I'm enjoying the game. I had very little trouble with the first encounter but on more complicated fights it would be nice.

Thanks! Add a "A short piece of copper wire" (no cost or weight) for message and Prat is cleared to play.

FYI, I am open to alternatives to Summon Familiar at first level, please just clear it with me (including the specialist wizard's familiar substitute class abilities from here), then again, familiars can be cool..totally your call.

To keep with the idea that he has no idea that he can or even dose do magic right now, I put on my sheet that he has a copperwire bracelet.

As for the familliar, I am inclined to see where the adventrue takes us and see what Prat finds on his way.

Caerval, CH is back. Check it out here.

Excellent, flavourful choice!

Admit it, you want a peg-legged, one-eyed, flashy red, yellow, and blue parrot...that curses!

Thanks my friend!

You're welcome :D

Learnings #1: 4 hit points are not a lot. Any weapon becomes a killer with lucky rolls. Luenevyn got hit with a measly 2 points of damage and at 50% it nearly killed him!

I would advise everyone to be very cautious...

Over-hearing what the lady had said, Lance jogs over to her all the while cursing under his breath. He then holds out his hand (for the symbol) and says "I will help, but it had better not be a fools errand here."

Once she hands over the symbol to him or someone else:
Lance then heads to the east end of the alley away from the guards intending to head towards the docks. He gestures to the others in the alleyway that they should follow.

Thanks for the spoiler - as I told Summer, complex multidimensioned persons are way more fun than the flat hack-n-slash, get drunk and offensive, repeat kind.

Hey Shenzoe, Here is link to the Online Supplement for There is no Honor - it has a copy of the Sasserine map! It also contains tons of spoilers so be careful...

Another reason why we should strive to hit first. And ask questions later?

Good news! I have a battle map for the second encounter...RPGTools was not working for me (mainly because I am impatient) but I think everyone will be reasonably pleased.

Can everyone see this: Alley and Murdock Pier Map?

Dark Archive

I see it. :D

no problem.

I can see it just fine. Stupid question but what are the arrows?

Shenzoe wrote:

I strictly adhere to the No Stupid Question policy, so please ask anything.

One arrow points to the location of the alley encounter and the other points to Murdock Pier. The walled estate in between belongs to the Lidu family...

Spoiler:
I don't want to railroad your character, so disregard if you wish, but the elf could use some healing and Goodberries will help (follow the link for details)

Shenzoe:

Spoiler:
Is Summer leaving this encounter? I would appreciate a little spoiler tag explaining things that may not be obvious - like it may be perfectly in character for Summer to take off but I don't know her (or you) well enough to know what's going on. So I'm just left wondering why the healer just left a battle.

Sorry for not being specific, but yes Summer is leaving the battle. She is not willing to risk her life for a bunch of strangers. She is also feeling worried about what Elaine would say if she knew Summer was not delivering the packet in a timely manner. I realize that leaving is probably not that convenient for the campaign but it would be completely against Summer's character to stay and fight. If this screws things up too much just tell me and I will stay anyway.

Spoiler:
Hmmm...no, you be you...I'll tie you back in...but for the sake of the party, do you mind if you tossed all the Goodberries to Luenevyn instead of just the one? Finally, do you mind creating a bit more about Summer's goals/ambitions/desires/hopes/dreams/something so I can tweak things so she'll want to get involved?

Okay I will add more in under Summer's profile soon.

Helpful reminder: to help keep things moving along, please be sure to always include dmg rolls when attacking.

example: atk: (1d20+1=7) and dmg: (2d6+1=5)

(I put "atk:" and "dmg:" in my note field but unless you have something doing d20 damage I can probably tell them apart)

To be honest it is going to be hard for the party to trust someone with a "meh" attitude. (In my opinion)

...I agree. Let's wait and see what what becomes of her backstory/motivations. She'll have a lot of roleplaying to do to gain your trust :)

Shenzoe: do you have the Player's Handbook II? There is an excellent Druid alternate class ability for those wishing to focus more on healing.

Spontaneous Rejuvenation (PHB2 p39) replaces Spontaneous Casting of summon nature’s ally spells and must be chosen at first level. As a standard action the druid can sacrifice a prepared spell to grant Fast Healing to all allies within 30 ft for 3 rounds. The fast healing amount is equal to the spell's level. This fast healing does not stack with any other source of fast healing.

It's not a lot, but every little bit can help and it sorta fits.

I have a PC in my RotRL game and so far it has been pretty good. 3 rounds of hp's for the party can make a big differance.

Lam-ang & Summer: could you please specify your weapon proficiency on your character sheet? Sorry I missed this before...

Yeah, and the only reason I'm tough on this is that I go back and look up stuff on your character sheet a lot...It's far easier to just click on the in-game avatar.

Sorry , I keep trying to switch the avatar but my laptops touch pad is very sensitve and I think that Im accidently scrolling it back onto my main name. Of course I dont catch it until its posted. I will try to keep getting prats Pic up there not only for ease of chr finding but for the RP aspect as well. One of the reasons I wanted to play by post here was the chaging avatars.

Thanks for the congrats, Good luck to Rob..Iskandria was very cool.

I'm going to be busy this weekend getting my villian finished up so If i dont post just have Prat do what a hyper teenager with a sword might do.

Just to let you know. If you catch it in the one hour edit time limit you can change the avatar not just the message.

Oh and rock that villiany!

Okay I didn't figure that he was also talking to me but I thought it would be best to be sure. Do you also want me to record 250xp? Just asking since I didn't actually participate in the battle.

Oh and I do have the PH II and will look up that alternative.
