Kokip |

His wounds healed up, Kokip hisses and renews his assault on the skeleton before him.
Bite: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 6 + 1 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 1 = 4
Tail: 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 + 1 = 14
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Shalewen |

A lot happens in the next few moments. Shalewen releases the spell and another canine appears behind the skeletons. It immediately lunges at the skeleton, working with Shadow to attack.
Bite+flanking: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 + 2 = 18
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Instead of letting Shadow continue, she whistles and calls him back to her side. Should be DC 12 Handle Animal to Heel and I can't fail that anymore.
She steps up in his place, drawing her sword and shield, and stabbing at it.
Attack+Flanking: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 + 2 = 16
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Move to draw sword and shield. 5ft step up. Standard to attack. Shadow withdraws. Summoned another dog behind the one dueling Ikoma.

DavianGrallus |
Arieys, I'll allow you to move, as your CLW was essentially skipped last turn. After doing some bookkeeping, Arieys, you may want to cast CLW on Ikoma again. If my math is correct he still only has 5hp, and would have just fallen before your CLW last turn after that attack from the skeleton Samurai. I'm going to RP it as such for now. Actual post tonight.

DavianGrallus |
As Ikoma falls from another blow by the Samurai Commander, Arieys raises him back up from behind.
The barrage from the front line combatants destroys the other two skeletons, causing the commander to howl in protest as he turns his blade onto Kokip, seeing it as the largest threat.
"You... YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SEE THE CONTENTS OF THIS CHEST. YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION."
He swings his katana, thinking that Ikoma has fallen for good. It is clear as he strikes that Ikoma had done quite a fair bit of damage to the skeleton as well- his bones no longer rattle methodically but clack and swing free from a majority of their joints. It seems a long lost duty and passion is all that continues his movement to protect a chest far off in the cavern.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
The katana cuts through Kokips tough scaled hide, emanating a satisfied grin from the Commander as he now stands alone against the party.
Top of the initiative, and we are finally back in full swing.
I apologize for the over week long delays.

Kokip |

Kokip rears back in pain, then glares directly at the skeleton.
"I have no need of your treasure." he remarks disdainfully before snapping his jaws closed on a leg bone and tearing it from side to side.
Bite: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 6 + 1 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 + 1 = 8
Tail: 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 + 1 = 8
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Shalewen |

The summoned wolf attacks one more time, working in tandem with Shelewen again, before poofing out of existence and back to the plane it called home.
Bite+flanking: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 + 2 = 22
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Shelewen attacks with her sword as well.
Attack+Flanking: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 + 2 = 14
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

DavianGrallus |
As Arieys pleas to negotiate with the commander, Ikoma strikes out after him from behind. The Commanders armor simply stops it in its tracks as if it were a blade made of wood.
Shalewen and Shadow take this opportunity to strike after the commander, and while Shalewen's sword is deflected by the skeleton's katana Shadow manages to gnaw away the commander's arm as Mitsuko continues to sing the heroes onward.
The song, it seems, is more than enough to lead Kokip to land a killing blow with its teeth on the commander. Its tail misses the mark wide, but its teeth crunch the commander's helmet and crush the skull into dust as its frame collapses, clacking for the last time, into the water and mud below.
As the violence finally ceases, the commander's katana rolling into the water, all that remains in the cavern is a slow whistling of the wind of the storm howling outside. A whip of lighting is heard every few seconds as it echoes through the tunnels of the cave, and the adventurer's light sources reveal the beautiful chest the commander so valiantly guarded.
It appears to be made of cherry wood and jade, a beautiful red tint on the wood to match the brilliant and shining green jade. On its front is a rather strong and intricate lock, fitting to the chests rather large size. It is clear it is heavy, as well, as nearly a quarter of it is sunken into the muddy waters towards the side of their current place.
As the katana of the commander rolls into the low leveled water, what appears to be the bottom of its handle floats to the top, separated from the rest. It appears the fight had rendered some sort of seal on the bottom of the sword's handle loose.
End of Initiative.

Shalewen |

Shalewen remains tense for a few moments after the skeletal samurai falls, weary of any more enemies. She feels a nudge from behind and turns to see Shadow, one paw held off the ground and dripping blood slowly. If he wasn't sensing anything nearby then it was okay to relax a bit. She puts her weapons away and takes a good long look at his wounds. They were more severe than any he'd taken before but not life threatening. Not yet anyway. The half elf digs around in her pack for some basic first aid and starts bandaging the worst of it. Shadow sits, docile as Shalewen works, periodically licking her hand or face.

As Ikoma and Rokkad go for the katana, Arieys begins to examine the chest. She tries to open it and it does not budge a single inch. Attempting to open it in any sort of way becomes futile, as Arieys comes to the realization that only a master lockpick could open the chest. Sleight of Hand check for any who want to open the chest!
Rokkad finds the katana in the water, and pulls out a long and bound scroll that he is incapable of reading- it could be assumed that it is in one of the older languages of Varisia- Tien.
If no one can read Tien, please make a Kn. Local check

Rokkad |

Rokkad pokes through the bones of the commander to see if it was carrying anything besides the sword. "We might have to break it open. Does anyone understand Tien?" he calls out, holding up the scroll.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
Untrained know (local): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 (Max 10)

Rokkad |

"Of course." Rokkad hands Ikoma the scroll as well as the blade, careful to give it to him hilt first. He glances over at Kokip, gauging the wounds he has suffered. It would be a bit annoying if the avatar were banished should they be attacked again, as with his low energy right now, he would not be able to call upon him again until the next sunrise.

DavianGrallus |
Rokkad- as you examine the chest you realize that sundering it in order to open it would very possibly damage the objects inside. It is clear by design the chest holds either a massive amount of wealth, or something pretty inside.
It would take a rather skilled person to be able to open up the chest, trained or otherwise. Your character would assume at least DC 20 level to open the chest.
The letter reads as the following;

Rokkad |

"It will take someone quite skilled to open this chest. I think it would be best to just leave it here until we have finished with the goblins. We can pick it up on our way back." Rokkad advises after a careful study. "For now, let us find a dry place to rest."

Mitsuko Kaijitsu |

Mitsuko looked at Ikoma and wasn't surprised he forgot about her. She was quiet and had spoken up about knowing Tien first. Moving forward while he was reading to examine the champion to see if he had a key on him.
"I would like to see the scroll if possible. Have we found a key? If not we can take it with us."

Mitsuko Kaijitsu |

Frowning slightly she would take the scroll not sure how to take his statement.
Rolling out the scroll she read it quietly.
"It belong's to both of us. Our family has been through a lot and it still seems there are more secrets to uncover." Kneeling at the bones of the Champion. "Tsutamu, you did well. Let your spirit recover, the message has found its way to the family." She said softly in Tien.

DavianGrallus |
As the group searches for meaning in the old letter now in their possession, the storm outside finally begins to calm. Lightning and its crackling thunder no longer echoes throughout the cavern. Instead the sound of song birds can be heard as the day begins to enter the afternoon.
Based on the noises of the cavern there is nothing else threatening to you all here, and the spider still sleeps long and well having been undisturbed. It is possible to set up a comfort camp for the night here, even.
As Mitsuko searches Tsutamu's body, she finds the key hidden and dangling inside his own ribcage, most likely stuck there from the fight. Pieces of the necklace are actually wrapped around his neck as Mitsuko pulls it away.
Rolling Kn. History or Nobility can reveal even more meaning and context to the letter. Detect magic / kn. arcana, or even appraise can reveal more about the sword Tsutamu dropped in the water. You are also now able to open the chest.

Shalewen |

Shalewen finishes dressing Shadow about the time he perks up and looks in the direction they had come. Both ears are forward in a gesture of interest rather than caution. She looks that way of course sees nothing. But when she turns her head she hears what he had. The storm had finally let up. The flow of water too. They could carry on but, after the fight, she doubted anyone would want to right now. "Storm's over. We should rest."

DavianGrallus |
As Rokkad hovers a hand over the sword and the area, he finds faint traces of magical aura everywhere. The sword clearly stands alone as something magical, while the chest hums loudly with the aura once Mitsuko opens it.
Vials, potions, and weapons of all sorts lie in the chest as well as mounds of gold. 500 GP to everyone in the party. Do not worry about gold weight.
You will need Kn. Arcana and Spellcraft to identify any of the potions, or magical items, in the chest. There are 4 potions and two magical items, so six rolls for each if you would like, just be sure to label them.
As far as anyone can see, there are no traps anywhere in the room or surrounding the chest. It was more than safe to open now that the skeletons had been destroyed. There is no item manifest in the chest to be found.

Rokkad |

"You should keep that weapon, it is enchanted." Rokkad states solemnly when questioned by Ikoma about the katana. He studies each of the items from the chest one by one.
Spellcraft (potion 1): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Spellcraft (potion 2): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Spellcraft (potion 3): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Spellcraft (potion 4): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Spellcraft (item 1): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Spellcraft (item 2): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

Mitsuko Kaijitsu |

As she thought over the contents of the letter she thought about the ramifications of the information within.
[dic=Knowledge:Nobility]1d20+3[/dice]
Knowledge:History: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Mitsuko finally figured out how she would take Ikoma's comment about her being the younger sister and it belonging to Ameiko.
Mitsuko gently pulled things out as she kept her temper in check. After all, her mother's training forbid a loud voice raised in anger. Some people after all didn't realize when slights were said and those that did, did not deserve the satisfaction of knowing it angered you.
Pulling out the coin purses and hands them out once she realized they held the same amount.
The potions she lines up letting Rokkad identify them. "Anything that can't be identified I can help with."
Then the two items
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
"I agree with Shalewen. We rest for now. We hazard the trip back to Walthus's or we stay here. This was a rough fight and we need to recover. Shalewen, which do you think is best considering the distance?"

Arieys Mavashti |

"We should be fine staying here. The spider's full, so it's probably going to sleep for now, and unless we deliberately provoke it, it won't attack us."
Arieys then looks at the items and riffles through her cards, a purplish-blue glow coming to her eyes.
Arieys casts detect magic.
She scans the items with her mystical sight, hoping to see secrets the others might have missed.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17

DavianGrallus |
Reroll for Mitsuko Kn Nobility: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
As the group prepares camp on site* they slowly begin to unravel the identity of all the items in the chest. Working together they list out the following;
Five Potions of Cure Light Wounds, Two Potions of Cure Moderate Wounds, Three Potions of Lesser Restoration, Ring of Climbing, and a Wand of Identify (19 charges). In addition, looking over the wakizashi** the group realizes that it is a Whispering Shrike +1 Wakizashi.
As the group finishes unearthing everything contained in the chest, beneath another velvet divider the group finds 11 Desnan Candles and 4 Sky Rockets.
As Ikoma picks up the wakizashi, and others identify it and study it, he realizes that water is less than capable of actually doing any damage to the weapon.
Meanwhile Mitsuko focuses on anything that could better clarify the letter Ikoma had begrudingly handed her. Unfortunately, despite her family history and knowledge, she would have to rely on her sister or another source to figure out the letter's proper context.
*2 to 1, can be rewritten if you'd like. Walthus' is an hour or so away from the cavern.
** I apologize, I incorrectly described Tsutamu's Wakizashi as a Katana. It is a wakizashi, which is why it had 1d6 as it's damage dice. My apologies!

DavianGrallus |
Alright folks, as we move forward, you would see quite a few things on the map. Tomorrow night I'll push towards the next morning, so let's see if you'd want to go to "Magus' Shack", the actual Goblin Hideout, Wampus', or to Sandpoint. Knowledge Local will be the roll needed to learn anything you'd want about these locations. In the meantime, feel free to also continue assorting your new found loot.
Ikoma- Unfortunately, the wakizashi shall remain a wakizashi :P
