Vegeir "Gear" Carlsen |

Gear rushes the succubi, his feet rising off the ground as he strides closer and closer, glowing greatsword lighting the chamber in pure, wholesome golden light akin to sunlight as he rushes toward the demon.
Fly to melee range, attack using Heedless Charge.
Power Attack, Heedless Charge: 1d20 + 20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 20 + 2 = 39
Mirror Image check: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Holy dmg, if hits: 2d6 + 9 + 10 + 2d6 ⇒ (4, 5) + 9 + 10 + (4, 5) = 37
Heedless Charge reduces AC to 15 (17 vs evil opponents) for this round.

Moonday, 17th day of Planting (i.e. April), 597 C.Y.
Weather is cloudy, very rainy and kinda cold.
Current time is about 3:00 p.m.
-------------------------------------------------
Morrow grabs a healing potion and quaffs it, scolding Kalystys in a mocking tone. Gear uses his magic to ascend toward the dark-skinned cambion and swings his greatsword at her - but the blade passes harmlessly through one of the images, causing it to wink out. Now there are only three false images to deal with, at least... Cora begins to cast a summing spell, which will take her a span of several seconds to complete, as Sobok gives his draconic aura a subtle shift and sends an arrow flying toward Kalystys - though it fails to find the mark. Reonnyn keeps up the charade (for reasons known only to the halfing warlock) and cries out in a shrill, falsetto voice as he tries to blast her with an eldritch bolt - though that too only nails an image, bringing the total down to 2 false and one true. Fash's magic ignores the illusion, but unfortunately fails to take hold and then Kalystys acts, concentrating for a moment then gesturing at Gear as she speaks a word of magic - but then curses as her spell fails to take hold.
Gear's Mirror Image Confusion (1 = Hits caster): 1d5 ⇒ 2 = Hit Mirror Image!
Reonnyn's Mirror Image Confusion (1 = Hits caster): 1d4 ⇒ 4 = Hit Mirror Image!
Kalystys' Concentration check: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21 vs DC 18 = Success!
Kalystys' Caster Level check: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18 vs DC 21 = Failure!
Morrow, you're due some damn luck soon! Everyone can take your actions for Round 2!

Vegeir "Gear" Carlsen |

Gear swings Paragon through the air in a well-practiced attack pattern.
Full round attack.

Sobok. |

Sobok drops his bow and walks into the air. When he is even with the foul demoness, he strides forward drawing his Glaive as he goes.
I am 15 feet up. I threaten her with a reach weapon, so if she tries to flee I will hopefully smack her. See the AoO below in case she provokes. I also rage just to boost my saves a bit.
+1 Glaive Damage+Rage: 1d10 + 10 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 10 + 3 = 14

Fash Daergal |

Fash whispers to Reonnyn, suggesting: [b][smaller]"Disrupt her spellcasting if you can."[b]
Then he takes another run at shattering Kalystys's mind with his magic, and slips off into the shadows...
standard: Casts Feeblemind on Rhaiani. Will save DC 22 = 10+5 spell level +6 int+1 cloaked casting, and further -4 penalty if she uses arcane spells (SLA's count)...
Cloaked casting should apply, as she can't see me and thus is FF vs my attacks. (And if she has a special sense like mindsight, I have the Darkstalker feat, so she would still need to beat my stealth check ...)
move - move 15' and use stealth (can hide because of cloak of shadows give concealment).
SR Check: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 11 + 2 = 15
+11 CL +2 cloaked casting
stealth, to hide again: 1d20 + 9 + 2 + 4 + 4 + 5 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 9 + 2 + 4 + 4 + 5 + 5 = 47
9 rank +2 dex+4 racial +4 small+5 Cloak of Elvenkind +5 boots of elvenkind

Reonnyn |

Reonnyn nods silently to Fash's suggestion. "I have just the thing..." he whispers back as he draws forth a wand...
Ready action to activate Wand of Dispel Magic should Rhaiani/Kalystys cast a spell (UMD take 10 = 21 vs. DC 18, success).
Caster Level Check: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 5 + 1 = 17

Morrow, Tue |

With the demon out of reach Morrow decides to just get rid of another of the images. He sends three scorching rays at the images....
Are there three left? Can I target one each or is it just random roll? I doubt 4d6 of fire will hurt her....
Ranged touch attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32
fire damage?: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 2, 1) = 12
Ranged touch attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20
fire damage?: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 5, 5) = 21
Ranged touch attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14
fire damage?: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 5, 6) = 17
Forgot the caster level check.... 1d20 + 11 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 11 + 1 = 31

Moonday, 17th day of Planting (i.e. April), 597 C.Y.
Weather is cloudy, very rainy and kinda cold.
Current time is about 3:00 p.m.
-------------------------------------------------
Morrow hurls scorching rays at the cambion, not confident that they'd harm her much, but mostly to rid her of the confusing mirror images. His spell easily overcomes her magical resistance, and the third bolt strikes true, causing her at least some injury (17 -10DR = 7 fire damage) despite her partial immunity to fire. Gear continues to swing his greatsword, and though he fails to strike true, he does manage to cause the mirror images to disappear one by one until only Kalystys remains. Cora summons a monstrous spider that appears on the rock wall behind the drow/succubus. The arachnid immediately slings a web at the flying demoness, but she dodges aside and the blob of sticky stuff misses. Sobok drops the bow and retrieves his glaive, stepping into thin air and closing the distance with the foul creature as Reonnyn readies his wand to try and counter any spell that she might attempt. Fash tries his magic again, but the gnome cannot seem to penetrate her resistance. Eyes blazing with hate, Kalystys again tries to do... something... to Gear, and Reonnyn is unable to counter it! It's like no kind of spellcasting he's ever experienced. With a shrill scream of frustration and rage, she zips past the cleric and the dragon shaman, heading toward the other side of the cavern. Sobok lunges with his polearm and cuts a light wound (14 -5DR = 9 damage) into her left thigh, though she doesn't react strongly to the injury. Morrow feels his stomach settle down a bit... (no longer 'Sickened')

Kalystys' Caster Level check: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13 vs DC 21 = Failure!
Gear, go ahead and take an AoO! Morrow, that first roll of '20' should have been the CL check, so you passed it easily! First attack roll was the modified '20', then '14' and finally '31', which struck true. Cora hasn't responded, but I'm going with the player's ideas from the Discussion tab - that is, using a giant spider to web Kalystys. As you can see, that is going to be difficult though... Feel free to shout out other ideas to her to help me NPC her actions. Reonnyn, you have learned that whatever Kalystis is trying to do is a 'spell-like ability', which cannot be countered. Fortunately for you all (especially Gear), she's had some pretty cruddy rolls...

Fash Daergal |

Fed up with Kalystys ability to shed his spells, Fash tries helping his friends instead...
standard: Casts haste, targetting Vegeir, Sobok, Morrow, and the spider.
move - move 15' and use stealth (can hide because of cloak of shadows give concealment).
stealth, to hide again: 1d20 + 9 + 2 + 4 + 4 + 5 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 9 + 2 + 4 + 4 + 5 + 5 = 34
9 rank +2 dex+4 racial +4 small+5 Cloak of Elvenkind +5 boots of elvenkind

Morrow, Tue |

A 20 missed the image? An image’s AC is 10 + your size modifier + your Dex modifier. Not sure if it matters, but thought I'd mention it.
Seeing the demon continue flying out of reach Morrow moves over by her and fires more fiery rays at her.
Caster level check....: 1d20 + 11 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 11 + 1 = 19
Ranged touch attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30
fire damage?: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 3, 1) = 10
Ranged touch attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32
fire damage?: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 4, 1) = 12
Ranged touch attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32
fire damage?: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 1, 6) = 14

Vegeir "Gear" Carlsen |

Gear spins around and rushes after the demoness, charging across the open air as easily as a smooth grass practice ground.
Power Attack, Heedless Charge: 1d20 + 20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 20 + 2 + 1 = 26
Holy dmg, if hits: 2d6 + 9 + 10 + 2d6 ⇒ (4, 1) + 9 + 10 + (4, 3) = 31
Edit, missed the Haste spell.
Haste Power Attack, Heedless Charge: 1d20 + 20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 20 + 2 + 1 = 31
Holy dmg, if hits: 2d6 + 9 + 10 + 2d6 ⇒ (2, 1) + 9 + 10 + (4, 4) = 30
Heedless Charge reduces AC to 16 (18 vs evil opponents) for this round.

Sobok. |

Sobok walks on he air as he moves up and taps into his inner rage with a massive roar and swings at the foul demoness, "YARRRRRRHHHH!"
Move up to 30 ft so I am even with her, continue raging round 2/12, and attack. I will put in an AoO in a spoiler in case it is needed.
+1 Glaive Attack+Rage-PA: 1d20 + 15 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 15 + 2 - 2 = 31
+1 Glaive Damage+Rage+PA: 1d10 + 10 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 10 + 3 + 4 = 25
+1 Glaive Attack+Rage-PA: 1d20 + 15 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 15 + 2 - 2 = 16
+1 Glaive Damage+Rage+PA: 1d10 + 10 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 10 + 3 + 4 = 20
Whiifff!
So It has come to my attention that I messed up my math on the AoO attack from last turn. I thought my Glaive bonus and Falchion bonuses were identical, but I have WF with the Falchion and not the Glaive so my attack last turn was 1 higher then it should have been. I am not sure if this changes the results, but I wanted to correct it if necessary. I will try and be a bit better about using the correct bonus moving forward.

Reonnyn |

"Last chance here to surrender! Promise it won't end well if you keep fighting!" Reonnyn calls out as he sends another blast at her!
Eldritch Blast, RT: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (19) + 14 = 33; damage: 4d6 + 2 ⇒ (1, 6, 2, 6) + 2 = 17
CL Check: 1d20 + 11 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 11 + 1 = 18

GM West |

Moonday, 17th day of Planting (i.e. April), 597 C.Y.
Weather is cloudy, very rainy and kinda cold.
Current time is about 3:00 p.m.
-------------------------------------------------
Vegeir gets in a solid hit with his blade (19 -5 [14] damage) when Kalystys speeds past her, but Morrow's spell fizzles out when it strikes her. The cleric pursues the demonic drow and again his sword strikes true (31 -5 [26] damage) opening a nasty wound along her side. Cora cocks her head as though hearing something in her mind, then curses softly before speaking to those nearby. "Something unexpected has arisen, I will rejoin you if I can." Then she leaves the room and casts a Teleport spell for an unknown destination... The summoned spider remains, and hurls another web at Kalystys, but that again misses wide. Sobok charges into the fray and his glaive also draws blood (25 -5 [20] damage), and though Reonnyn's eldritch blast fails to overcome her spell resistance, Fash casts a spell to hasten his companions and the badly bloodied and battered Kalystys appears to take the offer of surrender seriously as she raises her hands. "Enough! I yield, and if you grant me my life I can give you information. If you are seeking information on those that have recently come to dwell in this place. For some of them have visited me in the last few weeks. Though they have refused me my freedom, they have given me gifts in exchange for my... unique services, you might say. And I have used my charms against some of them to learn much..."
Large Monstrous Spider's Web Attack (firing into a melee): 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 5 - 4 = 3 = Miss!
Morrow, the one that missed last round was your roll of '14' - remember I made that first roll your CL check, and then the ones that followed (in order) were the attack rolls. Vegeir, that Haste spell hadn't yet been cast, though it is in effect for this coming round, if you choose to continue combat. But she's down to only a handful of hit point, so we'll end combat here in any case, whether you accept her surrender or simply kill her. It's been a month and half since Cora last posted, and a PM went with no response. A summoner wizard is, quite frankly, a pain in the ass for me to even try to NPC, so I'm writing her out with the possibility of bringing her back if the player returns. The Teleport spell can be handy for a quick write-out!

Morrow, Tue |

Morrow looks at the demoness. Could she be trusted? Probably not. But she has been wounded. He shrugs, holding his sword up without any illusion. "You are right. That information would be useful. Land and we will stop our attacks to talk. If you do not attack we will talk and leave you again if that is your choice. If you try to charm any of us, that will be considered an attack and we will destroy you."

Reonnyn |

Reonnyn spares Cora an irritated glance behind as she teleports away. What is it with the dweomer-wielders? They are all as flighty as a roc in heat!
"I am impressed! Not only a beauty but also has brains to match!" The levity of Reonnyn's words are not matched in his eyes however. "I suggest you do as the good man says and start talking."

Fash Daergal |

Fash's internal monologue is incredulous; "It's a f@*$ing succubus priestess of Fraz-Urb'luu (demon prince of deception), and these muppets think that talking with her won't end up with us boned up the ass?!? Kill the b$*&&, her most dangerous weapon is her tongue!"
He tries not to let this show, as he demands "Lower your spell resistance and let my next spell take you; it will not harm you..."
Fash casts Charm Monster on her.
Seriously, are we letting her live? Since when do you do that with demons? We're going to be looking over our shoulders for the rest of our lives... Also, who has a nice high sense motive? We're gonna need it.

Vegeir "Gear" Carlsen |

Gear's gonna kill her as soon as whoever's asking questions is done. He didn't agree to let her live.
Gear lowers Paragon but doesn't move away from the demon as she responds to the others.

Morrow, Tue |

Morrow hopes that she can't read minds....

Sobok. |

Sobok is raging. I am not sure why he would stop attacking her.
But to play nicely in a group I will pause, but why are we even talking to her?

Morrow, Tue |

So when she lands we can beat the crap out of her.... I mean, because she offered information on others that encountered her recently. That might be useful information if there's even a shred of truth to it. Then we can beat....

Fash Daergal |

Well, hopefully, she lets me drop a charm on her; that will make me, for one, trust what she says quite a bit more...I still strongly suspect she'll try to trick us somehow.

Reonnyn |

Yeah I think it is very likely she is trying to fool us here (remember she does have ESP) so she probably is trying to sell us a beachfront home in Stygia here...BUT I don't think we can take the chance she MAY know something of use here...and we need every edge we can get here.

Battered and bleeding from her wounds, she nods at Morrow's command and eyes Fash distrustfully. "You have beaten me, this I cannot deny - and if you decide to kill me I can hardly resist. You could, of course, take the magic items from my corpse - but as they will do me no good in death anyway they are yours for the taking. I ask only that you spare my life in exchange for the information I possess in my head, which you cannot retrieve except by force or guile, and that I will not allow, dwarf. I would rather be dead." She spits the last at Fash, apparently still seeing him as the gnome had intended with his illusion.
As she speaks, she slowly descends to the floor of the cavern and begins to remove several accoutrements, including an amulet, bracers, a pair of rings, and her black cloak. "As I said... I have my way of obtaining gifts, and news from those that dwell here. A few items I think you'll find quite interesting if you're looking to put a stop to those that are using these ruins as a sort of... secret passage, I supose you might call it, for their invading army. I know where it is, who is in charge, and where you can find him. This is the information I offer, in return for my life. And..." Her sly eyes flicker from one face to another until she has looked at everyone thougtfully. "I believe you are the same adventurers that fought me a few days back, but you have disguised yourselves - probably with magic. I have magic of my own, the ability to detect your thoughts. I will use that to make certain that each of you intend to keep your word. As a gesture of good faith, I will tell you what each of these magic items does, saving you a bit of time and trouble."
So no go on a voluntary drop of her Will save, but she does indeed seem to be putting herself at your mercy - at least to some extent. The magic items are Bracers of Armor +3, Amulet of health +4, Ring of Protection +2, Ring of Force Shield and Cloak of Resistance +2.

Sobok. |

Has anyone mentioned if they could banish her back to the plane she came from?

Reonnyn |

Reonnyn stares intently at the beautiful succubus before addressing her in a...skeptical voice. "Forgive me for being...rude here but how do we know you won't tell us what we WANT to hear? By your own admission you know what we are seeking so how do we know your words are not some fanciful tale, designed to lead us to our doom?"
Sobok: I believe Cora could handle the banishment...if she was still here. As for the magical items available Reonnyn would be most interested in the Amulet of Health +4 (He does currently have a +2 Amulet of Health btw.

GM West |

Kalystys regards the halfling coolly. "There will, of course, be proof of my words once you investigate. If I'm lying, then I've no doubt you will simply return to finish what you've started. My information could well lead to your doom regardless of whether it leads you into a trap or simply the truth. The powers arrayed against you are powerful and vast. Though the fact you have gotten this far is no mean feat, I admit. Neither is the fact that you have bested me in combat. Although..." Her voice becomes soft and sultry, rather than arrogant and barbed. "...I must confess, I am more a lover than a fighter... would you like a taste?"
Though the succubus casts no spell, still her eyes are wide and both innocent and full of lustful promise, her dark lips - parted slightly - look warm and inviting...
She can't be banished, no more than she can physically leave this room by simply walking out of it. Or at least, that is what the wizards have told you about the imprisonment spell.

Morrow, Tue |

Morrow sheaths his sword, a look of disgust on his face. "Don't waste your time reading my mind. I'd much rather destroy you than leave you here. But I'm no lying demon or trickster devil. I am surprised though. Wouldn't you be freed by killing you which would just send you back to the abyss? Or do you really want to stay trapped in this tiny cave for a totally unknowable term? What if someone were to permanently seal the entrance to this area?"

GM West |

Kalystis glares at the duskblade. "I have patience to wait for as long as needed. Eventually I will encounter a group of fools. Death will free me, of course - but my heritage is mixed, as you can see. I am subject to the same afterlife as any mortal, despite being half-demon. It might grant me some sort of advantage in the Abyss, but I cannot be certain. I am in no rush to find out, in any case."
Now that the succubus/drow has resigned herself to her fate, she certainly seems to be more talkative.

Fash Daergal |

A couple of things I can use there, Amulet of Health +4, ring of protection +2 - but I suspect that there are others who want them too.
Fash does not push the question of charming the succubus (immediately); instead while she hands over her magic items, and the others question the succubus, he searches her lair. In particular, he hopes to find the scroll of Telekinesis that he dropped in here the other day, but he also suspects there might be considerably more of interest here than just what she has handed over... (he will use a detect magic cantrip in case).
Search: 1d20 + 14 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 14 + 6 = 21
14 Ranks +6 int

GM West |

Kalystis watches Fash suspiciously as the gnome casts his spell, but takes no action. Other than the magic offered by the succubus/drow, he finds no other unexpected sources (except for those he might have left behind, of course...)
Fash, if you dropped a magical scroll or something, you find it. I probably didn't notice it (much less remember) when you posted that. In any case, it doesn't like she's holding out.

Morrow, Tue |

Morrow has a Ring of Protection +1 but no cloak. His saves are.... crap?

Vegeir "Gear" Carlsen |

Gear continues to stand to one side of the demon, Paragon's tip grounded and the golden glowing blade simply awaiting the end of the rest of the group's questioning. The big man looks like he could wait til the end of the world and still be ready to end the succubus's existence on this plane.
Gear isn't making a big deal of it but he's also making no secret of his intent to execute her once the group is done talking.

Sobok. |

I think three of us are refusing to leave her alive here, so I am just going to finish it because she will be able to figure out that we are not going to agree. I will give one more chance in case someone really wants to stop me as I won't fight the party.
Sobok shakes his head and prepares to strike down the demoness.
I will ready an attack if she tries to run away from me. I give a round for someone to stop me and then I will just attack her.
I think I am still raging which adds +2 to hit and +3 damage. If not I have -1 to hit and -2 damage for being Fatigued.
Glaive Attack: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (16) + 15 = 31
Glaive Damage: 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16

Reonnyn |

Reonnyn finds himself taking a involuntary step towards the succubus, his body reacting to her sultry promises.
"NO! No need to send her to her just rewards...yet. Let her reflect upon her failures here and if it turns out she had indeed misled us then we return to finish what we started!"

Fash Daergal |

Fash looks from the Succubus to Gear and Sobok and then back. He states the obvious "If you want to buy your life with the information you possess, you should start spilling it quickly, because people are getting impatient... Where is the invasion route? Who is running the show? What do you know about him? Where is he to be found?"

GM West |

Moonday, 17th day of Planting (i.e. April), 597 C.Y.
Weather is cloudy, very rainy and kinda cold.
Current time is about 3:00 p.m.
-------------------------------------------------
As Sobok raises his heavy weapon to end her life, Kalystys's eyes widen and she growls in frustration before barking out. "Fine! I will tell you what you want to know! The invasion route winds through miles of caves and tunnels in the Underdark from these ruins all the way to the lands of the demon cambion Iuz. The one that told me this as he... took his pleasures with me was in charge of the scouting party that mapped the route. But it runs through a tunnel weakened by an earthquake long ago, some cavern with an old, ruined temple of a dark god. Nerull, I think. It's guarded by a priestess he called 'the red-headed b*!$%' and a small group of demons that guard it so none might try to collapse it. The leader of this little expedition is named Vayne, and though he's not particularly liked by his soldiers he is greatly feared. One of his captains - a very large fellow with incredible stamina, I might add - told me that this Vayne has boasted that he dwells now in a place called 'The Halls of Beckoning', where Zagig himself once had his own private quarters. Apparently it's only accessible through teleportation, either by spell or some kind of black disk with runes carved along the edge. The captain... no... he called himself a marshal, I think... anyway, he said that he had been charged with guarding the disk, but that the 'red-headed skank' was given the key to use it."
She pauses a moment, then continues. "Vayne is a wizard, I know that for certain, and always in the company of a hobgoblin priest of Iuz and a retinue of powerful skeletons whenever he ventures out from his private chambers - which isn't often. The marshal doesn't like him at all, calls him a 'puny bastard that he could snap like a dry twig with his bare hands', but for all that I could see in his eyes he was afraid of the man. And there's one more bit of knowledge I have too, something that Vayne boasted about to the marshall on his last visit to the forge a few weeks back. It seems that Vayne had captured some sort of faerie creature that had been poking around the tower, looking for someone or something, he said. But her sold her off in exchange for some kind of magic, or maybe a bit of knowledge - the marshal wasn't clear on that. But he DID tell me who he sold her to, and where she can be found. So that last little bit is the price I offer for my life. Spare me, and I'll tell you who Vayne sold off the faerie to. My life, for that of an innocent creature that is likely being tortured even now in a most hellish fashion. What do you say?"
Sobok, your rage has cooled off by now for sure. Those who encountered the marshal in the forge (F18) recognize the description of the black disk beyond the secret door in his private chambers (F19). And you're all quite familiar with the red-haired priestess and her merry band of demon archers. How do you all react to this offer and to the knowledge given you?

Morrow, Tue |

Morrow stands, looking at his companions. He motions them all back. "If the information about the imprisoned faerie is correct, I'd say we leave her here. Maybe seal the entrance with a wall of stone? If it is a lie, we return here and destroy her. ??"

Reonnyn |

"I agree with Morrow here," Reonnyn nods quickly in agreement. "No need to waste such powerful magic to seal her in further. She is quite unable to escape as it is!"

Sobok. |

Sobok shakes his head but lowers his weapon. He walks back to the ground and picks up his bow as he waits for the others to be ready to go.

Fash Daergal |

"One of the fey-folk at risk... Yes, I will take your deal, demoness.
If it turns out you've played us false, or perhaps left out some important details, if we survive it, we will come back here and destroy you..."

GM West |

Kalystis nods, then speaks once more. "I would have the word of each one of you that you will leave me here, to continue to endure my imprisonment alive and well. If any of your minds indicate betrayal or if you shunt me away from your thoughts, then I will take that last bit of information into death - and whatever awaits me there."
Just to move things along, feel free to speak aloud whatever you want, but as you guessed the demon/succubus has Detect Thoughts as an At-Will ability. Let me know if you want to make a Will save to try and cloud any plans to betray the deal and kill her on the spot after she reveals the information about the fey prisoner - but it seems that she won't be willing to divulge the information if anyone does that. However, if you'd like to try and Bluff your way through it, I'll allow you to make a Bluff roll to try and make her think you're going to play nice. Of course, whether it works or not depends on your roll and her ability to discern the lie in your surface thoughts. Once everyone has posted, we'll continue on. If I don't hear from a player by the end of the weekend (Sunday), we'll continue on and I'll presume that everyone is going to keep their word to leave her alive in this chamber.

Morrow, Tue |

Morrow looks at the demon and replies, again. "I'd prefer you dead just as much as you'd prefer all of us dead. But I won't lie. If your information is valid I won't return. If you lie, you will die."

Reonnyn |

Reonnyn responds to the demoness in a slightly strained voice here, "As long as your words are truthful then you have little to fear from...us."

Fash Daergal |

"My dear hypocrite - you would rather die than let me into your head. In this situation, your choices are very limited; I'd rather kill you than let you into my head... So spill or die."
And let's hope my will save can back that up.
Will: 1d20 + 6 + 2 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 6 + 2 + 2 + 3 = 16
+6 Beg +2 Rua +2 SM +3 Resist

Fash Daergal |

"B&%@$!"
Fash curses, but lowers his resistance a crack...
"I can't kill you without everyone else helping, and they won't do it if they give their words and you do your bit..."
