Captain Roger Stephens |

Roger grins as Lanarial is freed. He's been analyzing guard rotations and the possible time of day. As he prepares to share his thoughts, there's the sound of the cell door unlocking, and he double-checks that his chains will release quickly.

Varshana Altridge |

Seeing the last one freed, Varshana attempts to bring the guards in and distract them. "Big strong guards, please, I've got an...itch...I just need you to scratch. Come on boys, show me how strong you really are."

Lanarial |

"Yea - and my nuts still itch, too. C'mon - we know you wanna scratch us..."

DM_Kumo Gekkou |

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 3 + 2 = 23
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
1d20 + 2 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 2 + 5 = 9
The guard from before comes in once more, ignoring your words as he makes another pass through your cell block and to the door on the leftmost map wall His club is at the ready, and he holds a bowl in the other hand. The contents of the bowl are clearly hot as there is noticeable steam produced from it. He kneels in front of the reinforced door and uses his key to open a small hatch in the bottom, sliding the bowl through it and removing a similar empty bowl. The guard then turns making his way back to the southern door and exits through it.

Lanarial |

Once the guard is gone Lanarial quietly stands up and moves his legs and arms, glad to finally get a chance to work out some of the stiffness.
"Who do you suppose is in the executive suite here?" he says , moving to the bottom left corner of the cell nearest the door where the guard slipped in the bowl...

Varshana Altridge |

Varshana steps out of the "locked" manacles, "I think enough of this ruse then." She looks at the captain, "Well, big and not-so-handsome, care to lead the way?" She quickly looks at Elijah afterwards, "Or how about you, muscles? A girl would feel just oh so safe behind your care."

Lanarial |

Dagger out and ready, Lanarial blends in to the shadows and goes to listen at the other prisoner's door.
Perception 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Lukasz Pavo |

"Now that they have passed by with our food, it might be time to go back ans take stock once more before we go barreling out into the rest of the prison." Pulling out the veil once more, Lukasz once again takes a look at the patches still present.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14

DM_Kumo Gekkou |

Linarial, the reinforced stone door doesn't seem to let much through it, though at a glance you can see two locks. One for the door itself and a second for the food.
Only one bowl of food was passed through that door, the rest of you have not been fed.
@Lukasz, The veil is a Viel of Useful Items and can hold any number of things. You can take an educated guess from the picture, but there are too many possibilities to accurately identify it.

Lanarial |

"Maybe a staircase for the other side of the window you said it had? Maybe we don't have to fight our way out of here if we can make a magical portal right through the wall and disappear..."
Lanarial stays by the door to watch over Dargon as he picks the lock.
"Someone want to watch the other door down the hall in case a guard makes an inopportune appearance?"

Dargon Lake |

Dargon glances at the Elf. 2 things there. 1 Once they know we are gone, the word will spread fast and they will move heaven and hell to re-obtain us. I dont fancy our escape chances with all of the countryside looking for us by morning. 2. I really want to bring this place down around their ears. Will serve them right for the beating we obtained. Also word will spread slower increasing our chance to escape....My thoughts anyway.

Lukasz Pavo |

"Hmmmm. Why a bag of coins when we are expected to meet up with our mysterious benefactor upon our escape? To bribe the guards with?" With that, he pulls the bad shaped patch off while the stealthier one get a lay of the land.

Captain Roger Stephens |

Sorry about the delay, guys - really busy this weekend.
Don't know how Branderscar works, but if they follow normal prison procedure here, there should be a guard rotation within the next hour. Anyone have any idea what time it is? I'm guessing 3-4pm, but I was out for a while when they brought me here, so I'm not sure. I do know that we don't want to do anything half-cocked. I'd say let's find out who our neighbor is. Maybe he's got some info. Worst case, we can always let him out so the guards have someone else to chase down while we make our way out of this hellhole.

Lanarial |

"Trust me Dargon - the entire city will be looking for us whether we disappear or we slaughter everyone in the prison. We could try to mask our escape by freeing ALL of the inmates, but that will take a lot of time and energy I don't think we have. Either way, we'd best decide upon a plan and get on it - the Cap'n is right about the need for speed."

Dargon Lake |

Dargon looks to the neighbors cell Lets find out who he is first.
He moves outside into the hall and over to the adjoining cell slowly, deliberately, trying to avoid making any sound stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
he crouches and looks to the door where the food passed though, pushing it up a bit he says Yo, don't know who you are, but are ya interested in goin free?
he is careful to not let any part of his body be inside the others cell, just cracking the food portal so his voice travels better.

DM_Kumo Gekkou |

As Lukasz peels the bag pouch off it transforms into a 2lb pouch. Opening it up it is filled with a number of oddities that he would recognize as being useful for spellcasters. Spell Component pouch.
You guys should estimate it at approximately 3:45pm.
Dargon, the door has two separate locks, one for the door itself and one for the food slot. Both are currently locked. Speaking, you do not hear an answer.

Lukasz Pavo |

Continuing to whisper, Lukasz replies, "It is a spellcaster's pouch. However my spells are granted from the Archfiend himself and do not require material components such as this. Anyone else have use for such things?"
His multitasking mind working on formulating a plan while sorting through the veil, Lukasz also says, "I agree that it would behoove us to get to know our fellow inmate. He might have been here longer and have a better idea of the shift rotation. However, the Captain is right, we need to act quickly, as such, the plan for now with everyone unchained and the door unlocked, we wait until just after the next shift change to take out the guards. That will buy us the time we need to move without notice of our jailbreak."

Lanarial |

"Dargon - do you want me to stay here with you or head over to the other door to ambush the guards when they come in?

Dargon Lake |

Dargon is startled by the thump on the door and looks to the others whsipering. Who's good with talking down an angry prisoner? then he looked at the Elf, I think its probably best if you and Roger there go to the door and stand ready to stop any entrance.

Varshana Altridge |

Can I tell if the voice is male?
Varshana looks up from her recently acquired spell component pouch. She walks over to the thick door where the roguish man is squatting. She says in her most seductive tone, "We would never mock one so strong as you Grumblejack. We simply are able to get free of the cell, and would like to know if you'd use your strength to crush the guard, instead of us."

Captain Roger Stephens |

"Good thinking, Dargon." Roger moves to the side of the doorway and keeps an eye for the guards. "We have a very small window of time before the next guard rotation - I'd estimate around 10-15min. If this guy's going to be trouble, I vote we leave him."

Lanarial |

Lanarial goes with the Cap'n to guard the other door. He will hide in the shadows and listen attentively to the door so that he is ready for when the guards come.
Stealth 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15

Elijah Moore |

Elijah will take time to stretch out fully and get feeling back to his pain racked body. He looks at the manacles that bound him, wondering they could be used as an improvised weapon when they go to escape. He looks at the tray of food and wonders if it could be used to gain favor with the booming voice he heard from the cell next door.

DM_Kumo Gekkou |

Grumblejack's voice comes out softer. "Grumblejack crush puny guards for nice lady that let's Grumblejack out."
Elijah takes up his manacles as an improvised weapon. Unfortunately none of you have been here long enough to have been fed yet.
Take a -4 penalty to attack for improvised and it will be 1d6 bludgeoning damage with a 20/x2 crit.

Elijah Moore |

Hmph, I guess sex talks across all barriers. Anyways, if he is willing to help and take orders I see no reason to not let him help. What do the rest of our depraved group think?, he asks the others. Sorry somehow thought the food was our door but re-read it as the reinforced door, also do I take AOO from improvised weapons cause I am not really sure?

Varshana Altridge |

"Hmhmm, and genders my dear."
Varshana turns back to the reinforced door and says winsomely, "Oh Grumblejack, that is positively heroic of you. I'm sure my friend Dargon here will put his exceptional skills to use and set you free."

Lukasz Pavo |

Tucking the veil and the potion into a fold of his tattered clothing, Lukasz moves to check on the group dealing with their fellow inmate. As he passes where Captain Roger is keeping watch, he passes the potion to the man, whispering, "You might find this of use should you face injury and I am unable to reach you."
At the door of Grumblejack's cell, Lukasz asks, "Is our fellow inmate willing to help in our escape?"
