Goblin will save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (14) - 1 = 13
Warchanter save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Chaise's bolt strikes the goblin hard and nearly knocks it off its feet but it remains standing.
One of the goblins near Spectrum falls over snoozing, a thin trail of spittle dangling down from its mouth, but the other remains standing and laughs scornfully.
It laughs less scornfully when it barely dodges Wyam's lance and then, shrieking, is pummeled to death by its hated enemy's hooves.
The remaining three goblins are utterly terrified by Wyam's snorting mount and run away; Noro is in their way so two of them desperately strike at her.
Goblin 1 attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 1d4 ⇒ 4
Goblin 2 attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20 2d4 ⇒ (3, 2) = 5
One of their blades is easily deflected but the other sinks into Noro's leg.
Noro, you are up.
Noro Kasuri |
Noro barly notices the gash in her side the blood trickles out apparently not too deep of a cut but the guilty goblin now has to experience Noro's wrath, he is only glad that it wasn't him that broke the whiskey bottle.
no good piecsh of cattle dung sha says as she lays into the goblin with an uppercut intially relishing the stunning hit he had inflicted.

Round 2
Wyam takes advantage of his poor lancemanship to wheel Fearghus around toward another goblin who appeared to be one of the last few of his band. Nudging the horse forward, Wyam hoped to redeem himself against the creature - however much was to be found in slaying a lone gobline.

Damage: 2d8 + 8 ⇒ (1, 1) + 8 = 10

Chaise Zikaldiru |
Chaise puts his dagger away again. Isme on his shoulder pipes up.
The man snorts at his raven's comment before noticing the fire problem. He looks around for nearby water sources. "The fire!"
GM Arkwright |
Spectrum manages to use his martial prowess to extinguish all the fires. Some faces poke their faces out of the windows and cheer you all loudly, before they are drowned out by a new round of screaming. Through the galleys you see scenes of destruction and terror occurring everywhere. A merchant runs through the street and a goblin jumps off the building, knife clutched between its teeth. He screams and dodges and the goblin hits the ground, the knife beheading its owner. Through another one of the alleys you see a mother clutching a baby running; a goblin throws a flaming torch at her but it misses and hits one of his fellows.
Father Zantus rushes down the street away from the cathedral towards you, holding his robes up for extra speed. He approaches you. "You... you saved us at the cathedral, and the.. and the Dragon. Thank you! Blessings of the Gods be upon you! Mayor Kendra said she thouht much of you fellows but I never conceived..." Panting, he pauses for a moment before continuing- "I need to get to the White Deer- I saw guards running from there, I must make sure it is safe. But first..."
Stepping forwards, he raises a hand and intones a blessing, and a bright golden light shines between his fingers. Stepping forward, he touches Wyam, Noro and Chaise with the healing light.
Wyam: be healed for 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Noro: be healed for 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Chaise: be healed for 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
"If... if you would... I could use your help. Will you follow me?"
Noro Kasuri |
Noro calms down a bit but definately looks fatigued before we go anywhere I need another drink
Noro goes back into the Dragon. and asks for another bottle of whiskey since the goblins smashed her last one.
thanksh and she tosses Amieko a gold coin. Keep my brother out of trouble
Noro still a bit fatigued but she is ready to go with the priest.
ending rage and fatigued for 4 rounds
Chaise Zikaldiru |
How're we treating the sudden mysterious disappearance of Elena? The magic of let-us-never-speak-or-mention-it-again? :D
Chaise nods. "I will follow. Anything I can do to help."
Spectrum |
She got ripped apart by goblins in an alleyway. I didn't know her, and there were other things to worry bout, so I didn't address it, but yoou guys might have different reactions.
GM Arkwright |
I'd like to try something a little different for this battle. I'm afraid you'll probably have to sign up to the site, if you have problems with that just say so. But otherwise, here.
http://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/43584/arkwrights-enrichment-centre
Running through the streets, most of the goblins you see are dead or badly wounded. Guards seem to be mopping up most of them and have a few captured.
Turning a corner, you see a horrifying tableau in front of the White Deer.
A tall goblin clad in leather armor astride a Goblin Dog is fighting with a prancing mount, it's master cowering in an aristocrat's robes behind him. As you turn the corner the goblin plunges its longsword into the horse's chest and it falls to the ground dead. Grinning and laughing and caloohing loudly and their victory, the rider and his four other goblins, they begin to step closer and closer to the terrified nobleman.
Chaise Zikaldiru |
I should probably act suitably horrified since my teammate just got brutally killed. And GM, it tells me 'Not Authorized' when I try to access your link.
Chaise Zikaldiru |
Chaise reacts quickly, grabbing a handful of rose petals from a pouch and waves the fist holding it at the goblins as he starts chanting in a forceful tone.
Start Full-Round Action: Cast Sleep (DC 16, Will negates)
Noro Kasuri |
assuming at least 4 rounds has passed so Noro is no longer fatigued
theshe gblinsh are really pishing me off
Noro finishes off the last few drops of whiskey as they round the corner to the scene.
Firsht singersh, now ridersh
she drops the empty bottle as the booze fuels her anger and Noro charges the riding goblin and leaps at him attempting to grapple the sucker off the dog.
Rage, partial charge assuming within 30' dicegrapple attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
just in case needed acrobatic check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

Noro Kasuri |
ahh 60' then cannot get there need to change actions. BTW whats the link for?
also I myself learned this not to long ago...see spoiler
If you are able to take only a standard action on your turn, you can still charge, but you are only allowed to move up to your speed (instead of up to double your speed) and you cannot draw a weapon unless you possess the Quick Draw feat. You can't use this option unless you are restricted to taking only a standard action on your turn.
Noro will just simply advance 30' toward the goblin
If you know whatsh good for you, you'll back down now She tries to egg on the goblin to come after her instead.
Spectrum |
Spellcraft (to figure out what Chaise is casting and what his likely target is): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
With a quick glance toward the human arcanist, Spectrum assessed the situation and moves forward with Ms. Noro, flickering a bit further forward every few steps.
The medallion around his neck flashed, refracting the light into an impressive array of dancing rainbow dots for a moment as Spectrum willed the magic to obey him.
Moving forward 40 feet, casting Grease via Bonded Item, putting the edge of the effect in front of the Aristocrat so the goblins will have to go through it to approach him.
GM Arkwright |
Map Image. Sorry, posted wrong image previously.
Spectrum's amulet shoots a bolt of grease under the goblin's mount's feet.
There is no square between the dog and the nobleman so I just put it underneath the dog's feet.
Goblin dog reflex save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
With a startled howl, the dog slips over, falling to the ground in a heap, its dismounted master next to it blinking dazedly.
Wyam, you are up. After you post then It'll be first-round actions from everyone else.
Wyam Marshaal |
"Ha, Fearghus!" shouts Wyam, spurring his horse in a charge toward the nearest goblin.
Attack (Lance, Charge, Mounted): 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 5 + 2 + 1 = 23
Damage: 2d8 + 8 ⇒ (2, 4) + 8 = 14
Status Wyam hp 13, AC 18 +++ Fearghus hp 20, AC 12
Chaise Zikaldiru |
Chaise finishes his spell, bringing the rose petals to his mouth and blowing out forcefully, scattering the petals in the goblins' direction.
Finish Full-Round Action: Sleep (DC 16, Will negates) on area near aristocrat.
Chaise Zikaldiru |
"Hah!" Chaise cheers even in the middle of the chaos. "Did you see that? I finally got it to work! And no petals in my nose this time!"
Isme on his shoulder pipes up.
"Congratulations," the raven says dryly, "though you really don't need that spell when you can put people to sleep with your talking."
Noro Kasuri |
Well no need to waste rageing unless there are onther goblins in the area.
Noro simply walks up to the sleeping war dog grabs it by the scruff of its neck and twist it snapping its neck Shorry bout that, but Your raishing has been corrupted
A part of Noro feels sorry for the poor animal, it was only doing what it was trained to do. The goblin on the other hand Killing him is being nice.
will be full round action so will have to wait till next round unless some feels better killing the dog instead of Noro. Coup de Grace for 16 damage plus fort save Dc 26 to live (unless the damage kills it)
Spectrum |
"Are you injured, Councilman?" Spectrum says, dismissing his grease spell and adressing the cowering man.
Just making up a title for him since he was wearing nice clothes. Guessing he's a member of the merchant's council or the town council. I'm assuming Spectrum recognizes him. If the title doesn't fit, retcon it to whatever is appropriate.
GM Arkwright |
Spectrum skips through the snoring carcasses of the dog and its rider and his friend. The two other goblins, their leader having disappeared, turn and run for the alleys. You hear the sounds of one of them being caught by the guards- nothing from the other.
Spectrum recognizes the man as Aldern Foxglove, a well-known nobleman in the town.
Rising shakily to his feet, Aldern lets loose a cry of thanks. "Sirs! Sirs, such brave sirs! I thank you so much for my deliverance, my safety, my very life! Spectrum, and you sir, your magics saved me! Madam Noro, I doubt not that your fierceness made those goblins run. And you... you sir, majestic upon your mount driving that last one to the ground!" Recovering himself more and more, he begins to praise Wyam and his martial skill, speaking admiringly of his skill at arms and his noble steed.
Finally some sheepish guards come out from beside the alleys and put the goblins in irons, somewhat roughly. Aldern continues "I- I must return to the Dragon; I am staying there for the time and I must make sure some people are safe. Please, visit me soon, it seems this whole ghaslty mess is over- It would be my honor to talk with you more and perhaps, if i may, discuss the matter of a reward..."
Bowing deeply to you, Aldern heads off to the Dragon, accompanied by a few guards. It seems the crisis is over. The shrieks and laughs of the goblins are almost completely silenced and all smoke plumes have been arrested. Several of the guards applaud you, and even more salute you. A few of the patrons in the White Hart look out the windows and join in.
The day has been won. And it would seem... that you are heroes.
Spectrum |
"I will accompany you, sir." Spectrum says, walking with the nobleman. "This day's surprises may not be at an end. I would prefer not to be caught unprepared again."
Looking to his winged two companions, he said "I would appreciate it if they two of you would do a circuit of the town. Look for any more goblins who may be hiding nearby, and for any casualties who may not have been found yet."
Spectrum |
Upon reaching the Rusty Dragon, Spectrum donned a set of lightweight armor that primarily protected his pelvis and belly, obviously designed not to interfere with spellcasting, then added a double-wrapped belt with a bandoleer shoulder strap. He sheathed a curved elven longsword at his side, filled his quiver and tucked his elven bow into it's case on his back.
The warrior who exited his rooms looked markedly different than the scholar who had entered.
Noro Kasuri |
Noro grumbles at the word Madam, Form her experiences there is only one kind of madam and Noro may be alot of things but that is not one of them.
as they head off to the dragon Noro mumbles in Tien
Call me madam, I ain't that kind of girl, Jusht who doesh he think he ish.
Back at the Dragon Noro grabs a chair and takes a seat looking for Amieko or one of her servers for a drink.
ordering her usual along with he brothers spicy Chicken.
Wyam Marshaal |
"I thank you for your compliments, sir, but they are not necessary. I but heed the call of the Inheritor and the rest is my duty."
Following the man back to the Dragon, Wyam couldn't help but wonder how the whole town had been surprised by a goblin attack at midday.
Upon arriving at the Inn, Wyam first saw to Fearghus' needs before entering shortly after to see the woman from the previous tavern muttering to herself in a foreign language.
"Well met, mi-, er..." he trailed off, unsure of an address the clearly NOT 'miss' would find acceptable.
Noro Kasuri |
Noro wipes her mouth on her shirt sleeve and wipes her hands on her pants then offer (or tkes) Wyam's hand Noro she says sensing his stumbling for the right greeting.
Have a seat. My brother ushually worksh the kitchen here, thish is his shignature dish. want shome?
she offers some of her bowl to Wyam. think General Tso Chicken over rice, extra spicy
Noro has a distict lisp in her speech.
Wyam Marshaal |
Upon having his hand grabbed and shaken (rather vigorously), he continues, "Noro."
"I'm Wyam, and the other man is Chaise. I don't know the Elf with the little dragon pets, though. Chaise and I met up with him during the fighting - like with you. We had another companion, but neither of us have seen her since before the fighting. I'm sure she'll turn up soon."
Chaise Zikaldiru |
Chaise grins at the applause, throwing his arms in the air and basking in the attention. He follows Wyam back to the Dragon, grin disappearing from his face as the adrenaline fades.
He nods to Noro in greeting. "Nice to meet you." The wizard looks at Wyam. "I saw her earlier during the fighting but I lost track of her in the chaos. I hope she's alright."
GM Arkwright |
PART TWO: LOCAL HEROES
As Sandpoint recovers from the attack and buries its (thankfully few) dead, the citizens do their best to get on with their lives. The cathedral is consecrated the next day during a much more subdued and indoor ceremony, but by the end of the week, the goblin attack is remembered mostly with chuckles. Now that the terror of the raid is over, memories of goblins accidentally lightning themselves on fire, getting stepped on by horses, or drowning in rain barrels that were only half full in the first place render memories of the raid in an almost comical light. But one thing the locals haven't forgotten... is their new heroes. You lot.
Soon, your names and deeds become common household knowledge. Chaise takes a simple walk down Main Street and the local baker, Alma Avertin, charges out onto the road and presses a fresh-baked loaf of bread into his arms with worried comments that he must be starving. A visit to any tavern leads to rounds of cheers and applause and rounds of drinks on the house. Orwen passes by Sandpoint Theatre only to have Cyrdak Drokkus jump out, trying to convince him into auditioning for his new play. Note veryone in Sandpoint wants to be your best friend, but you are far more than welcome.
Orwen's good looks and mighty nobility atop his stallion spark the imaginations and eyes of many of the local women; he notices- or if not, everyone else does- young ladies giggling or blushing as he walks by, maybe a few trinkets left where he's been staying the night (for free, of course).
Eventually, he is approached by Shayliss Vinder. She says that her father has been far too distracted with her sister's private life to keep up with the store's pest problem; just the other day, she's sure she saw one the size of a goblin hiding behind a barrel at the far end of the basement. Her father is far too distracted to deal with them and, well, since there is this handy big hero in town, would you be able to come and deal with them? She stresses that there's not many rats, but they are large, just enough for one hero to come and aid her with this problem...
Orwen has his 'task'. Good luck to him. The rest of you can do whatever you want. Investigate the goblins or bask in your fame. Post it.
