Lanneth follows to where the white sword is and examines the marking normally and with detect magic.

Fingers working as his mind mulls over the new information and why someone would be painting swords around town.
There are many different components to this and it is highly resistant to anything but magic taking it off.
"Isn't that chalk?" Yorikata asks.
Looks like it, but then I don't know a thing about chalk
Every Chalk I know comes off with water.
Yorika looks dumbfounded at the marking.
"We know it doesn't come off easily with water or soap. What else is there to try? We sometimes used strong alcohol to clean things?" He suggests
"Anything further?" The High Priestess asks
"Thank you for your help." Yorika replies. "I don't think there are furhter questions now. We don't want to keep you from your duties."
Lanneth shakes her head at the sword and turns to the others.
No Magic... Should we inquire about Katrezra or interrogate this Omast? The later may shed some insight into the meaning of this iconology.
She absently asks the group as she continues to glance back at the sword.
Balder cracks his knuckles. "Interrogation sounds fun."
Lanneth, seems to know the name, but little more so asks the closest local she see.
You There, can you tell us where we can find Sargent Omast?
The guard looks up, "He is at the watch tower with the big sword on it Ma'am."
Lanneth sweeps off without another word to the watch tower indicated.
Dain tromps after
"Thank you." Yorikata tells the man with a smile, before she follows.
Balder stands and as the others walk off he points his finger in the direction of the tower and nods, then lopes off behind them.
As the group gets to the guard tower they can hear someone trying to sing but butchering whatever the song it, there are long pauses and as you get closer the sound of slurring is present as well.
A man is hanging from a lift scrubbing away at the giant white sword on the side of the Watch Tower. There is broken glass at the bottom just under the man.
As Balder walks closer he comments "Well someone's not going to get the best guard award. He's going to hurt himself."
Lanneth heads right to where the singing is coming from.
You up there! Can you come down and tell us about these white swords?
The man is obviously drunk, he sways on the platform and sings to himself, multi coloured cloths litter the platform and the ground as well. Upon hearing someone shouting at him the man wobbles on the platform catching himself on a rope.
"What do yesh want? I... I ammm tryin' cleans this stuff."
Come on down! WE WANT TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT PAINT!
"How would someone get up there to paint that sword in the first place?" Yorikata tries to open a conversation that the man might be interested in.
"IF YOU GET DOWN HERE AND ANSWER OUR QUESTIONS THERE WILL BE ANOTHER PINT IN IT FOR YOU!!!!" Balder yells.
Then leans over to Yorika and Lanneth "I speak his language."
Omast lowers himself quicker than he probably should to the ground, upon reaching the ground you can see him pull a bottle out of a bush at the bottom of the tower.
"Poor Rodrick that lucky bastard, I wish I had done more." Omast laments about the loss.
"What yould you have done to prevent that?" Yorikata asks.
Omast takes another long swig of his drink, "What did you say about more ta drink?" Omast sways around looking at the group. After a few minutes and more drinks he looks at Yorikata "Id a saved him lass, but that handsome bastard got himself killed." Omast falls to the ground, wailing and drinking.
Lanneth totally ignores the request for a drink.
That Sword you are working to get rid of.... what does it mean?
"Rodrick, why did you have to do it all alone?" Omast says angrily as he finishes his bottle and looks for another. Finally looking up at Lanneth "That is the question, I bet it was some half orcs, more and more of em are coming to town, endangering the lively hood of the good Trunain' people."
Stand up man! You are a town guard! Don't go rolling around the ground. So tell us more about Rodrick, what did he do alon?
Omast looks at Dain and takes another drink.
"Can't you sober him up magically?" Yorikata whispers to Lanneth?
Balder moves in "Speak man! What was Roderick into? What did he do?!"
"He did.... He did.. He didn't listen to me..." Omast looks around for something more to drink but there is nothing, he gets up and starts to stumble off.
Dain, being a dwarf, always has ale. He holds out his aleskin. Ooommast! Lookie at the nice ale, just tel us more about Rodrick.
Lanneth whispers back
I have one if he was smaller. See that rain barrel over there. I'd dunk his dumb head in it until he sobers up. But I think he's too strong for that.
Yorikata has to concentrate really hard to not explode with laughter. "You could make him small first, and dunk him then."
Omast crawls a bit before getting up and moving to take the bottle from Dain.
"He didn't listen to me." Omast tells Dain
Balder snatches the bottle away and takes a swig. "Didn't listen to you what. I swear soldier I'm going to drink this whole bottle if you don't speak fast. I don't have time to waste on this goblin dung!"
Yorikata rolls her eyes. "I guess he really is a case for Balder. I'll see if someone knows something about Katrezra." She turns and leaves to ask around in town who has seen the old man.
Omast eyes Balder with dangerous eyes, he is a well build man, not quite as tall but still strong himself.
"Ye listen to me, unlike Rodrik. Give me the bottle and leave me alone." Omast reaches for the bottle.
Yorikata finds many people throughout town but none of them have seen Katrezra or didn't know that he had left Sanctuary. Yorikata does find a young half-orc woman who is crying.
Lemme try this. Dain takes the aleskin. Omast, hold out yer mug Dain squirts some ale in. The more you tell, the more ale ya get. So where did Rodrik go? What did you tell Rodrick?
Lanneth stays with the two guardsman.
Give a shout if you find, him, I'll stay and see if our sober guardsmen can get anything out of this one...
