This is the kind of map I'm used to from google docs. Anything of higher quality than this will literally blow my mind.

I'm happy to start whenever. University is ramping up for me at the moment as I head towards the end of the semester, but the only time it should really affect me assuming nothing unexpected happens (touch wood) will be the last week of June when I have my exams.

I have never used spreadsheets as maps as a GM but I have been in PbP as a player where they were used and I absolutely loved it. Nothing to take you out of the scene in your imagination, just purely an aid for positioning.
I use a wide range of maps, some very pretty ones for set-piece encounters, some crappy doodles for random encounters. But I am definitely moving consciously towards minimal.

You might need to get the new apps for sheets. Google broke docs and sheets into apps separate from drive.
Ok I was trying to do it right in a browser window. I'm going to try that, I hope it works. I know I remember moving tokens from mobile before, could have been on my android though.

All I know is that personally every game I've played where the players moved their own tokens it never worked on my android phone, not that I haven't tried anyways.

Okay, I was busy happily applying for a little while and I am a wee bit fuzzy on the groups. Can you repost them for me?
EDIT: Found them. Me, Cai, Lyr, and Erik, right? Anyway, I want to start ASAP otherwise I think I may forget about it :)
DM Grimmy
I'm thinking Lyr's team have come to rid the land of a blight, following the trail of deformed animals back to the dungeon.
I know Cairenne at least came from Bard's Gate, other's may have joined the siblings there or at a later stage closer to the dungeon.
The other team has been captured by Killian Kincaid, the Bandit King, in the Forest of Hope near the legendary Dungeon of Graves, Rappan Athuk. You may have been captured together, or met each other in captivity.
He normally ransoms his captive adventurers to Zelkor's Ferry, a tiny semi-fortified settlement consisting of an inn, general store, armory, stables, and ferry dock. This time he is going to take advantage of a recent treaty violation caused by the MoD group as an excuse to escort you out of his territory to the entrance of Saecaroth and send you down to recover a family heirloom.

You mentioned in the lost lands recruitment you were thinking of expanding the groups to 2 teams of 5 including me and one other new character still to be found. So would you like me to check into the gameplay thread and which group do you think would benefit the best from the addition of my ninja?
Pharnox Shadowstrike
If it is alright with everyone else I would prefer to join Team 2. 1, They have no rogue character yet and, 2, when I first saw Christoff's backstory idea of the wizarding school hiring someone to "remove" Christoff from school my ninja could the one they hired, but he now finds himself trapped in the dungeon as well and is forced to team up with the person he was hired to remove.

Everyone check out these guides on the basics of PbP if you haven't seen them:
Mythweavers Basics of Play by Post
I'll be copy/pasting or linking the bits I find particularly important into the campaign info tab and/or my profile at some point.
I'm also studying DH's guide for PbP GM's and I'm learning a lot!
Let me know if there are any other resources I should know about, most of you have been at the whole PbP thing much longer than I have!
Kára Nightingale
I've read DH's guide before, the other two are new to me. Couldn't hurt to touch up on some things.

@Pharnox Actually we kind of have similar backgrounds, well-off families that we get ousted from in one way or another.
If you were given the task by my father, not knowing I was his son (my father hires you but never mentions my last name) would that perhaps help motivate you to work with me when you found out.
Also, I'm thinking you might get stuck in dungeon because your employer doesn't want any loose ends (cliche, I know).
Just spitballing, let me know what you think Pharnox. I think it would be hilarious Christoff ends up becoming buddy-buddy with the guy who got him stuck in here.

I have this nasty habit of reading the gameplay thread, making my post, reading the discussion thread, and then kicking myself for not reading the discussion first. I then tell myself I really need to read the discussion thread before I post, I'll definitely do it next time. And then I do it again.
Christoff, I can't seem to find your backstory on your profile and I don't completely remember it from the recruitment. Does your father work for the academy, I think you said they donated alot of money, but I could be wrong.
Christoff van Alst
Im going to say no. Basically, my father is well to do and sends me off to the academy to get rid of me. The Academy is as flumoxed by me as my father but is afraid to get rid of me because my father is influential and they don't realize he could care less.
My thought is i do something to cause a big enough problem for the academy that they approach my father and he is finally embrassed enough that he disowns me and instructs the academy to send me to the location that you find me.
I'll clean this up and throw it in my alias later.
Kára Nightingale
I don't think there is an official decision just yet.
Kára Nightingale
I have seven checked in according to the characters tab, who we missing?
Cai + Lyr

Should I make it to level 5 would you consider allowing this Feat?
DM Grimmy
Ok, MoD player's are talking over the possibility of sending one or three PC's your way to fill out the ranks. At least one PC over there has a strong IC motivation.
In game they are currently about to part ways with the bandit king (the NPC behind this DoD excursion). They have used diplomacy to avoid being captured by him but there is a connection with him that one of the PC's would like to explore. If she does, she will end up meeting the captive PC's in the bandit king's camp and decide to accompany them when she learns that Saecaroth is the source of the blight she had originally come to this region to track (much like Lyr).
There is a second PC in MoD who has expressed that if she goes he would follow to make sure she's safe (IC he is smitten with her). But that would give us an odd number again.
Kára Nightingale
Of one of the 9 of us could go to a main game if there was room.

Hey there, guys. Just jumping over here to say "Good Luck!" I know you're starting soon and I'm excited for you all and also to have some new blood in the mega-campaign. Also, you all have totally converted me to the resource spoiler in the mini-stat area. Well, converted may not be the right word, but I'm using it now after having read your thread.
