lay further in."

![]() |

"That is very mysterious. I have hunch answers lie to left, but I agree we should go right first." Rex nods to the three women.

GM DevilDoc |

Right it is. Please remember to move your tokens appropriately.

Suheyla: I forgot to reply to your K. Religion Roll. You know skeletons are immune to mind effects, and resist all but bludgeoning weapons.
Levin sidesteps, allowing Abaal to charge up the corridor, bashing the skeleton with all of his might. It stagers back, almost losing cohesiveness, but not quite.
Kiri moves forward towards the battle.

Meanwhile, the second rank continues to pour arrows into the party. Abaal manages to keep dodging, but Siorai is not so lucky, and goes down with an arrow in the chest.

Out Of Combat
Take care of any healing or anything that needs to be done for Siorai. The rest of this post is just to follow up and help move things along, as this is a very rough week for me at school. When ready, please move your tokens appropriately.
Sifting through the piles of dust and bones, the party is able to find 20 arrows that are salvageable, but everything else is broken and worn by time. Continuing down the hall, you turn the corner and encounter a set of double doors. They are opened to reveal a room where heavy black curtains drape the walls of this chamber, and a thick layer of dust carpets the floor. Two sets of stone double doors stand in the east and west walls, with the west walls showing the same odd depression as the doors in the room with the statue. Rm 3
