re: Faction Card checkboxes. I'd be up for trying to convince Mother Bogwynne to share her lore with the Scarab Sages in the denouement if she counts as a scholar of some kind.

@Thermidor: For your immediate action rerolls do me a favor and give me some rules about when you want to use your rerolls, and make sure you keep it updated each combat round. For example 'if any ally rolls less than 12 on a saving throw' or 'if Dunia rolls less than 14 on an attack roll' or any other 'if player/enemy(s) XYZ meet condition(s) ABC use the reroll.' If you list those in a post, I'll keep those conditions present until you post a change to those conditions. For enemies, use the raw die number you want to have them reroll on, since as a player you would not be privy to their modifiers. Additionally, if anyone makes a roll and I haven't responded to it yet, feel free to jump in and use the ability. In exchange for that sleight lack of flexibility with your rolls, I'll make sure that if something really awful happens and you have your re-roll available I'll make sure to apply it appropriately.
For skill checks, I'll put the DCs inside of the spoiler instead of outside of the spoiler. That way if you have a reroll available to you, you can make the roll, see the roll result, then decide if you want to use the reroll or not, then open the spoiler tag to see if the check passed or failed and what happened. The check will look like this:

I can only give out one reroll per round, and once per creature per day.*
*Though I do have a similar racial ability, Quibble, which means one PC can get two rerolls per day.
For fluff purposes, I tend to describe the ability as fiddling with the space-time continuum (speeding up an arrow mid-flight, slowing down the attempt to dodge a spell, etc.).
My thought on general reroll policies:
Using for Enemies If none of the PCs have already requested use of a reroll, I'll trigger the ability on the first eligible critical threat (i.e 18 on a Scimitar, 20 on a battleaxe, etc.)
Using for Allies It's probably easiest to go first come, first serve on this, if there's an attack, skill, or saving roll you'd like to try again. If you'd like an enemy to reroll a save vs your spell/ability, feel free to trigger it on my behalf.

Yep. The site is very ancient, the original inhabitants long since dead, and the temple alone is over 2,500 square feet.

Nope. You check those off on your own. I just have to let you know if you did or did not meet the criteria but it's on you to not lie and check random boxes.

Yea, for faction cards I rely on the honor system and expect the same of my players.
Some people request GM to sign off on the sheet or to note goal accomplishment on the chronicle. But this is not the normal case in my experience, but i'll normally do it if they request for it.
