Strang and Terion try to face a wave of magical fear.
Terion Stoutheart
Will Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Terion stands up with a grumble, the fear still wavering in his eyes from the magical assault - "What the heck?! I'm starting to get tired of this - what if we tied a rope around it and pull it down? Would that work?"
He still tries however to get back in place, after calming down. (Not sure how long the fear lasts?)
Acrobatics: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (10) - 1 = 9
Failing miserably - "This is no use. I managed to get back up there by sheer luck last time. Not sure if I can do it again"
GM Tribute, I am guessing I cannot take 20 on this one? :D
Arvhil
"There must be an easier way! How else would these dumb brutes be able to access the chest? You there, creature, how do you get into that chest?"Arvhil questions the prisoners.
Would know-Arcane or spellcraft give me anymore insight into this contraption?

The magic trap goes off and Terion and Strang are afraid and fall from the ceiling in their haste to escape Each taking 8 lethal falling. Strang gets into place easily, nimbly scurrying up the pegs and doing his flip. He waits to aid Terion, but Terion launches himself at the sphere of magic and misses plummeting to strike the floor.
Terion lands somewhat gracefully. 5 more falling damage
With Terion not there to help him, Strang tries again. He masterfully uses his tools to disarm the trap and open the chest!!!!!
He then easily drops down with his find!!!
GM Tribute
The dangerous trap, the most dangerous Strang has seen, is removed and the chest is popped open revealing:
1000sp, 60gp, and a valuable key made of jade
Key is worth 3000gp
Making it to the floor, having figured out the trick, is not problem. The key is an obvious fit to the door.
Checking out the door, it is opened with the key. In the narrow passageway outside, Strang discovers a moldy silken bag with a crystal key.
This key is worth 100gp
Carefully following the narrow passageway about 200', you arrive at what looks to be blacksmith forge. In the center is a circular forge about 3 feet high connected to a bellows. Stacked about the room are wooden shafts, crude iron bars, short swords, 3 tubs of liquid, a table of tools, a large stack of cordwood, a mound of charcoal, and a large chest. Chained to the bellows are two men looking exhausted and listless. The ceiling is open to the sky a some short of shaft and shrouded in vines forming a network overhead.

Strang enters and looks around and misses an ambush from above!! He frees the prisoners and they seem to be under the influence of a strong drug and no help. A vine climbs to the passage above about thirty feet up. As he climbs up the vines.....
Many small creatures that look like gripplis appear and throw javelins at Strang as he climbs.

You can place yourself in the room. The tasloi also won initiative, so they go first.
To help visualize, the green squares are ground level up to 30 feet==the tasloi are twenty feet up, so without climbing or reach, you can't be adjacent to them.
Fornitado
I'm really having a hard time visualizing this situation.
Seeing one of the party fall, Fornitado steps forward drawing his longbow, and channels positive energy to try and revive Strang. He will also try to find some partial cover from the javelins.

One question Tribute - how exactly can Terion get rid of the entangled condition? While I wait for your feedback to decide my ful action, I can tell you right away that Terion will back up over Arvhil's position - to E:11 ;)
"I want to see you boys TRY that!" - he roars and spits at the creatures, even though he is not fully sure of their intents.
Another question, where is the girl? :D
GM Tribute
The girl is waiting in the passage behind you. I'll add her to the map.
Here is how nets are handled, I had this in the net entangles spoiler: An entangled creature can escape with a DC 20 Escape Artist check (a full-round action). The net has 5 hit points and can be burst with a DC 25 Strength check (also a full-round action). A net is useful only against creatures within one size category of you.
Terion Stoutheart
Thanks for the clarification Tribute. In that case, I guess we can forget about it for now. Terion would never be able to succeed at any of those DCs :D
Terion will just 5' step to E:11, and ready an action to attack the first one that comes close. Will use Combat Expertise again this time. Also hoping if they try to CDG anyone I get an AoO?
"Come on then!" - the huge man continues on threatening - "Let's see how many of you DOGS I will take with me!"
