Tikaketsu "Tika" |
Tika will stand just inside of the smithy listening to the Professor talk with Valsog and when Cosmo finishes she speaks up. " Um excuse me master Valsog, sir, I have heard of your amazing work and I was wondering if you would have any way to make some awesome armored feathers or an armored beak and helmet?" At this point Tika is jumping up and down in excitement.

Ranar "The Risen" |

Waiting for Tika to both speak and receive a response. Ranar then addresses Valsog, "The issue is not only that the uprising needs to outfitted. Additionally, it is imperative that Tygora's shipment of weapons ceases." Holding his hands up to fend off any objections that may come. Now I understand that you are being forced to craft shoddy arms for a despot, but I may have a solution. It would be most fortuitous if your forge were to have been 'sabatoged' by some pesky rabble rousers and you were out of commission for a while."
Knowledge Engineering: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (4) + 16 = 20
"All you would need to do is add a small length of pipe here and a butterfly value there. This will create a vaporlock that will interfere will the flow of gases through the forge. Then all you need to do is activate this flapper valve to restore functionality. Here just let me do it for you."
Taking care to alter the forge (if allowed) without burning himself Ranar sets to work adding a covert kill switch.
Disable Device: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (8) + 15 = 23
GM Cody |
Valsog listens to your speech, your plea for help, "I'd ratha not give up my position here, however if ya lose I'd rather not die for helping so I'll allow ya to "sabotage" my forge, Tygora has done me right all these years giving me all the supplies I could ever need, I'd hate to help you fight her only to have the Oreads run me out of town,"
All those rolls are good enough
I'll agree to lend the Oreads my arms and Armor but only if they agree to let me destroy it after this is over. I wont let it be said that Valsog willingly forged shoddy arms and armor!" With that he'll pick up the half-finished Greatsword and shatter it quite spectacularly in his hands.
GM Cody |
taking a moment to realize that Tika isn't just some wayward child that has joined the group, "Oh I'm sorry, little one, I didn't see you down there, I imagine I could fashion some sort of beak weapon given enough time,"
Hlifkom Ingfrothi |
While Valsog addresses Tika, Hlifkom will speak to Ranar.
"Excellent work convincing the smith to our cause. It seems like we should head over to the alchemist. I imagine you have a lot to talk about."
Anastasia Pasara |
Anastasia stands back with her arms crossed over her chest next to Tika listening to the conversation while admiring the smith's work. Wow, theses are amazing too bad they aren't for sale. I could really use a new sword to add to my collection. Maybe, I could see if he would sharpen this one for the time being. Hey, Tika what do you think of Valsog? I am ready to fight, hopefully we can find this Tygora soon and be done with all this information gathering it makes me itchy just standing around waiting when we could be fighting.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Tikaketsu "Tika" |
"yay! Mr. Valsog sir I'm so excited and thank you so much! My Manuk will love it!"
Tika will bow and turn to leave the shop. Once outside Tika will respond to Anastasia "I think Valsog is an honorable smithy and he said he can make my Manuk an armored beak so I think he is great!"
Xiakai |
"Well done my Pathfinder comrades! A drink to celebrate our friendship Valsog! You can rely on us to ensure your relationship with the Oreads and reputation as a master of metallurgy is untarnished", she says with wink. Having poured him a drink during her speech, she hands Valsog a glass and raises hers in his honor.

Ranar "The Risen" |

Ranar stands shoulders squared with a look of satisfaction of a well conceived plan coming to a flawless execution. I had the upmost certainty that, that giant would agree to my plan for sure without question.
I'm almost in shock that my purposed planned actually worked. If this keeps up Ranar will be in danger of becoming a party face. (shudder)
"So finally off to the Alchemist, best for last or some such nonsense."
GM Cody |
You guys head off from Valsog's Forge as groups of Oreads begin arriving to gear up, and as you are walking through the city toward the Everflame Alchemy shop, you notice from Ifrit Guards turn a corner and point towards you raising their weapons!
"Ā'uṭasā'iḍarsa, unalā'ī!"Its what Napali sounds like, instead of their written form! which would be आउटसाइडर्स, उनलाई!
However as they approach, a group of Oreads comes out of nearby houses and jumps on them with clubs, turning to you one of them says, "Hurry! Tygora has started her crackdown of the city! Get to Morak's quickly! We got these guys"
With a new sense of urgency you run the rest of the way to Morak's, only to find a horrifying scene upon arrival. This wood-and-stone structure sits on a busy street corner, red and orange paint brightening its exterior. A sign depicting colorful vials and a beaker hangs above the door.
There are 2 Ifrit Enforcer's tossing jars of oil on the building, laughing to themselves and another that is beating Morak, who is on the ground, defenseless. Click here for the scene before you
The ifrits turn to you, "Halṭa, timī yahām̐ garirahēkā chan?"
Combat hasn't started yet, so I am not rolling initiative.
Professor Cosmo Berrythwaite |
"Play with fire and you're bound to get burned!" Cosmo scolds the ifrits.
The halfling takes a small, cylindrical device from his pocket, turns a dial on one end of it, then clicks a button. "Let's put out some of these flames." He throws the device onto the corner of the roof.
zero grenade attack, DC 5: 1d20 + 8 - 2 ⇒ (13) + 8 - 2 = 19
I can't edit the map, to show you, but he threw it right where the two roofs come together, onto the purple canopy. I'm hoping that the blast can also get the ifrits.
Edit: Also Quick Draw Gamin.
Cosmo quickly draws Gamin, the misforged, from his scabbard with a *schwing*.

Quick note, they've only thrown jars of oil on the building, not yet any fire
Ok. I was confused. :)
May I wait and use that action as a readied action in case they do throw fire on the roof instead?
Tikaketsu "Tika" |
Tika seeing that the alchemist that they are looking to meet is being attacked she grabs her lance and yells at the attackers, "Hey! you guys better stop or else you'll meet my lance! AND then you'll be sorry!"
Tika will ready an attack.
Hlifkom Ingfrothi |
It looks like combat is going to start, so I'll wait to post until after initiatives are all rolled. My initiative roll is Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Xiakai |
"PKaw! Come friends - let us put down our weapons and laugh together!"
Xiakai casts Hideous Laughter (DC 16) on the Ifrit beating on Morak and takes a 5 ft step forward.

Xiakai, you're up, I'll go ahead and use your above post as your action! That worked out nicely. Likewise Cosmo, you end up between the three Enforcers :(
Blue Ifrit's Will Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Xiakai leaps into combat by quickly blasting off a spell at the Ifrits, initiating combat. Unfortunately this Ifrit is able to ignore Xiakai's bad joke. The aggression angers this group and they leap into action!
I'll treat Tika's Ready as a readied attack, I think that seems fair, it's what she was trying to do, since there is absolutely no room to charge on the map anyways. Thank goodness.
The Red Ifrit moves forward, doding under the tip of Tika's lance as she swings it wildly, caught off guard by his surge forward, he'll stretch out his hand and fill the area with a cone of fire, catching Xiakai, Cosmo and the oil soaked building, the oil Bursts into fire!!
Reflex Saves for Xiakai: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 Full
Reflex Save for Cosmo: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12 Half

The Black Ifrit seems to focus intently, pumping himself up, then looks directly at Xiakai saying, "Ma kuṅga phū thāhā"
Then proceeds to punch her in the Beak.
Beak Punch + Knockout - Power Attack: 1d20 + 13 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 13 - 2 = 25

Xiakai Will save vs Knockout Punch Dc 17: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12 Oh Dear!
With a vicious blow straight to Xiakai's beak, she slumps to the ground, unconscious for . .. Rounds of unconscious: 1d6 ⇒ 6
The Red ifrit charges forward, trying to subdue Hlifkom!
Chargeing Attack vs Hlifkom: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 13 + 2 = 16
However Red slipped on a small patch of oil and slips, swinging widly, opening himself up to what will be a vicious onslaught by the group.
The party is up except for Cosmo, Tika! The rest of you guys may post in any order, doesn't really matter unless you want it to matter, than just say you wait till someone else posts for your action to go off! If I did something wrong, sorry, we can try and work out what I did!
Hlifkom Ingfrothi |

Seeing her friend go prone, Hlifkom will draw her blade, focusing on the blue ifrit in front of her. Focusing her will on her blade, she will imbue it with her god's divine power.
Hlifkom draws Gamin the Misforged from his scabbard as a move action, and as a swift action, she will imbue her sword with Bane (Outsider [Ifrit]), using her first round of bane for the day.
"Friend Gamin, guide my strike!"
I don't know if Intelligent items casting spells provokes AoOs, but if it does, that's fine. If it takes up my action economy, I won't have him cast Guidance on me.
Hlifkom will swing at the Ifrit in front of her.
Ranar "The Risen" |
Treating a colleague like this will not stand.
Ranar draws a vial and a small handful of unidentifiable ingredients. He combines them and swirls the glassware in a noticeably practiced fashion.
"Get your dirty damn hands off of my new apprentice!"
Ranar winds up and releases a flask at the Black Ifrit.
He will target the Black Ifrit and extend the splash to the Blue one using Splash Weapon Mastery and
Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 334d4 + 8 ⇒ (4, 1, 4, 3) + 8 = 20
The primary target will be knocked prone unless he makes the reflex save. The other Ifrits will take 12 Splash unless they make the reflex save or take half. The DC for both is 21 and the damage type is force.
Ranar "The Risen" |
Unless otherwise stated I will always exclude the spaces of my teammates and non-hostile NPCs.
GM Cody |
Can your force bombs crit? If so, roll to confirm!
The Black Ifrit will try not to be knocked prone, Reflex Save: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21 However, the force bomb rocks him, it doesn't knock him down!
The Blue Ifrit and Red Ifrit's saves, Blue: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21
Red: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27
These town guards aren't falling for your guys' shenanigans, both are able to remain standing and avoid most of the damage

The only ones left to post in this round is Xiakai, who is unfortunately prone and unconscious unless someone shakes her awake as a standard action. Anastasia and Sticky, who I don't think is participating in this combat.

Is the Ifrit in front of me prone ? Anastasia doesn't hesitate and grabs her sword ready to take an action. This went sideways fast. We are dealing with some really fine folks I see. I guess I will get my wish to kill some badies today.
I rage with my sword above my head and scream with all my might at the Ifrit in the square in front of me. I just hope I can connect and kill this no good Ifrit and scare the pants of the rest of these horrible people.
long sword: 1d8 + 4 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 9 = 15
GM Cody |
Xiakai, you may attempt a Full Round Action on your turn that does not provoke Attacks of Opportunity to wake up from that sucker punch. You roll a will save to beat the DC 17
Ranar "The Risen" |
Oh yes thank you. Shouldn't post before I've had breakfast, totally didn't see the 20.
Confirmation: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 221d4 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
GM Cody |
It confirms, you forgot a couple of d4 but no worries, I'll roll 'em
The rest of his crit: 3d4 ⇒ (2, 2, 3) = 7
Black is now at 36 damage.
Ranar "The Risen" |
I can't multiple the bonus damage on a crit. "The damage of an alchemist's bomb increases by 1d6 points at every odd-numbered alchemist level (this bonus damage is not multiplied on a critical hit or by using feats such as Vital Strike)." So on a crit I get another 1d* and my int modifier plus bonuses again and that is all. :(
GM Cody |
oh hunh... Well there ya go, Learn something new every day. Black Ifrits damage drops from 36 to 29.
Xiakai |
I believe that Xiakai also took half damage from the burning hands spell for 15+7=22 total damage - noted in my byline. :)
Will save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
Xiakai remains unconscious.
GM Cody |
Xiakai's unconscious body twitches and shudders but the blow to the beak was costly, she'll be feeling that one for days.
Morak stands up and steps back into the corner space, "Please. . .don't hurt them, that's my son, Tygora has corrupted them but please don't kill them. . ."
To which the Red Ifrit sneers, "Shut up old man!" He'll then pump himself up a bit more and then deliver a deadly combo to Anastasia.

Tikaketsu "Tika" |
After seeing everyone take some damage Tika is ready to join in the fight.
"this is what happens when you hurt my friends!"
Sense Motive to read the crowd: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 hmm not quite enough for her to figure out the crowd

Sadly and much to the team's dismay, Tika and Manuk flail about hopelessly trying to attack.
I'll go ahead and roll Anastasia's attack roll.
Attack + Rage: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 9 + 2 = 22
I'm not seeing how you got 1d8 + 4 + 9 for your damage, your character sheet shows 1d8 + 4, rage would add +2, power attack if you were would add +4, However I see you have furious focus so I'll assume you're always power attack? Because why not?
Damage(From what she rolled): 2 + 4 + 2 + 4 = 12
It took a while but after a series of parrys and dodges, Anastasia scored her hit from early, cutting into the Red Ifrit viciously.

Professor Cosmo Berrythwaite |
At the start of the round, Cosmo adds +1 from Gamin to Hlifkom's blade.
"Bes grant me your favor!" Cosmo casts divine favor on himself, then steps forward.
"Do your thing, Gamin!"
Anastasia Pasara |
Anastasia stands straight and shakes off the blow she just received.
Anastasia does not like being hit, now its time to really put the hurt on them.
Anastasia will attack the black guy infront of her.
You go, Gamin! Take those guys down and show them who is boss.
Attack + Rage: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 9 + 2 = 15
GM Cody |
I'll assume ya mean the red guy right in front of ya, sadly your attack doesn't hit.
Black and Blue ifrits are both reeling from that freezing grenade that just went out however, with a fire in their eyes they'll launch on all out assault.
Black ifrit slides around Xiakai's unconscious body to Cosmo, attempting to punch him into next week.
Punch + Power Attack: 1d20 + 13 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 13 - 2 = 22
Punch damage: 1d8 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 4 = 10
The Red ifrit will full attack, sending a barrage of elbows, kicks and punches at Anastasia and Hlifkom.
Punch 1 + Power Attack + Knockout vs Anastasia: 1d20 + 11 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 11 - 2 = 11
Elbow Slam + Power Attack vs Anastasia: 1d20 + 11 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 11 - 2 = 11
Shin kick to Hlifkom + Power Attack: 1d20 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 6 - 2 = 23
However in a dizzying display he simply whirls about flailing his arms in Hlifkom's and Anastasia's general direction. One hit even manages to connect with Hlifkom's armor however the large gong sound seemed to show his hand got more hurt than Hlifkom.
Bold is up, round 3 for Xiakai, round 2 for Ranar/Hlifkom

Anastasia 34 damage (Has Guidance from Cosmo)
Anastasia sent a flurry of metal in the Red Ifrit's direction however, he was able to dodge aside, the blade cutting nothing by air.
I'm rooting for you Xiakai, struggle out of your unconsciousness! They could really use ya!

Xiakai's total damage is 40 (33 + 7 from original burning hands)
full round Will save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
Stirring on the floor slightly, Xiakai blinks repeatedly, unable to believe the horror of her friends getting a fiercely unwelcome beating!
She attempts to shake off what feels like vertigo and a killer headache.

Ranar "The Risen" |
Sense Motive: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5
"Clearly these Oreads showed up to see a real fight."
Ranar draws another force bomb with an exaggerated motion, now pandering to the crowd. He inserts the ingredients, shakes the vial and arcs his throw to the Red Ifrit. At the last second he twists his wrist to apply English in order to extend the splash to the Black Ifrit.
As always I will exclude my allies. The DC for Prone and 1/2 Splash is 21. Splash Damage is 11 force.
Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 244d6 + 8 ⇒ (4, 1, 6, 2) + 8 = 21

Ranar lobs a bomb with spectacular fashion, right into the chest of the Red Ifrit, exploding with force, however recoiling from the blast he is able to stay on his feet.

Black Ifrit's Reflex Save vs DC 21: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31
With ease, they turn aside from explosion, ignoring the brunt of it.
They are none too pleased with Ranar in the back there, Ranar can tell they look pretty angry at him at this point, recognizing him as the largest threat in the group.

Adding the sense motive again to this post, its the same as before, just doing it for Hlifkom, so she doesn't forget :)
At this point quite a crowd of Oreads has begun to gather however they seem to gasp and cringe as the combat progresses down a more deadly route.
You're able to discern that the oreads are not concerned about earning the wrath of the other ifrits so much as they are filled with sadness and regret at seeing the ifrits injured. Even though the ifrits have served Tygora as a her soldiers and brutal police, many oreads still see them as wayward children.
Hlifkom Ingfrothi |
"Thank you, friend Cosmo."
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (2) + 18 = 20 Wow, by the skin of her teeth
Surveying the crowd around her, she sees the gathered Oreads dislike for the lethality of the combat against their former children.
"Perhaps we should take pains not to kill these Ifrit. Our Oread comrades seem to hold them dear."
Hlifkom will sustain her use of bain against the Ifrit, though she will try to strike them with the flat of Gamin's blade, for non-lethal damage.
Wow, close to the worst rolls I could make. At least trying to make it non-lethal wasn't what messed me up.
GM Cody |
Its okay, I think everyone is rolling a little poorly this fight

Gamin casts guidance on Cosmo.
"I hate to get out ol' Beaut, but we are getting our proverbial asses kicked here." Cosmo quickly draws his gun—he is one of the fastest draws in the entire Inner Sea with a firearm.
The professor steps back toward Ranar, focuses his shot, and takes fire at the ifrit guard.

Xiakai |
Kofusachi!
Xiakai casts grace and then stands, moving back from the combating Ifrits. Honing in on her patron's great ace, she casts cure moderate wounds in place of her prepared Hold Person spell.
CMW: 2d8 + 10 ⇒ (2, 2) + 10 = 14
Again attempting to understand the surrounding combat, she looks around - puzzled at what she sees.
Sense Motive, untrained: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
