You don't; they appear automatically when they post. For example: The Dread Pirate Hurley should now show up under 'Players'. When we post in the game thread, we'll show up under 'Characters'.
To respond to your earlier question, twilsemail/Skaldi, Lieutenant Jeggare is LN.
EDIT: Correction. Players and Character appear to only appear once they've posted in the game thread; the discussion thread post doesn't seem to add a poster to the list.

Skaldi, if nobody else is interested in being the party face, I'm game for it. It fits my concept well enough. My CHA is only 10, but I should still be able to manage a decent diplomacy score. My thrush familiar grants me the equivalency of Skill Focus: Diplomacy (that would stack with SF if I take it later), I can use a trait to get Diplomacy as a class skill.
That said, if anybody else prefers to do it, by all means.
I anticipate that my combat role will be support/battlefield control spellcasting. It seems we have enough melee combatants that I may not need to go Eldritch Knight.

I can pull a skill point from somewhere and put it in diplomacy. I'd have a +10 or so with the reworking. Skaldi's built to befriend people. His habit of telling tall tales should do him some good here.
We'd need someone else with a decent "Profession Sailor" though.
I'm going to look at the campaign traits again, to see what might fit the "face" position.

To quote the players guide:
"Certain skills and feats will be particularly useful during the Skull & Shackles Adventure Path. First and foremost is the Profession (sailor) skill. Some sort of social skill—either Bluff, Diplomacy, or Intimidate—will also be important, especially in the first adventure, and to gain Infamy throughout the campaign. Characters interested in using siege engines such as ballistae and catapults during ship-to-ship combat should strongly consider taking the Exotic Weapon Proficiency feat to gain proficiency with siege engines and putting ranks in Knowledge (engineering). Other skills that will be helpful are Climb, Craft (sails), Craft (ships), Craft (siege engine), Knowledge (engineering), Knowledge (local), Profession (cook), Profession (siege engineer), and Swim. Feats such as Athletic and Skill Focus can be useful, as well as feats such as Expert Driver, Sea Legs, Siege Commander, Siege Engineer, Siege Gunner, Skilled Driver, and Sure Grasp (all from Ultimate Combat)."

I currently have Profession (sailor) +6 and Diplomacy +8.
DM, for future reference, what skill would you anticipate using for ship navigation? That's my intended role, but there is no clear-cut skill for it. Knowledge (nature/geography) and Profession (sailor) both would work. Your thoughts?
monjebleu
For the actual controlling of the ship, Profession (Sailor) is used for wind and current power ships, while Diplomacy/Intimidate may be used for man power, such as rowing.
As far as navigation goes, I don't have the actual AP with me so I can't give an official answer, but For now I'm going to say that you can use either of those skills to navigate.

Well, making a Fighter was actually harder than I thought it would be, but it's done! (well, still working up a backstory and items other than weapons and armor)
For your consideration Gideon Stronghand
This is my first time making a Fighter and I've made him as a straight damage dealer who boards the enemy ships and takes the fight to them. Feedback would be extremely welcome if you have the time.
monjebleu
Gideon might want to check out this archetype; it's from Pirates of the Inner Sea and is recommended by the SaS player's guide. It seems that it would fit your concept perfectly.
Also a ship-boarding combatant might run into difficulties being forced to wield a greatsword with two hands. A one handed cutlass (1d6 - 18-20/×2) might be easier to manage and more thematic. You might also want to sink a few skill points into acrobatics to help with the swinging on ropes and such.
Of course, if you're going for a less agile no nonsense, smash-their-faces-in fighter, then your choices would work fine.

I have no idea how I missed that archetype! Looks right up my alley. I'm a bit scared to switch to the cutlass though as my damage drops.....so no reason I can't remain versatile and have both! (I am a fighter after all =P) Thanks for the suggestion!
And yeah I'll be putting a point into acrobatics the next few levels.

I am making a a Druid. I am thinking seagull animal companion. I will have the character ready for tomorrow. Sorry about being late. 20 pt buy correct? I need some help on how to make my class and race come up on the posts..Any thoughts on a schedule of sorts? The only reason I ask is so that I am not coming in as the game is ending (knowing my luck)..
Rickmeister
Sorry, was sleeping xP
I don't know where the other people are from, but I'm from Europe, GMT+1, so I might post ou of sync. Don't worry though, i'm checking the thread daily :)
Bulding character now. Might go with something acrobatic/skill monkey, going to flip through the player's guide :)
Rickmeister
Aaaargh, there be money:
4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 6, 5) = 21 x10 = 210 gp.
Thanks dice! :)

Satinder Morne is ready and awaiting your approval.
The picture is of the human cleric out of the 4th kingmaker booklet (with the same name), but I figured it matched my idea pretty nicely.
If there are things you would like to change, let me know!
One GM question: is it okay to purchase a dog, called Wicked?
Some special things that will catch everyone's attention:
- She has a pegleg
- I took profession (cook), since enough of you had profession (sailor)
- She wears a cat'o'nine'tails, all the time!
- She loves things that make a fluting noise. Hence, she is whistling a lot.
- She sometimes sings songs in strange tongues.
- She can give you the stinky eye like you wouldn't believe.
- The tattoo she has on her lower back which represents a wasp reminds you of the tales of Calistria..
- If you ever see her in the water, you could swear she moves like a dolphin.
Oh, will we know eachother? Or will the adventure bring us together as "perfect strangers"?
Maeleg Valdemar
That's my intended role, but there is no clear-cut skill for it. Knowledge (nature/geography) and Profession (sailor) both would work
I could pilot the ship and take Profession (sailor) and you could be the navigator and take Knowledge (nature and/or geography), what do you think ?
She wears a cat'o'nine'tails, all the time !
Kinky. (sorry, couldn't resist :o )

Kinky. (sorry, couldn't resist :o )
Be sure to let me know when you say something like that *in character*! ;)

Dinkster the Dinkmeister, is that your "real" name?
Oh, and what is a "Wemic"? never seen it. Is it some kind of Werewolf?

@Bossman; I have a house-rule request. Mostly for Myrkr. Would you be willing to allow some king of substitution for the requirements for "Improved Grapple" for Myrkr? It generally requires Improved Unarmed Strike, which is a bit silly for something with natural attacks.
Looking good with Satinder, Gideon and Maeleg.
Satinder Morne
I need to finish my story, but I want to keep that up my sleeve till I know how long us lot have known eachother, etc.
Won't mind some bonding beforehand, love a strong group that way :)
Skaldi the Tallest
I'll leave that one up to the DM.
Skaldi has been working his way south for the better part of the last year. He feels a pull towards the Shackles and that's landed him in Port Peril. He spent the better part of last night telling a tale about a Tiefling Pirate cursed with a mutable face. He's gotten used to folks buying him drinks and didn't think much of the spiced rum and ginger beer concoction that was handed to him by a young woman shortly before he passed out.

I was wondering why you had taken improved unarmed strike. There is the grab evolution, but I guess that doesn't make for the most efficient grappling with the penalty and all. So yeah, we could figure out some alternate requirements for Improved Grapple.
Just have your eidolon take a different starting feat and I'll allow improved grapple as its second, how does that sound?
Skaldi the Tallest
Sounds decent to me. I'll wind up taking either WF: Bite or Improved Natural Attack. Should smooth things out there.
Myrkr's second feat is likely to be Final Embrace, with Improved Grapple coming in third.
This is likely a while from now, though. Unless we can really keep the pace of the game up.

What do you guys say?
I could use me a buff friend, from way back.. :D

Gideon, Dinkster, or Old Iron Sides, care to link up?
