Was celebrating this weekend. I'll post something tonight when I get home, probably. If I don't, though, go ahead and move on.

I'm back. Feel free to post without me.
Also, Shi, I sense the beginnings of a long a beautiful friendship between Talvien and you.

Shi may be lawful good, but he's not 'Lawful Grim' as most people try to play Lawful Good. He enjoys playing games with Talvien. And also has a perverse like of practical jokes (like offering bites of horseradish).
Shi's Good is stronger than Lawful though, and Lawful in his case is more about Loyalty, Acting Honorably to others, and keeping his word, not about mortal laws (he honestly finds most mortal laws to be self-contradicting and self serving and hypocritical, when they aren't just bizarre).
If anyone catches me acting out of alignment, drop me a discussion note. Sometimes I get busy and forget to take things into account...

I'm sure this is poor form somehow, but I just can't find a viable post here. This scene seems like one where there would be a chance to meet some of the other movers and shakers in the Stolen Lands (I'm GMing it, I'll keep names and identities secret, etc.), but there's just nothing to interact with here. Sorry. I'll keep thinking about what I can say besides Aris sits down at the table.

I do apologize for my absenteeism. Real life hit me like a ton of bricks the past few weeks. Nothing inherently negative, but a lot of things that needed a lot of my attention, all at once.
Back now. Let's do this.

It would be nice to have 2-3 posts a week...

I agree with Shi'Vatha. There needs to be a modicum of consistency here. Like he said, my games all shut down over break, but there needs to be some serious thinking on all our parts. I'm not asking (or wanting) 2+ posts/day, since it's tough to keep up with on my work schedule, but 2-3 a week would be a pleasant change of pace.
If you can't make that happen due to schedule issues or what-have-you, please let us know so we can make what decisions we need to.

I do agree, as well. I know I've played my own part in this dragging, but a minimum of 2-3 posts per week should be something that we strive for.
That said, a text from Div says we should expect a post tonight.

I'm at the point where I'm just about done with this. This game's making me feel very strung along and, after two months, we haven't rolled a single dice unless we made it happen. I'm not asking for combat in the next post, but I am asking for this game to move at 2-3 posts/week. If that doesn't happen, I will drop the next time there's a Kingmaker recruitment in Recruitment.
I'm sorry to be making threats like that, but this is ridiculous.

Okay, so I'm back. As I was telling Arawn, Jan term final essays require a bit of work. That said, I apologize that I was not more transparent with that bit.
I also had a raid scheduled last night on WoW for the mythic difficulty version of Hellfire Citadel, which pretty much required my character's presence and could not be rescheduled by several members about a month or so ago, so that people could get their limited time grove warden mounts.
Now there is finally time to be able to post!
I talked with Arawn quite a bit since I woke up around 4:00 PM EST today about the campaign, my obligations, how I can fix things so that you guys do not feel abandoned, and such things. I originally, when I read the thread earlier, got the basic gist of what everyone was saying, but misconstrued the proposed solution. I thought that people were wanting a set time frame of when people can post so that there could be multiple posts back-to-back. However, after trying to figure out a time frame idea, I spoke to Arawn and I found out that I misread that.
So now I am here just to ask you a simple question: if I can start posting as per normal, is everyone still game for playing in this campaign?
I also want to alleviate fears of those who think that I am stringing them along. If Arawn is okay with it, would you like me to send a series of pictures with my antibiotics, essay, and grove warden mount, so that he can confirm to you all/share on Skype with you all that I have had legitimate reasons for being absent all these days, even if my notifications to you, or lack thereof, were lackluster? I can even write 'JIGGYWIGGYZ' on a paper next to the items so you know that I didn't fish for a picture online.
I really am trying to rebuild trust in this community after the unfortunate circumstances that caused me to lose said trust. I know it may not seem like it, but I really am.

Just post a pic on imgur and PM people the link if they want it. Not everyone is on Skype, and the group hasn't been active in a while.
I don't much care about proof. I just want consistency.

As Arawn said, I don't care about the proof. I don't even care about the pacing all that much, provided it picks up to a few times a week or faster (but not too fast; I work, and I can't post from my job unless it's short and not fun). What I do care about is that if you have to disappear, you let us know and then when you say there's going to be a post, there's a post.
If you can do that, I'd like to continue playing. If not...well...

Let's shoot for 2-3 posts a week, and if it goes faster, great, but if not, well, we can cross that when it comes to it. Long vanishings need a post to say 'Hey sorry'. I had to be gone for 2 weeks in December, right before Christmas, I posted that I would be flakey for awhile.

Thanks for the game. I'm glad I had the opportunity to play Aris again, even if it was perhaps not as satisfactory as I was hoping. My complaints have been voiced, and I won't repeat them here. If you have questions about them, please PM me.
GM LotW, I urge you to consider whether or not you're in a place in your life where you can GM one game, let alone the one you were recently recruiting for. If you want to, you can message me about how much time I've spent on my Kingmaker game and the effort that's been put into it. I don't hold any hard feelings against you as a person, but it's clear that you either weren't aware of the effort it'd take to GM this, or you didn't care about how much it'd be. Either way, I wish you luck in the future.
Please mark me inactive.

GM, I understand you're worried about people holding a grudge, and that you're going through tough times, but I agree with Aris. It may be time for some introspection.
Trust or no trust, grudge or no grudge, you aren't posting in games that you start. That's the core of the issue.
I want this game to go on, and I'll be sticking around in case it does, but please, we need you to post if you want to play.
That's really all there is to the story.

You should all be wary about applying to any game started by any alias of Divinitus in the future, and it may be best to keep fellow forum goers aware of some of the shady things going on from this particular player on these boards.
Some of you may have been recruited by Divinitus from this post where he is recruiting players from a failed Kingmaker recruitment.
However the original recruiter for that game is GM Kingslayer An ALIAS of Divinitus, aka GM Lord of the Wilds.
He pretended to be an interested player in his own abandoned recruitment thread, and looking through his history this is not the first time he has pretended to be a separate person using another alias.
There is an abandoned game under some alias of Divinitus for almost every month of the last year or two. Be careful not to be taken in again.

Okay, so I have a confession to make. I have been letting the negativity from the messageboards get to me as of late. That's the reason that I have not posted in so long, for which I am sorry. I have felt, quite honestly, like the talk about me has been right, that I have been a failure as a DM/GM.
This continued until, after about 3 or 4 days ago, when Red velvet Tiger, Monkeygod, and one of the players (Arawn Vasska's player, whose screen name I don't quite remember,) who had quit from my campaign finally managed to convince me that the best way to dispel the negativity is to power-through and show people that things are different.
I don't really know why I let the negativity bother me as much as I do, it just does. I can handle criticism to an extent, if it is only said once and sufficient time is allowed for me to fix the problem. Constant criticism, even when I am making efforts to change, just really bothers me. It could be the inborn tendency that I have towards depression and anxiety or it could be a deeper personality flaw. Which it is, I am not sure of.
Thanks to the three individuals I mentioned above, and to those who conveyed their well-wishes through them, I will not be quitting the messageboards permanently, as I was honestly considering. If you all are reading this, thank you for helping me get past this issue.
I will be returning to run my campaigns shortly, but I just wanted to explain what was going on and answer the biggest questions that I'm sure people were wondering.
Arisl'arial, I would be interested in accepting good advice you have for dealing with a lot of negativity. It is something that I have always had trouble dealing with, to be honest. And thank you for your offer of free advice!
Shi'Vatha, have you officially thrown in the towel, so to speak?
Cydrius, thank you for the well-wishings! RVT and MG both told me about your post, so thank you for sticking with me despite the issues. Honestly, it is players like you that make me want to continue playing.
YouDirtyRat, I'm not sure who you are, to be honest, but I can assume that you are one of my past players. I have apologized for my actions before. I hope that, whoever you are, you find a good game. I will not hold a grudge against you despite your comment.
Who remains from the group?

I'm still here. I'm not going to yell at you. I will say, people will judge you on how you act. Apologies don't do a lot of good without the will to back them up. That's not me chewing you out, I'm just stating fact. I think I've actually said this before, overcoming a bad rep takes a lot of effort, and you can't let up for a second. You have to press forward. If you choose to do that and don't let up, it'll turn around. But the first work has to be on your part, not others. In other words, you have to decide you're going to change, and then do it. Others can't forgive you into change. By the same token, they can't drive you away or tell you to go away. Both of those choices are yours to make.
If you run the game, I'll post. But you need to post regularly. 2-3 times a week at least. Monkeygod can confirm that I've had players quit on me and chew me out. :) I don't give up. I just let them go and try not to do whatever it was that ticked them off again. You can't let it get to you. It's never fun to get chewed out, you just put it behind you and try not to let it happen again.
