Hello all,
I am delving headfirst into the world of PFS, and am currently recruiting to running the first three intro adventures.
I have being playing rpgs for about 23 years now in multiple systems. That being said we all have lives so I do not expect more than a post every weekday and one on the weekend. If you are going to be gone for work or other personal issues just drop me a line and give me a head's up.
I am prepared in running multiple games depending on how many applicants there are. As of right now I would like to close recruitment by this friday, february 1, but that may change.
I look forward to seeing your submissions.

Raising an eyebrow from across the tavern, a man in a wide brimmed hat grins readily and slurs slightly, "Adventure? Well Cayden told me to look for some of that... I'm in if you'll have me."

--------------------
Travelworn, balding beneath his wide-brimmed hat, bearded and jovial, this man has an easy grin on his face even when sleeping. With a sturdy build and a serious, but kind, face there is a familiar solidness about him. His travelling gear is all well kept and purely functional and you get the feeling that he rarely sleeps under the same roof more than one night in a row. An exceptionally large symbol of Cayden Cailean hangs from a sturdy leather cord hung about his shoulders, and you aren't sure if the whiff of whiskey about him is off his breath or or from that all too functional seaming mug. The readiness of his grin and a slight glassiness about the eyes reassure you that this apparent priest of the Lucky Drunk is readily about the business of his deity.
Brother Felinros spent the past twelve years of his life wandering Golarian by foot, mostly in an extended pub crawl. Working as a courier, teamster, porter, messenger, or whatever else kept enough coin in his pocket to continue his travels and enjoy a good drink or several at the end of the day. Over the past few years, however, some of the darkness and oppression he has witnessed in his travels have caught in the young Varasian's craw a bit. Slavery, bigotry, dictatorships, oligarchy, and other social ills that he had often ignored have grown in the back of his mind until his conscience simply couldn't bare to allow him to wander obliviously any longer. Felinros began helping the oppressed as he could, aiding the poor, helping servants escape harsh masters and even freeing a few slaves illegally. As the greater good became more and more the driving force behind his travels, a clarity settled upon him through the will of Cayden Cailean. The way of the Lucky Drunk had been Felinros's lifestyle for sometime, but now he pursued it with a zeal, and Cailean answered with a true calling, imbuing Felinros with a the gift of the gab and furious need to challenge those who oppress as he travelled the world.
Felinros, now donning the title Brother as a brother to all who need his aid, began to speak with a divinely sincere sense of humor that endeared those he met. Coupled with the holy gifts of spells and healing that the Lucky Drunk bestowed upon him, Brother Felinros formally joined the Andoran sect of the Pathfinders to give additional purpose to his travels, to fight oppression and dictatorships directly and indirectly, wherever he encountered them. So, generally with a heady buzz from the whiskey he sips throughout the day from his holy symbol, Brother Felinros looks forward to wandering adventure with a new zeal, and a burning fury to bring justice and joy to the world around him.
Some other priest of Cayden Cailean look askance at Brother Felinros due to his odd penchant for talking of his deity like they are old drinking buddies. Felinros often refers things "that Cayden always says" and doesn't show quite the reverence that some priests expect. However, he still channels strong and the spells still come, and he sees that as proof that the Lucky Drunk does consider Brother Felinros a drinking buddy.

This halfling in bright colors executes a swift bow and bobs upright again.
"I see the good priest of Cayden Ceilean's arrived before me! But if there's room for two who follow the heavens, then consider me for this journey of yours. Surely the Lucky Drunk doesn't begrudge traveling companions!
"I'm young yet but I can staunch a wound, and any journey benefits from one with a good heart in service of the Walker of the Worlds, aye?"
[[Skipper's sheet is in his profile. I've applied with him to another game, but he may not be accepted for that being only level 1, so....]]

that's three clerics so far.
Skipper Daytripper, if that other society game takes you let me know because by the rules your character can only be active in one game at a time.
Yep, hence my disclaimer. :) I'll give that one priority if I get accepted for it since I apped first, but I figured it didn't hurt to throw my holy symbol in the ring.
Usually the problem at my tables is not ENOUGH healing!

Three very different clerics. Nice to see the breadth and variety of the class on display.
Actually, Brother Felinros and Skipper are BOTH Varisian Pilgrim, Clerics. :D Different gods, but yeah, we're much more similar to each other than to you. Skipper will just hide behind the smiting Crusader. ;)
I've wanted to run an all-cleric (or at least all-divine-class) campaign for a while now. If I'm accepted for this, maybe seeing the interplay will give me some ideas on what I want in it...

A tall, shaven-headed elf in robes enters and nods gravely in greeting, the raven perched on his shoulder executing a perfect replica of the motion. "There are worse places in which to find one's-self, to be sure. A glass of wine, if you would? And a few scraps of raw meat for Vestri." The raven bobs its head and caws.

A ebonfeathered Tengu steps into the room, throws a furtive glance around, and takes a seat in the corner after giving a muffled "Greetings". He seems reluctant to make eye contact, though to be fair most seem to be having difficulty pinpointing where his Avian gaze lies.

Definitely interested. Here's my Ulfen Warrior :)
Torgil Ragnarsson
Male NG Human (Ulfen) Fighter, Level 1, Init +6, HP 13/13, Speed 20
AC 18, Touch 12, Flat-footed 16, Fort +6, Ref +2, Will +1, Base Attack Bonus 1
Battleaxe +5 (1d8+3, x3)
Throwing Axe (2) +3 (1d6+3, x2)
Scale mail, Light Wooden Shield (+5 Armor, +1 Shield, +2 Dex)
Abilities Str 16, Dex 14, Con 16, Int 10, Wis 12, Cha 8
Condition None
Torgil is a towering hulk of a man, muscular with heavy shoulders and long arms. His hair is long, ginger and tinting to copper, most often flowing free with a few small braids in the midst. He has a full beard and moustache several inches long, which is usually braided aswell. His eyes are large and light blue in color. A small scar shoots from his upper lip towards his left eye, about an inch long.
Torgil seems like a serious man when you meet him on business or travelling, and he generally doesn't like to mingle with strangers (unless he has already downed a few big mugs of ale). He is a young man weighed with a big responsibility, when he would rather just run in the wilderness, hunt game and swim in the crystal clear mountain lakes. Do stuff that young men do, without a worry in the world and some day find a nice lass, build a house and live a simple life with his family. But all that was never meant for him.
As it happens, Torgil is the firstborn of a chieftain of a small tribe near Bildt and as such, destined to take his father's place when he dies or steps down from his position. When Torgil turned 18, his father told him he needs to go out in the world and learn about the other people living in there, about the world. He told him to only come back when he could say that he understands, but did not explain what it was Torgil needs to understand. Torgil argued with his father and practically told him he did not want to become the chieftain, to which his father replied that it was exactly why he needed to leave and see the world.
So Torgil left behind his village, his friends and his family and headed south. Ever since, he has been travelling the world, seeking adventure and learning about the people of Golarion. Recently, he arrived in Absalom and noticed a recruitment poster. Pathfinder Society sounded like the perfect opportunity to learn more and finally, understand whatever he needed to understand in order to return home.

Arjunta is a bit of a strange duck. Born to two traveling Shoanti "ambassadors" in Absalom, he was raised to cherish the old ways and traditions of his people. He has been tattooed, scarred, and tested as best as possible while away from the ancient lands of his people.
He knows his history and the general traditions of his people, but has yet to really live up on the plateau. He adventures with the Pathfinders with the intention of acquiring lost knowledge, experience, and of course, powerful magical items to assist his future explorations.

Almost there, if more apply I may open up to three threads. I can do this one of two ways. You can be divided up for balance and who will get along better or I can do it based on first come first serve. Input?

I'd advise you not to try to run more than two games at once, personally, though of course you may have way more time, organizational skills, and energy than I do. ;)
And why not just take them in order, the way we'd be playing if we sat down at a convention table? I would be somewhat worried about the lack of skilled classes in the first group of six, where I am, but heck, there aren't that many skill points spread across the whole applicant pool! No love for rogues or bards, looks like.

Yeah, I noticed the lack of skilled/support classes. It's usually clerics that are lacking. Too bad I can't play in my own thread. I usually plays monks and bards.
My only concern is the lack of healing in the second group, save for an alchemist.

![]() |

I'd personally suggest splitting up Skipper (myself) and Brother Felinros since not only are we both clerics, we're the same archetype, so our caravan bonds will overlap a little with each other. Not that that is really a problem, but if the second group needs healing perhaps one of us can go over that-a-way.
Just my two cents, I'll be happy with whichever.

@DaWay, this Secondsight. Here's the submission I mentioned earlier.
Clearly these groups are woefully lacking in overconfident barbarian grapplers!
Zoltan throws back the remaining 3/4th's of his flagon of ale and roars, [b]by Cayden Cailean himself, why'r we waitin' here. Let's be off and see what this grand world has to offer! The barstool shudders as the 300 pound man launches of it and makes a beeline for the door.
If possible (and if we're both accepted!), I'd like to end up in group with Brother Felinros. Good synergy.

Group 1

Vanyel
Shinkeer Aswander
Arjunta
Mathias Kelythis
Group 2
Skipper Daytripper
Tar Starksson

I was grouping according to balance and synergy where I could. So there are Shoanti's together, Ulfen's together, and similar worshippers.
