"We will need all the magic at our disposal....if it comes to that. She is spectral, only half in this world, half beyond our reach. We sent the previous ghost off with a ring, perhaps a similar bargain can be reached?...if she would even delay to hear us that is..."

Sorry everyone, I've been without net.
Sable remained quiet throughout the discussion of the banshee. "I will speak to her, if no one else will. She is Elven, but in her current plumage who can say if she belonged to my surface kin or our darker cousins... If we are to sing her back to Pharasma's nest, let it come from the tongue of elves," Glancing towards some of the flock, and smiles. "Or elf-kin."

Bravely Winter leads your small group out of the tower back into the grand hall - it takes the banshee only a split second to feel your presence and so she wheels around to face you.
The mask of hatred and rage on her face is so grotesquely evil that you nearly stumble back into the tower, yet she does not attack...at least not at once.
Hovering above a broken stone bench she seems to assess you and the situation and does not make a move.
Winter Snow
Yeah we didn't come for a chat - Pre buff was Protection from Evil on Kabal too :P
Winter indicates to stay close as he pushes forward, blade in hand to get the job done.
Her expression is a mask of hatred and rage, but Winters is that of the implacable wrath of Heaven.
/smite evil
Attack 1d20 + 7 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 7 + 3 = 28
Damage 2d6 + 9 + 8 ⇒ (4, 6) + 9 + 8 = 27 No DR etc :) Love Smite

Heart thundering as hard and as loud the groups booted feet hitting the paved stones lining the Great Hall's floor as they raced towards the ghost; Kabal came to a sudden stop with his falcata raised.
What the?.. Whered she?.. Damn it!
He spun in a circle waiting for the spirit to return and ounce on them.
Sebastian DeGray
"I have no means for such sight. In theory, I can perhaps outline her form in dust...but if she is amongst us, it has the benefit -slash- drawback of blinding her -slash- and us. So I am hesitant to unleash it on top of us where Winter slashed her."
Kabal Breven
All Kabal wanted to do was get some much needed... and damn deserved rest... and the only thing keeping him from it was the hunt for... some ghost b++#!... Which naturally meant it was all her fault to the Brevian; which also naturally meant that... We gotta kill this hag pronto...
Just point the way priest.

Winter still feels an evil presence, but it is much weaker...as he takes a moment longer to focus on his supernatural powers, he is able to pinpoint the direction this other aura is coming from - the tower into which the ball of light fled.
Stay or flee?
Mercus asks impatiently, throwing a piece of rubble at one of the shocker lizards that snuck within a distance of only a couple of feet from you.
Winter Snow
Different presence? Not interested in the wisp. We aren't fleeing anywhere, we are rooting this Banshee out and smacking it insensible. Pull the place apart brick by brick if we must.
Sable Eboncrow

"If she lingers here so should we, but if she has flown elsewhere we should follow. By talon or song we should lay her to rest, I want her guided by Blackfeather to Pharasma before we turn in for the evening. Again, there is more going on in this pigeon coop than we are aware of."
Kabal Breven
Kabal's frown grew deeper as his anger grew hotter.
Wait, so both the ball of light and this hag b~$$* both went towards the that tower? Somebody's trying to get us in there something fierce. Let's oblige them then and get this crap over with.
Kabal lead the way towards the tower.
Sebastian DeGray
"Maybe she was just a figment from the wisp, perhaps created to scare us. It might explain how it was silent and dispatched with such ease."
Sebastian stays close, his bow ready, clearly looking like he was not convinced the banshee was so easily dismissed.

"Jefferson's my boss. Well, I guess he was my boss, before I fell in with this lot. I guess I never told you properly, did I? I'm a bounty hunter, by trade. Jefferson finds me and the others the work, we bring 'em in usually alive, and get paid. I'm not just a Riddleport street rat, ya know?"
DM Zyren / Heart of Riddles
The chamber beyond the door is a half-dome projecting out from the conservatory, decorated with overgrown scenes of elves attending to everyday activities accompanied by musicians.
Something glitters among these reliefs . High on the dome, nearly thirty feet overhead, the ceiling - spider-webbed with deep cracks - lets in moonlight and hanging vines.
About 25 ft. away from you, on one of the stone benches, rests the ball of light you have spotted earlier.
Winter Snow
"I was looking forward to the Banshee" Winter sighs, almost disappointed. He strides forward, sword in hand, "Lets get this obe over with too, these creatures are starting to draw upon my patience"
DM Zyren / Heart of Riddles
Drwaing closer you are able to make out the outlines of an elvish girl inside the globe of light - yet, it is not like she was in a cocoon, the light rather emanantes from her body and forms a ball around her.
She seems to weep silently and has her face covered with her hands. Her body seems thin and frail and her skin is as white as porcellain.
Mercus looks at Winter and arches an eyebrow
That does not look like an evil spirit we have to fear, does it?
Winter Snow
Winter is growing almost as tired of Mercus as he is of the monsters "Do I look afraid to you Mercus?"; he advances upon the creature sword in hand looking to exorcise it from this place.
Chop chop chop, Winter is in and at the thing! Huzzah!
Sebastian DeGray
[i]Foxfire or Banshee?...or are they the same?...oh, this could be a fabulous study. His interest piqued, he calls out, "Maybe, she wants to be exercised?...just not so violently...she did not attack us yet."
Bree Longfield
Bree seems to be a bit uneasy as she sees the weeping girl's image, "Maybe we should try talking to her, maybe she knows where Brandon is?"
Sable caresses Korax's feathers in thought, intrigued by the figure before him. Gently he reminds Winter, that he is more than willing to try to converse with the apparition, that perhaps seeing a familiar elven form and hearing a familiar tongue might help to soothe the matter.
DM Zyren / Heart of Riddles
The girl takes her hands off her face and looks at Sebastian, her eyes an opal sea of milk. When she opens her mouth, it sounds like leaves rustling in the wind and her breath is as cold as an icy gale, biting at your skin.
I was with mommy, we were on our way to the market when suddenly everyone was screaming...I tried to hold her hand, but someone ran right into me and then I couldn't see her anymore...and then...and then there was fire...everywhere fire...for a glimpse people screamed but then there was only hissing that somehow sounded like a melody...
Kabal Breven
Kabal was having a hard time justifying attacking the ball of light... its just a little girl for crying out loud... and was glad that Sebastian seemed to be getting somewhere by talking to it... if that thing so much as twitched wrong though... damn...
