Runa |
Úlf glances down to Runa, thinking on her question for a moment before responding. Jeg bryr meg ikke om det fremdeles er festet til skuldrene når vi gjør." he answers, speeding his walk slightly to catch up with the bulk of the party.
** spoiler omitted **
Runa turns and nods agreement to the big warrior.
"Men nå hva gjør vi med dette høvding og andre nisser vi finne? En enkel situasjon har nå blitt ikke så enkelt. Vi kan ikke la dem vokse og tære på landsbyboerne. De har drept mange reisende. Hva er vår plikt til byen?"Zaladrel Orain |
Zaladrel looks at Namuril, patting the starknife at this waist, Always ready brother, always ready.
Omara Dalaston |
Omara readies her rapier. She doesn't think Chief Gutwad will surrender. She'll keep an eye out on the surrounding area just in case anything tries to sneak up on the group. And maybe see if she can spot Proudstump.
Just in case: Perception 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
At least it's not a critical failure.

If we want the tough guy out front in case of treachery, Úlf will lead. If you'd rather not open diplomatic negotiation with a six-and-a-half-foot tall, greataxe-wielding viking veritably bathed in goblin blood knocking on the door, I'll go wherever everyone else thinks is best.

I dunno, we are relying on projecting power and Bassa said she doen't want everyone else to die, you walking in certainly sens a message that we are best not messed with.
Úlfheðinn Sigmundarson |
Intimidate? Darn it! I knew there were better options than Profession: Ballerina!
Úlf draws in a slow breath, drawing himself up to his full height, lifting his axe to brandish it in a way that gives the distinct impression that the Ulfen warrior is not to be trifled with. He steps to the front of the walkway, just in front of the door leading to the chief's hut, then waits for the others to line up behind him before giving the door a sharp rap with his axe and bellowing in a deep voice, "You should listen to Bazza, Gutwad! Give up and we let you live! Do not and the next trophy we take will be your head!"
Just in case it's needed...Intimidate: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Omara Dalaston |
Omara holds up her firework tube for the others to see. "I suspect they have some of these pointed at the door. We could have everyone move away from in front of the door. Ulf could kick it in and then move aside. Then we can go in, or let them come out."
Zaladrel Orain |
Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Zaladrel will roll his eyes at Namuril and step forward, Chief Gutwad our warrior is strong! And angry! That you might attack him instead of talk. You have my word, you let us in, he will not harm you unless you attack. Zaladrel will shrug slightly to the rest of the group.

You have my word, you let us in, he will not harm you unless you attack.
Cinder's cragged lips split into a toothy grin. He won't. Its claws twitch in anticipation at the confrontation with the goblin chief, however it went. It doubted that the goblin was intelligent enough to restrain itself from inciting violence against the adventurers.
"Hurry now little creature. We tire of waiting out here."
Zaladrel Orain |
Zaladrel turns to Rhys, A yw hyn hyd yn oed sgwrs werth ei gael? Rydw i'n temtio i dorri i lawr y drws fy hun.
Zaladrel sighs to himself. You test your luck Gutwad AND my patience. I'll let my warrior and my DEMON decide if we will do you any favors!
Zaldrel waves dismissively at the door and looks at Ulf and Cinder. HE mouths the phrase "Up to you".

Psst. Zal. You're doing the Mark Hamill thing at the end of A New Hope when he says "Carrie!" instead of "Leia!" when he gets out of the X-Wing.
Úlf looks back to the others, about to inquire as to what they want, when Zaladrel speaks up, his frown breaking into a broad grin. Facing the door once more, he raps it with his axe again, harder this time. "You hear what he say, Gutwad! Open up or we open door FOR you!" he bellows, and just to reinforce his point, he swings his axe at the door, not intending to fully break it open, just damage it.

Well, I'm kinda hoping that we can just say it was a checked swing and he wouldn't do full damage to it, but I wasn't sure how to roll a checked swing. It isn't like I'd wanna do nonlethal damage to a door or somethin'. Of course, I suppose I could go back and say he just punched the door or something. Maybe. I dunno. >.>
Namuril Xae-Tal |
Namuril tips Zaladrel a wink. "I believe it's safe to say that more combat may be in order?" He readies his bow, eying the nearly-destroyed door in anticipation.
"Ulf, has Gutwad responded? Maybe he'll answer the door after our 'knocking'."

Bazza hops about.."please Longshanks..if you kill everyone Bazza be all alone"
There is no answer from within the hut now..however you do hear some frantic sounds and then a group of goblins burst from the huts southern side and clamber over the stockade (about a dozen off them all unarmed and running as if hell was after them)
"Ahh.." Bazza says then gives you a wide grin. "Ok you can kill chief now"
Úlfheðinn Sigmundarson |
Úlf grins at Bazza's reply, and after double-checking to make sure the goblins weren't lugging off any more of the troublesome fireworks, he shouts into the hut,"Time is up! We do this MY way!! and steps forward as he swings his axe again, intending to move straight into the room behind the door and give the others space to go around him. "Someone should go to back door to be sure chief does not escape with others! We cannot let him get away!"

The door though quite stoutly built wasn't designed to stand up to such damage and flies open one side falling fully to the floor the other hanging drunkenly by a hinge.
You see a, by goblin standards, oppulently decorated room the walls covered in horse and dog hides and skulls.
Facing you is an enormously fat goblin and three guards.
"Come and die Longshanks" the chief screams

Cinder didn't need to be told twice by the towering ulfen. It flies down the walkways to get around to the side door, roaring with the sound of a volcano as it prepares to unleash its violent tendencies.

Úlf laughs at Gutwad's taunt, brandishing his axe. "We will see who shall stand and who shall fall, little goblin!" He will then charge the nearest guard, hoping to eliminate the weaker enemies and remove them as threats before targeting Gutwad himself.

Omara and Cinder jump down from the walkway and make their way towards the rear of the building.Ulf crashes into the line of guards and one dies messily beneath his axe.as Naumaril puts an arrow into the Chief.Tavlor moves along side the Ranger and adds his Magic missle to the fray.
Sorry still lacking a map my internet was playing up today and wouldnt connect to Photobucket at all
Bazza takes the hint and scurries away leaping over the fence and heading out into the marsh after the other goblins.
Zaladrel Orain |
Zaldrel will hold his action seeing the group has the situation well in hand. It would be ideal to have Gutwad alive, chiefs tend to be the smartest and we still have questions...

Ok ulf can try that....
Namuril's arrow staggers goblin 18 who reels away from the fight towards the SW corner of the room.
Goblin 17 moves in on Ulf his dogslicer rattling on the Ulfen's armour.

Ulf steps up and smacks the flat of his axe blade against Gutwads skull as he does the goblin takes another swing at him causing a minor flesh wound.

...before removing his backpack and rifling through it to find his rope. Removing it, he cuts an adequate length from the end, using it to tie up the unconscious Gutwad. Once finished, he goes to the goblin he slew a moment ago, removing its ears just as he did with all the others. After packing them up, he stands, returning his axe to its harness. "So...Gutwad is captured. Should we return to Sandpoint first? Is still daylight. We could now go to ship we passed earlier..the one with Ameiko's family name on it. He will not be going anywhere. I say we take him back to Hemlock to taste Sandpoint justice." he says to the group, folding his arms over his chest.
Yeah...not gonna be finding much of anything...
Cinder the Eidolon |
The rune before Cinder's head begins to shine brightly. "Jaseve jaka ekess dout okarthel drekim di ixen. Begone de nomeno treskri halkvri dout tairais confnic tenamalo." Then it dies down slowly, as the creature dissipates away like so much smoke, leaving behind only scorched ground, a faint, lingering scent of burning coal, and the heavily-breathing form of Lissa.
