Scarab Sages

*lawls*

I am in the process of making a dusk elf night time stalker of doom.... and we have queen lightbulb.... lovely :P Love what I see Lessah dont worry about me.

just *lawls*

Yeah, I noticed that there might be some anti-synergy there :P

Hopefully nothing that will impact too much, since most of the light-magic is not essential for the combat anyhow : )

Scarab Sages

No worries at all, i mean what is light without darkness?

Warm and cosy :P?

But I must admit, I started with the Lunar mystery and I am somewhat tempted to try that build too ...

Would probably be switch-hitier then this build, on account of being able to ditch Dex (and thus getting some fun feats instead of Precise shot!).

Hmm

Female Human (Australian) Photographer 4 / GM 3 / SSO 1

Okay, so we have a Radiant Warrior of the Holy light, and Mr. Grimdark. Perhaps I'll play something that just straight up doesn't give a f!&*, and just wants to get shit done. But what... -__-

I feel awful about this, but I'm stuck.

Silver Crusade

She/They/He

Sorry for the delay, trying to decide between a Winter Witch... and a genderswapped Neverhome.

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

No worries. :)

Silver Crusade

She/They/He

Hmm, if I did go Neverhome would you allow VMC Sorcerer for the Linnorm Bloodline?

Scarab Sages

would a genderswapped neverhome be instead alwayshome?

Silver Crusade

She/They/He

Uh, no.

Scarab Sages

good, i dont think home is where the adventure lies *Nods*

Silver Crusade

She/They/He

*shakes head*

Scarab Sages

but for cereal that sounds the awesome *Nods*

Overseer of the Lands Controller of the Universe

Ill be working on my character soon. :3

Overseer of the Lands Controller of the Universe

Thinking of a silent ninja/shadowdancer....

Overseer of the Lands Controller of the Universe

Would there be people to flank with?

Overseer of the Lands Controller of the Universe

I just noticed that TheNine is also going sd. Since I am focusing on another build type, can I still make it?

Scarab Sages

It would mean a dance partner when it comes the the flanky goodness,

Overseer of the Lands Controller of the Universe

Yesh. THats what I thought. :3 And my build s much different from yous. lol

TheNine, your will save is scary low. Might want a cloak of resistance.

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

@VMC I've never actually never looked at that. Let me read up on it.

Also, remember that youall probably have at least heard of one another. If there are two shadow dancers, you can totally be a team.

@Low Will Saves - I don't think he has bought any stuff so far, so that will probably improve : )

@Choon - I'm thinking of maybe heading the spear n shield route and mix up a little bit more in melee; would it nix you if I took the stats for a Bastard Sword and exchanged the S damage for P and pretended it was a nice 1 handed spear: )?

(Since the only 1 handed spear is the short spear which feels like a waste with access to both Exotic and Martial weapons)

Edit: Fixed a silly error

Vitals:

Look good?

Scarab Sages

its on my list of goodies *nods*

Vitals:

I just need to finish buying stuff.

Scarab Sages

I guess i should go ahead and finalize my toys.... Where there any like listed no can has things? Cause a sunblade looks awful nice *Nods*

OOooohhh your a half elf? *lawls* any idea who you father is?

Male Elf 133/156 Hp |AC 27; 14; 23 | Fort +17; Ref +16; Will +14 | Init +3 | Per +23;+27 vs humanoid (humans) +25 magical beasts

I have most of my things purchased, I have about 5,000 hanging around for some consumables, gonna plan my skills spent here in a bit after lunch.

Will any of the things I have purchased be too much? I wont lie i tried not to be too ridiculous in my spending *lawls*. Is that a bit better a will save for you L? :P

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

@VMC neverhome: I've never had a character use this system before and it seems like it could be really strong. It is half your fears, however. I think the problem lies in the fact that I read it and really have nothing to compare it to.
I'll say ok and we can keep an eye on it. As long as everyone here is honest with each other and doesn't get snippy if things go ploin-shaped and somebody turns out to be an untouchable demigod accidentally then I feel better about allowing it.
To be clear, I'm not saying youall would do that. There's a reason this is a private recruitment. Just voicing my worst feasts up front. This is lvl 17 after all. Crazy crap is to be expected.
All that to say sure, Rysky. I'm a little on the uneasy side, but let's see how it shakes out.

@Bastard Spear: I love spear wielders. Always have. But let me ask you this: How do you envision your character fighting? Because if he's mobile and agile (like the movie Troy, for instance) a short spear is exactly what you need.

Silver Crusade

She/They/He

Okies, thanks! :3

Well start on Fem!Home in the morning, sleepytime nao.

@Mobility - While I too like mobility, I envisioned it more like slower stabs and lots of pushing or directing the enemy (Bull Rush). Where something sturdier would feel more appropriate - more classical valkyrie or unmounted knight then Brad Pit, if that makes sense :P

Hence my desire to take the Bastard Sword and call it a one-handed spear (and the 1d10 damage synergies nicely with the Impact enchantment!).

But it might be easier to simply have two weapons (1 for stabbing and one for ranged stabbing), since it would be easier to fit all the nice enchantments on them ... (Impact is really useful for melee, but I don't need Conductive there. And to throw a 'bastard spear' one need the throwing enchantment)

@Crazy Crap - We'll try to play nice .P I'll try to put my stat-block into an alias later today to make benchmarking easier : )

And then we can see and adjust if needed!

Male Elf 133/156 Hp |AC 27; 14; 23 | Fort +17; Ref +16; Will +14 | Init +3 | Per +23;+27 vs humanoid (humans) +25 magical beasts

In all honesty im afraid i will be weak *lawls* most games i play we usually stop around oh 10. The only time Ive played higher was very crazy but I plan on playing super nice, we are all good peeps i think yes?

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

I think you are all good peeps, at least. :P

As for the bastard spear, I hesitate on that so much because it's an ability that takes 2-3 levels to attain normally. I feel like I just can't hand-waive that kind of investment whether I agree with that game design choice or not. I'm willing to hear arguments to the contrary, but right now I'm favoring the two weapon route.

Oh, I think I have failed to communicate my desire. Lemme try again : P

As an half-elf, the character can get Exotic Weapon Proficiency for 'free' (well, as a trait!).

If I pick 'Bastard Spear' with that, could I buy a weapon that is functionally identical to a Bastard Sword (except maybe change the damage type [P instead of S]) and that we pretend look and act like a spear instead of a sword?

(No mechanical changes, except maybe P damage instead of S damage)

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

Ok... I think I see what we're saying now. Really, you're using EWP: Bastard sword to use it in one hand and using all it's stats, but flavoring as a spear. I get it. I see that in your previous post now. That isn't nearly as big a deal as I thought.
Ok. I can deal with that.

Yepp, that's it : )

Also, I created an alias to make it easier to update and follow. Not sure about the picture, but I didn't really find any that really felt right. Might have to look around a bit more. Also, the cheesy title is just there since just the name was already taken :P

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

Right now we're looking at Shadow dancer TWF in Asselus, Shadow dancer stealth scimitar in L, a rage prophet and an undecided in Ronza. Yes?

Male Elf 133/156 Hp |AC 27; 14; 23 | Fort +17; Ref +16; Will +14 | Init +3 | Per +23;+27 vs humanoid (humans) +25 magical beasts

and Fem!home i think?

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

Female Human (Australian) Photographer 4 / GM 3 / SSO 1

Okay, now I'm tossing up between a master chymist, an occultist, and a spiritualist... I'm leaning towards the spiritualist, but I honestly feel like there won't be much unique there, what with two shadows and a charisma-monster.

The phantom is freaking awesome and makes a kickass scout (playing one in a CoT game).

I'd say go for whatever looks the coolest* and damn the consequences/party balance ect :P

*And, the Spiritualist does look cool!

Besides, if you go spiritualist we can just send team incorporeal to kill off any foes lacking proper weaponry. There usually are at least a few of those in each ap/module ^^

Female Human (Australian) Photographer 4 / GM 3 / SSO 1

The spiritualist tickles my fancy the most. I'm not sure how to build one, but I'll start playing.

As a heads-up, I'm running games at ConCentric most of this weekend. The Sunday also happens to be my six year anniversary with my now-fiance, so don't expect a flurry of activity from me!

Vitals:

Okay. I think I may be finished. XD

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

Don't forget your stories!

Vitals:

oh yes. story will be soon. :D
