Erich Kaine
Round 7:
Erich's nose wrinkles as the hobgoblins roll the cannon in front of him. He gags. "Ugh! This stupid cannon smells worse than the sewers in Bard'S Gate! How long have they had it just sitting there with fish in it?"
He braces his back against the wall behind him. "Let's get this awful thing out of the way, huh? Watch out, Kara!" Using the wall for leverage, Erich kicks out with both feet, slamming into the side of the cannon.
I'm not sure what kind of action it would be for Erich to kick that cannon out of the way. Ideally, he would kick it five feet to the side, leaving room for the others to get through. An action like that sounds kind of like a Bull Rush, maybe, but as the cannon is an inanimate object, I'm not sure how to proceed. Or it could be a strength check. I'm going to give you a couple of different rolls, but let me know if you need something else (or if the action is unfeasible). CMB Check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10 Strength Check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Round Seven
Kára holds her ground and recites a quick prayer. She waits for the enemy to file into the room.
Cast Pro. Evil on self.
Lueck
Round 7
Seeing the hobgoblins advancing, Lueck let's himself fall back some, continuing his arrow barrage back at the goblinkind.
Lueck fires two arrows in rapid succession.
Targeting the closest archer, firing past the advancing swordsmen. If the first arrow downs the first archer, the second arrow will go on to another back there.
To hit 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Damage 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
To hit 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Damage 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Edit: Possible crit, roll to confirm and extra potential damage.

Since I would've delayed until after the hobbos moved, which would've moved my initiative to Round 7 anyway, let's say that her Round 6 was just a full defense.
Round 7
Seeing the hobgoblins begin to swarm the narrow passageway, Lyr grins with the eventual success of their plan. The stupid creatures finally fell for it...!
She follows Lueck's lead in sending an arrow of her own down into the horde of hobbos.
Longbow (PBS, Inspire): 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 5 + 1 + 1 = 20
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 + 1 = 5
DM Grimmy
Erich kicks the cannon out of the way and Lyr and Lueck each bring down a hobgoblin.
Kara notices for the first time a lingering evil presence permeating the environment as she casts a spell of holy protection. It is as if the very air attempted to stifle her prayer, but the source of the evil influence is too weak or too far away to interfere.
So I guess you can make that shot from there, huh Lyr? Looks wierd to me but I guess that's how it works.

Round 7
Cai makes a face at Lyr taking out one of the hobgoblins. Well, he can't let her show him up...!
He sights along his bow and takes a shot at the first one he can see.
Bowshot: 1d20 + 4 - 4 - 4 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 4 - 4 - 4 + 1 = 17
Confirm the crit: 1d20 - 4 - 4 + 1 ⇒ (1) - 4 - 4 + 1 = -6 Lol.
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
It's a clean shot, at least; Cairenn smirks.
"An arrow did sprout from the head a of a hob
"Who thought that a rotting fish corpse he'd lob
"And flowers will likewise grow from his bones
"And for his filthy stench 'twill atone," he improvises.
Don't forget your +1 to hit and damage!

Round 7 - Hobgobs
The fool-hardy lead hobgoblin peers around the corner at Erich with his sword drawn.
Behind him, seven hobgoblins loose arrows down the narrow passage.
Lyr: (+4 AC)

Round 8
Lueck steps forward again to get a better bead on the archers. He fires again and again, answering their arrows with his own.
Rapid shot, deadly aim, point blank shot, inspired.
To hit 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Erich Kaine
Although the hobgoblin's arrows are flying through the room all around him, Erich's mood is starting to lighten. He grins at Cairenn's song as the hobgoblins press their offensive. "These guys think they're clever, huh?"
They're getting angry--we've taken down a few of their people. And their anger is going to drive them to make mistakes! I think we can start to turn this fight in our direction.
Erich comes around the corner with a cocky grin on his face, raising his dagger to attack the leading hobgoblin. He takes a quick swing at the creature's smug face, then immediately drops to the ground.
Erich will take a five-foot step to the front of the hallway. He'll use his standard action to make an attack against the hobgoblin with the longsword. Dagger Attack +Inspire: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23 Dagger Damage + Inspire: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 Then he'll use his move action to drop prone (so that he won't provide cover to the hobgoblins and the archers can shoot over him).
Cairenn Bell
Round 8
Cai frowns when Eric drops to the ground. If a hobgoblin decides to run forward and hit him, the other half-elf will be in trouble...
Cai steps forward, switching his bow to his offhand and drawing his morningstar. If any hob decides to take advantage of Erich's prone state, they will meet his morningstar first.
5-foot step south, move action to draw morningstar, and readying an action to attack if a hobgoblin steps forward to melee attack Erich. Continue to perform.
Readied action: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 1 = 7
Readied damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 1 = 4
Kára Nightingale
Round Eight
Kára holds her ground. Walking into that hallway was practically suicide.
"Take cover and let them waste their arrows we'll move in once they've run dry." She says.
Lyrasael Sylrune
Round 8
Longbow (PBS, Inspire): 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 5 + 1 + 1 = 26 vs. yellow (or orange if it's down).
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 1 = 6
"You sure we won't run dry of ours first?" Lyr mutters sardonically as she pulls another feather-tipped arrow from the quiver on her back. This was... what, six now? Something around those lines. She hopes the fallen hobgoblins would have enough arrows to replenish her stocks, although no doubt they would be terribly made--unlike her home-crafted variety. After all, how could someone without fantastic elvencraft skills have a chance to produce a quality arrow?
Her shot is surprisingly deft, passing very close to striking her target right through the heart even despite the cramped conditions.

Round 8 - Hobs
The hobgoblins advance through the passage. The one in front stabs down at Erich.
Trigger Cai's readied action.
Erich:
Longsword: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 4 + 2 = 21
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Archers loose another volley.
Lueck:

Bow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 8
Bow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Cai: (+4 AC)
Bow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 4
Lyr: (+4 AC)
Bow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Cairenn Bell
Round 9
Cairenn looks massively irritated that he failed to hit the hobgoblin. He's also massively irritated because his conjured twinkling lights are about to disappear. Well... get the best good he can out of it, he supposes.
"Abraxes! Power flow from the grave, to the land of the living!" he cries, directing his 'ghost' to Erich's injured body. He mutters more quietly beneath his breath, reaching out to touch the prone warrior.
Move action to stick the dancing lights right on top of Erich (does nothing, other than fulfill Cai's whim), 5-foot step north, and casting CLW as standard on Erich. Free action to drop his morningstar in his current square, to free up his hand to cast. Still performing.
CLW: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Energy flows into Erich... and the ghost winks out of existence.
(Dancing lights only had a duration of 1 minute. I assume it was likely to be gone or near gone by this point. Down to Kara's light!)
Lueck
"Hunh!" Lueck lets out an involuntary grunt when the arrow connects with him. He looks away as the arrow splinters against his armor. He's not sure how bad the damage is, but the blood tells him its not good. Blocking out the pain as best he can, he tries to end this quickly in the best way he knows how.
He targets purple in the back first; if the first shot drops him, he moves up to red.
Rapid shot, deadly aim, point blank shot, inspired.
To hit 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Damage 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
To hit 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

Round 9:
The hobgoblin's downward thrust catches Erich in the thigh, and his vision blurs for a moment with the pain. "Gah!" The hobgoblin chortles smugly as he raises his longsword for another strike.
But Erich's pain fades in a matter of seconds, as the noble ghost Abraxes (at the command of its necromantic master) sacrifices its existence to help repair the grievous wound inflicted. The hobgoblin's smug look fades just as quickly.
"Thank you, noble Abraxes, Erich mutters, "I'll make an offering at your grave when all this is over."
As Erich jumps to his feet, the hobgoblin brings his longsword around for another attack. Undeterred, Erich dives forward, thrusting his dagger toward the hobgoblin's exposed midsection.
Erich will take a move-equivalent action to stand from prone, which will incur an attack of opportunity from the adjacent hobgoblin. He will then use his standard action to make a melee attack Dagger Attack +Inspire: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25 Dagger Damage +Inspire: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3. Finally, he'll take a free five foot step to the side to once again leave the line of fire open for his archer companions.
Kára Nightingale
Round Nine
Kára continues to hold her ground waiting for the enemy to come to them.
Ready Action to attack.
Cairenn Bell
He has twenty-nine minutes remaining. ;) He's good for a while.
Round 10
"Their commander is pulling back," Cairenn relays quickly. "Except he's-- he's 'preparing the bat god'?" the half-elf echoes with arched brows.
"That doesn't sound good."
He takes another shot at one of the hobgoblins, trying to deny them that 'time' to prepare.
Bowshot on green, cover penalty included: 1d20 + 4 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 + 1 - 4 = 16
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Lyrasael Sylrune
Round 9
Lyr would like to take this situation seriously-- bat gods didn't sound particularly pleasant, after all-- but she's too busy facepalming at how reverently Erich is treating Cairenn's stupid "ghost" thing. I can't believe he's managed to convince yet another person of how 'amazing' he supposedly is... The elf reaches over her shoulder to snag another arrow, but her subsequent arcing shot towards the retreating hobgoblins is rather languid and off-centre.
"Like I said," she grumbles, annoyed at herself as much as she is Erich, "don't encourage him! He becomes insufferable if you feed his ego too much!"
Longbow (PBS/Inspire) vs. Blue: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 5 + 1 + 1 = 15
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 + 1 = 9
Erich Kaine
Round 10:
"Bat God?" Erich raises an eyebrow. "I have to agree with you--that doesn't sound like something I'd want to run into in a dark alley."
Erich shoulder was numb where the hobgoblin's longsword had slammed into it. Although the chain beneath his tunic had blunted the attack, he knew that the entire area was going to be badly bruised. He could feel the pain shoot down his arm as he hurled one of his daggers down the hall.
With the hobgoblins' numbers thinned out, Erich thinks, the end of this battle may finally be in sight. Unless the 'bat god' turns out to be something more serious than their 'bass cannon'...
Erich uses a standard action to throw one dagger down the hall at the hobgoblins (purple). Thrown Dagger +Inspire: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21 Dagger Damage +Inspire: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 He will skip his move action this turn. He has one dagger left (in hand).
Lueck
Round 10
I was kind of waiting to see if Kara was going to hold her ready or advance, but I'll try this...
Lueck tries to take out the last lurking hobgoblin (blue).
To hit 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Damage 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
To hit 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Damage 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
But the hobgoblin has too much of his mass hidden behind the corner from Lueck for him to make the shot.
He also says "Erich, I've a dagger at my belt if you need another."
Kára Nightingale
Round Ten
Kára continues to hold her ground keeping herself out of the line of fire between her group and the last hobgobin.
Cairenn Bell
We do have several wounded PCs (three by my count?), just in case you missed it. Not trying to tell you how to play Kara, of course, just pointing it out.
Kára Nightingale
I don't want to risk hitting any of the unconscious/dying hobgoblins with it.
Edit/ Crap posted under the wrong alias.
DM Grimmy
Round 10
The last crazy hobgoblin is quivering more than the thing he keeps his arrows in as he steps out to get a clear shot at Lueck.
A flash of purple light behind him bolsters his confidence.
Longbow+?: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 1 = 10
It's not enough.
Erich Kaine
Round 11:
"Just one left! I got him, guys!" As the lone hobgoblin fires his arrow and begins reaching for another, Erich jumps around the corner and recklessly dashes down the narrow hall, dagger flashing. He spins around at the last second, attacking the hobgoblin with a wild swing. Dagger Attack +Inspire: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25 Damage +Inspire: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
