Male Elder GM

Grodar had nobody threatening him. However, to get into the building he would've had to make an Acrobatics check to avoid an attack from the orc in the doorway. Unfortunately, 8 is not enough.

axe: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 201d12 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

The orc in the doorway swings a greataxe at Grodar and gives the militiaman a significant wound as he goes to the aid of the people in the house.

Note that lifting the beam will involve full-round actions.

The orc then sidesteps into a position so he and his companion are now flanking Farmer Giles.

axe: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 4 + 2 = 161d12 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
falchion: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 5 + 2 = 192d4 + 4 ⇒ (3, 3) + 4 = 10

The farmer falls beneath the weapons of the invaders!

(I'm content with your interpretation of my last action.)

Zigil will cast cure light wounds: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 then move to touch Giles

Male Elder GM

Zigil:
I feel obligated to remind you about the channeling option (because I know you don't usually play this edition). The orcs are currently unwounded or dead.

rereconsidered:
Oh. I had assumed that channeling would bring the dead one back. But if not, it's worth healing Giles a little more to help Sara at the same time. So Zigil will raise her holy symbol and channel energy: 1d6 ⇒ 2. Thanks cursed Paizo dice

"Slei, stand aside (AH84) I have these filth," Eldan shouts as he moves up behind Slei (AH85) and readies to cast Colour Spray once Slei moves.

As Eldan pauses, Zigil steps back to where he can see Giles, and channels energy in attempt to stabilize both the farmer and the smith. 2 hp

Male Elder GM

Will 1: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (18) - 1 = 17
Will 3: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (10) - 1 = 9

Bright colours fan out from Eldan's outstretched hands, and one of the orcs slumps to the ground. The remaining orc steps forward to attack the elf, as Slei's sling stone glances off its head.

Gank!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 182d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 2) + 4 = 7

The orc's blade bites deep, and it shows its fangs in a grin.

I took the liberty of re-directing Slei's attack.

Grodar and Agrit manage to lift the beam enough that Sara does not get further burned, but it is not enough to free her.

I believe that was barely enough healing to chase away Giles' tentacle dreams.

Male Elder GM

Sorry, something slipped by me. Could I please get some Fortitude Saves? 4 for Ziggy, 3 for Grodar, and 2 for Slei and Eldan.

As Giles dispatches the last opponent, the group rushes in to the aid of Sara Morninghawk. With the aid of many hands, the beam is lifted up so she is no longer pinned. Choking smoke and the heat of the flames make the task more difficult, but after a few seconds they are able to exit the house, bringing her with them. It appears that they hadn't much more time, as the house collapses about 10 seconds after they get clear.

The smoke causes Eldan and Grodar to cough and splutter for a few seconds, but Zigil has a full-fledged choking spell.

non-lethal damage for Ziggy: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Slei is unaffected, probably because she is naturally better at staying low.

Male Human Ranger (trapper) 4. HP: 40/40 AC: 19/13/16 F:+6 R:+7 W:+4 Init:+3 Perc: +9

Agrit asks, "Please, can't you take us to the barricade? We will see what we can do about the beacon back there so you can carry on."

She holds out a beautiful gold necklace set with moonstones, with a pearl set in the center of it. "I insist that you accept this token of gratitude for your assistance. The pearl in the middle is a pearl of power, and will allow you to recall one used spell of the First Circle every day."

I take "back there" to mean the destroyed Inner Gates beacon, and if so, then we should head to the hopespring

Are you checking out other buildings on the way, or just making your way to the next gate?

I believe Zigil still has 1 point of non-lethal, and Giles is still down 8 hp.

Whoops "Hey Giles, good work back there." Pats him on the back (... with cure light wounds: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6).

I saw 5 nonlethal, 5 back from channel energy. Did I miss one on Ziggy?

And yeah, we should be looking for trouble on the way to the beacon, but I don't think we should spend time to search any houses unless we see something suspicious.

Nope. My error. For some reason I decided Ziggy had taken 6.

The group continues past the well in the middle of town. Ahead, a few trees have been set alight, and thick smoke is filling the path between.

Although the din of battle can be heard from every direction, Zigil can hear raised voices closer at hand in The Killin' Ground. She also spies a trio of orcish looters in a home to the right.
