I meant which one do I roll, but I'll do both.
Azruk gets to work tracking down a half-decent place to stay. In an unusually lax manner.

"You are right, Artemis, but I will probably have to translate... if my memory doesn't fail me, and it never does, Nighttail mentioned they spoke some kind of ancient human dialect." says the wizard before turning to Bela and Azruk "You two seem to need caffeine, a good beauty sleep or maybe both... let's find us some shelter and recharge our batteries before entering the settlement, shall we? I suppose they won't move their town in the next eight hours."

Once the group is settled, Victarion sits in a rock and asks them "Would you mind if I go ahead and scout the village? As I said, I can block myself from mortal's gaze a last time before needing rest... I could take a sneak peek and retuen to sleep."
Artemis Storm Bringer
Be careful if you get into trouble we want know until it's probably to late. GM I'm guessing we rest for at least 8hr Artemis will take first watch.
Azruk-Hal
Awright, Imma nap now... Wake me up for my turn, Art. It's unclear if the reptilian gave Artemis a nickname out of friendliness or if he's just that tired. Either way, he's out cold almost immediately. His snoring is unmatched in volume.
I would vote eight hours.
Belasara Vileux
"Not at all," Bela assures Victarion around another yawn. Setting down the bundled egg in her arms, Bela pulls out her bedroll and lays it on a soft-looking spot on the ground. "Like 'Art' said, just be careful. I imagine I'll be sleeping like the dead in a few moments, so if you run into any trouble, you might need to scream very loudly." In any other circumstances, Bela might have had trouble finding sleep with the almost frightening sounds coming from Azruk, but given her exhaustion, the young healer is out as soon as her silvery blonde head hits her pillow.
Eight hours sounds good.

Sorry guys, it slipped my mind. No excuse, tho, will try ti avoid being so slow.
Victarion's plan goes through his mind: he's totally going to walk close to the village. In that moment he's going to cast Invisibility and enter it, trying to decipher the inhabitants good or ill intentions towarda possible visitors.
Once he is sure, or he has less than a minute of invisibility lefr, he will exit the village and return as fast as possible.
And he is goinf to look dashing the whole time.
Azruk-Hal
"And when I woke up, Victarion was back with pizza and peace offer from the humans! Hooray!"
GM_IamZero000
Sorry i'm late with the post
You walk close to the village, and turn invisible. your about to take your first step through into the Village when as you make that step a loud sound begin's ringing, almost like a bell.
The villager's quickly spring to action and begin closing the village gate, you have to make a split second decision. In the village or out!

Victarion, alarmed by the sudden noise, legs it. Amidst the confusion he can't identify the spell that caught him... but in thr end he doesn't care.
Running as only a scared wizard can, Vic returns to tje rest.

Vic indeed looks frightened, after all his magicks never fail him, and he always forgets cardio so he needs a minute to catch his breathe.
When he feels like his lungs aren't going to be thrown up, the wizard speaks "Those... those damned underdeveloped pseudohumans... they had magical wards! As soon as I tried to step inside the village an alarm went off. I swear to the Maths, it was as if the Nine Hells decided to play vuvuzela just out of spite!" he explains before kicking a rock in anger and harming more than his own pride "I couldn't discover if those sneaky, greasy, oily, limey bastards were on our side, against us or the total opposite... We will have to test it the-" he sighs with all his might. He sighs as if the world was about to end. Victarion sighed like he was born for that very sighing moment. "-non magical way: we go in and ask."
After pronouncing those words, Victarion looks like he needs a hug. But he is a proud wizard, and simply walks to the place where Bobo has placed his bed, patting the Dodo in the head.
Azruk-Hal
*Snoring intensifies* Azruk remains sound asleep and immobile during the wizards diatribe.
Azruk-Hal
Alright I guess I'll spontaneously wake up.
The Barbarian awakes from his thousand year slumber and half sits up, shoving his tail out of the way so as to not be directly on top of it.
Guh, wa's goin' on? You three gonna talk to the other humans now? ...What happened to Vic?
I vote we finish the resting, then the human and human adjacent party members go knock on the village doors.

Burninating the village isn't even an pption, not enough spells :'( I also say we rest and tomorrow we'll do it the speaking way.
Belasara Vileux
The seemingly perpetual night sky is the first thing to greet her when the young healer finally opens her eyes. Although feeling considerably refreshed given her previous state of exhaustion, Bela could easily turn on her side and sleep soundlessly for another six or so hours. A shuffling sound draws her attention over to where Azruk stands watch, and, taking note of her (presumably) sleeping companions, she concludes that her watch is about to begin. "Did I miss anything?" she asks in a raspy voice.

Vic got caught trying to sneak in to the town. And we are going to try and talk with them as soon as everyone feels up to it. I think you may want to do most of the talking. But we should probably decide on what we actually want from them?
Azruk-Hal
Now paging the GM.
We want the way out. Then we smuggle the kobold out in a backpack or something.
Belasara Vileux
Bela is taking second watch, I believe.
Bela sits up sharply at Artemis' retelling, her eyes scanning Victarion's form in the dark. Seeing the wizard is unharmed, the oracle breathes a sigh of relief and gets to her feet. "I think you overestimate my charm," she teases the archer as she stretches her arms out over her head, getting ready for her watch. "But I'm happy to try negotiating with these people, provided we speak a common, or at least similar language." Bela's eyes cut briefly to Azruk at his statement. "And let's not forget about all the other kobolds and humans who are stuck down here," she points out, not so subtly.

Seeing it looks as if second watch is now up I will check on my bed roll. Artemis gets up and finds a comfortable spot and sacks out.

Some time during Bela's shift, day turns to night rather quickly as it has been. You seem a magical light shoot from the village toward the "Sun" seemingly performing the task.
A hour or so passes after that, you see a small bright light walking toward the camp. An older human man approaches the camp, he wasn't with the survivors. I see, i wasn't expecting other surfacers to be down here, what bring's you? He seems friendly enough.

Victarion growls as the ghostly sound wakes him "We better be in a perilous situation which requires my arcane talents, otherwise I may miscalculate my ranges next time we battle." he says as he turns and opens an eye "Mmmh... Interesting. I don't believe in coincidences, therefore you must have a story regarding how did you end here. And with here I mean both in this mathforsaken underground jungle and in this particular place of said jungle."
Victarion sits eithout standing, still feeling the drowzyness dragging him "My name is Victarion Gauss. Mathematician, adventurer, professor and explosion' connoisseur."

The man looks at Bela a bit angrily Are you Daft? making that kind of noise in an unprotected area, fraught with danger. You'll attract predators The man sighs, Looking over toward's AzruksI am known as Felix, and you can put the blade down i'm not here to fight just to find out what surfacer's are doing this far below.
The shift's his gaze over toward Vic, I am here on purpose and for my own reasons doing my own studies, didn't your Master ever teach you not to interfere in another mage's works? or for that matter to cover your own tracks or check for defenses when infiltrating? He seems particularly critical about this.
Azruk-Hal
Ooh. Quick, start slapping at each other! Call him a "polynygmeon."
Azruk enjoys the nerd burns.
The village does have a mage with them. Either he's making a mistake coming out here alone, or he knows something we don't.
Azruk-Hal
Azruk doesn't put his weapon down, but he does look less aggressive. As non-aggressive as an armed eight foot tall creature can get anyway.
I am Azruk-hal. We're in this hole because we've been searching for a missing person. We've found her but now we need a way out. We were told that human village would be a good place to start.
Belasara Vileux
"That may be," Bela begins at the stranger's chastisement. Her eyes pointedly move from Victarion to Artemis, and then to Azruk, before completing the circuit and landing back on Felix. "But I rather like our chances against whatever predators might be drawn to the noise," she counters, smiling sweetly. "I am Belasara, and now that we're all acquainted and you know why we're here, perhaps you can answer a few of our questions. We are seeking our way back to the surface, and we have reason to believe that such a way can be found within the village. Will you grant me and my companions safe passage, if such a thing is within your power to grant?"

Still clearly a child with little understanding of nature, By chance what predators do you think will show child? Regardless of what your friend say's i want you all gone so i will help to a degree He continues to chastise having none of your honeyed words, He begins pacing around muttering under his breathe. He snaps his fingers and a small wooden table appears, he pulls out a a leather tube, a rolled up piece of paper, a map marking several Tunnels along the edges of this jungle chamber.
As you can see there are many way's out, however i can tell you from personal experience that many of them aren't safe. If you haven't figured it out by now, this is the safest place in all the Darklands. however only this one chamber, more than half of these tunnels lead into Drow territory my own included, the other's lead to various other problems...i'm fairly certain one of them has an Aboleth, though i can't be certain. He point's to a Tunnel nearby, Down the river. This one will be your best bet, though a Troglodyte tribe lives there, guarding it ferociously.
Azruk-Hal
So... the trogs then? Azruk turns his head to the others, apparently disappointed at the news.
