Hey, probably should have said this a few days ago, but life... has been life-y in oh so many small annoying ways. But yeah. Feel free to post what you're going to do on the morning of day 1 up to whenever you have to go out and go somewhere, at which point I'll post something for you. And Archibald I need to give you a PM but I'll write that in the morning.
Yo. New meat, here. Having glanced over current events, what day should I post in? Doesn't really make a difference to me; no reply, I'll just go with 1.
Skype tells me Cipher's online, and has been, intermittently, for days, but I've as of yet gotten no response since Wednesday, at 3 AM. It's rather concerning. Functionally, since I'm trying to discuss details of my entry with him, I, um, can't comfortably enter yet.
Ok everyone pleas tell me the stuff you have been PMing to Cipher since it appears I will be DMing most of the campaign I am still waiting for Cipher to tell me some info IRL and Don't have enough info to post for most of the people yet. Sorry for the delay and confusion. we will try to get the game rolling again
Sorry still haven't been able to send you the info. Currently the only record of my sheet is on gitp, and its down currently. The computer with the info went down....
So my computer commited suicide and I've only just managed to get the effing thing into some semblance of order. I should have it stable by tonight, then I'll gather up everything Acecipher sent me. Wonder what happened to him.
Hello folks my bad, sort of dropped of the face of the earth due to tech issues and tests. Back now.
Akaianeko: I'm sure you'll get your chance soon enough. When a game's been on hiatus this long, especially when it's coming back up after changes on the GM side of things, tend to take a bit to get the ball rolling again.
...especially when some players take longer than they should sending the gm requested info *stares guiltily at the floor*
his words:
"will have to ask the players if they want me to dm the story without andy and have to have a slightly different story or wait for andy and I got sick so I haven't had time to do that"
I fear that if the present hiatus extends for too much longer, I will lose my vision of who Etrius is. Therefore, I'd like to vote for Servant Watcher to DM, if this is indeed a vote among the players.
I've sent my info. Though it makes me kinda sad, if it keeps this thing from dying then I vote for Watcher to GM for now. I mean, it's not like Cipher can't come back in later, and Watcher doesn't have to cut him out completely.
since no one has responded with "continue waiting" I will start DMing the game. I will be more free form than Ace and will focuse more on the war then the side plots, though I will do my best to make sure they still exist.
servant control guide
(its a big one)
you are allowed to controller your own servants' actions in battle to a limited degree. you can have your servant: attack, defend, counter attack, intercept, and retreat (feel free to propose more simple actions)
you may give your preference as to using magic, projectiles, or melee combat, but I will ultimately decide which they use. like wise you may request your servant use ether Noble Phantasms or special attacks, but you cannot pick which ones. Please accompany any orders with arbitrary D20 roles for ATK VS and USE to save time.
When two servants clash against each other (attack or otherwise cross blades with each other) or are likely to, please chose one of the following priority commands
[strike/pierce/crush/zoning/engagement/feign/rush/invitation/]
you can ether PM me them or for simplicity sake hide them under a spoiler labeled "statistics"
and pleas don't read anyone else's spoilers that say "statistics"
As a security measure I will not tell you what the priority commands mean other than they are involved in the direction of battle
If this seems to complicated you can skip it leaving the servants completely up to me.
any time I ask you for a servant role just role a D20 and I'll calculate the rest.
I will not be giving everyone their servant's full stats since it will take me to long and you don't need to worry I'll do all the calculating, but if you want a partial stat sheet to get an idea of what they are good at, I can give you one if you PM me your character name(include in the PM) your servant class and their name if you don't know their name type a guess like this: ?guess?
Considering my present state, I feel that an engagement is likely to occur at some point. Therefore, I'll go ahead and set my priority command.
Statistics
Spoiler:
I'm guessing that the commands refer to the Servant's strategy, in the following manner:
Strike: General offensive
Pierce: Focused offensive seeking a quick kill
Crush: Focused offensive seeking to overwhelm
Zoning: Keep your distance and poke
Engagement: Test out the enemy, seeking to find their weaknesses
Feign: Don't commit to battle
Rush: Go all out
Invitation: Let the other Servant attack, and react appropriately
Assuming that the above are even vaguely correct, I will set my command as follows:
VOTE: "Wake up this morning, acting like I did the summoning last night", "Just do the summoning last night", or "Arrive and do the summoning this morning"?
The only people who's contact info I have are .Damian and Ryder45, so can everyone please contact any of the players that you have a way to contact besides here and tell them game's back on?
I'd rather you just checked up on him. Again, I'm trying not to be impatient, but his last post was on Monday. I'm beginning to suspect that I'm cursed to join campaigns that come to crashing halts before really getting started, and would very much like to be proved wrong after teh weeks I spent learning enough about this system from Cipher to create a character.
And to be frank, my rolls were crappy enough that I probably just got poisoned, and I'd like to know about that.
