Guys, my home computer died. I need to replace the hard drive. But I will be in a three day class starting tomorrow. So my presence on line will be limited til Monday.

DM Pendin Fust |

I'm starting to hate technology. I had to get rid of source control (it kept erasing my work) so I can release this product on time.

DM Pendin Fust |

Sorry for my absence folks. I've put in 60 hours over the last 3 days. Tomorrow being Thanksgiving (in the States) I'll say let's pick this up on Monday.

Lirrathan |

Sorry for my recent silence. I have a business trip coming up next week and have been trying to prepare. I promise I will post tomorrow. I may have more time for posting next week depending on how good the wifi is at the hotel (since I will have nothing but time at the hotel).

DM Pendin Fust |

Ok all, I feel like I keep making these posts but I am so sorry for my lack of posting. I am still neck deep in work but I am getting close to being out of the water. I need this week, then on Monday I should be muuuuuuch more able to take care of this game.
Again I apologize and I hope you will stick with me. I promise to make it up to you.

DM Pendin Fust |

OK I am back! Still busy but it is settling somewhat!
Also, I'd like to encourage everyone to head over to RPG Superstar and enter if you've ever thought about writing for the game. You've still got a few hours left to submit!

Arc, the expectation of characters at this point is that they've become "regulars" at battle tactics. So I'm fine if you all want to work it out so you could cast it.
But, to answer the seeing question:
Sightless creatures are not affected by color spray.
That's from the spell's description in the PRD. Blinded would qualify a creature as sightless, albeit temporarily.

Arcessentes |

Very good. I somehow missed that. In Herolab it was there, but it was run onto a previous line of a different subject. So, he would save his spell regardless and fire a crossbow at a blinded enemy.

Sir Bastion |

Happy New Year All...
I am ready to get back at this game after the long Holiday season.

DM Pendin Fust |

Whoa I didn't realize today is the 9th! I have shoulder surgery today so no update likely, but definitely on Monday and possibly over the weekend depending on how recuperation goes.

Arcessentes |

I will be traveling for the next week. I hope to have internet in the mornings and evenings, but no promises. Please bot me if needed.

Sir Bastion |

Does no one have Use Magic Device or Divine spell casting. There are scrolls of CLW on Sir Bastion's body.
I'll need to see about a potion of CLW when we get back to base camp.

Sir Bastion |

Hmmm... I have no ideas for this situation then.
And Pouncing Tiger is with us or gone? As a 1st level druid, he may have a CLW. Not sure per his profile page if he did cast spells.

Sir Bastion |

I am staying...
I think we need more damage output, either sneak or 2-hander.

Lirrathan |

Do we really need more damage? We have a Ranger, Cavalier, and Paladin (mostly). Our damage is only low because we roll like dookie sometimes. I would think we would need more utility.
We only have 1 ea of someone that can use Arcane or Divine (especially items), and most of our skill set revolves around knowledges and perception.

An ogre bard?

DM Pendin Fust |

On folks, looks like we have 3 or 4 interested people. Who do you want!

Sir Bastion |

I am assuming on the skald, as I saw two skalds as part of his alias', but I believe the choices are:
Lily - Oracle (Purifier)
Aakon - Skald
Morgrym - Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager)
I am going back-and-forth on Lily and Aakon. The player behind Lily has made numerous post, so gives the appearance of very active. Where as the player behind Aakon only has a few posts. I was in a similar position with my post count when I first started, so can understand that situation. As to Paritosh comment, a skald or a bard, I am indifferent on that regard. Both have a bit of healing, so either works for me.

Lirrathan |

In order of preference, I would probably go:
1. Skald (if it is Aakon)
2. Oracle
3. Barbarian
We have three front-liners, so regular Barbarian just crowds us. The Oracle may offer more healing, but so could the Skald. And considering we do have three front-liners, the Bard song to add Str/Con bonus will help.
Personality wise, we have three stuffed shirts and Lirrathan. He would probably enjoy having at least one other companion that isn't an uptight Lawful type.

DM Pendin Fust |

I will wait for Arc to chime in then make a decision.

Aha, just saw that.
So we've got:
2 for the Oracle
2 expressing preference for the bard...does that include the skald or are you saying there is a bard (which I can't seem to see on the thread).
I'm more inclined towards the bard/skald route rather than the oracle since we have an oradin in the party already.

Sir Bastion |

Bring on the Skaldy.... I can't wait for the Raging Oradin.
If he joins now and starts a rage, Sir Bastion gets the temp hp, right. That would wake him up and he could heal himself, I beleive.

Aakon Huldraborn |

Aakon reporting in, ready to spin a tale most epic.
On my Inspired Rage: It does not have to be a literal rage. Exhilaration, enthusiasm, excitement, passion and recklessness could be alternatives to actual rage, provoking a physical effect resembling that of a frenzied rage. Of course in a way, they are all somewhat connected; but my inspired rage could be focused on provoking specific emotions in their audience :) Think Charles Xavier's advice to Magneto: "The feeling between anger and serenity".
I'll redo my character slightly for tomorrow as a ranged character.
