Hi all, Doug here. I’m planning to play Mafisadi my Vanaran monk!

![]() |

So, this is our party composition so far:
Doug: Monk
Topher: Rogue
Bernie: Some diplo/skill class (probably)
Simon: ?
Chuck: ?
Simon, what are you thinking of playing?
I'm still trying to figure out who I want to play. Probably either a tanky paladin type or a grandmotherly caster type (surprise, surprise...)
-C

Sorry for the delay, folks. Bernie here. I'm developing a GM baby at 3rd level, if you don't mind.
Viognier
Concept: A somewhat divinely wrought animated grapevine in the rough shape of a boy, bringing the blessings of Cayden Cailean to a goblet near your hand. He has his own unmistakable terroir that goes with him wherever he does.
Vine leshy. Currently thinking cavalier / inquisitor. Create wine as much as you could ever want! Grapes in his belly that act as goodberry. Yes, probably a bit social... ;-)

No mount.

DM Khel |

Hey everybody! Glad to see things coming together.
Your leshy sounds fun, Bernie. I've got a grapevine leshy who's a plant companion hunter, whose vineyard was almost completely destroyed in a wildfire. Now he's the Deputy Assistant Fire Marshal for the Pathfinder Society - named Smokey Burr, who travels with his faithful companion, a slithering sundew named Sticky.
Updating Chuck's list a bit:
Doug: Monk 2
Topher: Rogue 1
Bernie: Cavalier or inquisitor? 3
Simon: Alchemist 2 or hunter 1
Chuck: Shaman 2
I could ask around for someone to join us (with a particular eye to recruiting an arcane caster?) or we can leave it as is.

Okay, I've revised into the final draft: Swashbuckler/Cleric vine leshy. His creator was a priestess to Halcamora who created him as a blessing to her ally, Cayden Cailean.
Swashbuckler 2 / Cleric 1

Hi Everyone,
Topher here, I'm playing my Rogue 1 named Teehax.

DM Khel |

Hey everyone, I've asked Oladon, who journeyed to Crystalmaw Pass with us, to join this game as well. She'll be playing an elf sorcerer, so you should have most of the bases covered with this party makeup.
Will get a starting post up soon!

I haven't a clue as to how to set an avatar image for my character. I've looked everywhere, and the interface appears illusive.

That's an interesting approach you've taken wtih goodberry, Bernie. I hadn't ever noticed the duration being 1 day/level. So you really can have a stash of them on hand. I have a third-level vine leshy with the Grapevine trait also, so I can cast it each day and have 3 castings of it handy at any given time.
Very interesting, and even more useful than I thought. The healing is a bit limited, but I like that it lets you decide how many points you're going to heal, and it lets Viognier offer a very nourishing bar snack along with his wine!

DM Khel |

I will be camping next week, Monday to Thursday. I might have signal some of the time, but am not likely to post much.

Thanks! The Goodberry ability was like 100% why I thought to do a wine-themed divine caster. Still need to work through the weirdness of a plant person pouring him heart out to people, so to speak.

Hi all. I'm in a bit of a pickle: I had previously signed up to play Viognier for a module yesterday, and had thought this scenario might go a bit more quickly. He's now 5th level due to the module and some previous pre-gen chronicle sheets.
I could either:
- withdraw
- switch to a 1st level character
- play him at 5th level (I don't have another sign-up with him for several weeks)
Sorry about this!

DM Khel |

Hmm, that is a bit awkward. I wouldn’t want to ask you to withdraw, but I think playing a 5th-level character with this level party would not be very balanced.
So, if it’s okay with the rest of the crew, would you mind switching to a 1st-level character?

@viognier Your character sheet is super nice. Mind if I copy it?
I'm using a spreadsheet from Chucks, it's functional, but not pretty like yours. :)

DM Khel |

I'll be camping again this weekend, Friday to Sunday, and unlikely to post.

By all means!

I just wanted to give some background context on Grandmaster Torch, since I know Teehax is new to the game and probably unfamiliar with this most notorious NPC.
In short, he’s an information broker and former Pathfinder who has betrayed the society more than once. Fans love to hate him. More details can be found on his wiki page, which is surprisingly spoiler free.

DM Khel |

Thanks for providing the background info, Doug.
I need some opinions expressed about whether to accept Zurnzal's proposal or go it alone. You guys going to go with him, do your own thing, or just not post and we'll let the game fade away?

DM Chris,
Let me apologize for my slow posts. The last 2 weeks have been full for me.
We traveled to NC for my parents' 50th anniversary, for which both my brother and me needed to help out (Topher organized it).
Having missed a few days of work for the anniversary, things at work have been in catch up mode.
Then, Doug's sister visited us for 5 days this week.
And finally, I have a big project review this Thursday (audience is about 20 people).
I forgot to mention the baby and the remodel that's going on. The remodel is expected to be completed in mid-September. The baby is expected to be completed in about 20 years. Maybe?
I expect that things will calm down after the review this week.
I'll go whichever way the party decides.
-Chuck

DM Khel |

Chuck - thanks for the info on why your posting has been slow.
If you’re going to be unable to post for a while, I understand - life happens. I’d very much appreciate a heads-up (and this applies to everyone, not just Chuck!), even if it’s just to say you’ll be busy for a bit and don’t know if you’ll be able to post. That helps me to know what to expect in terms of posting frequency, and if I know someone’s not around, I can bot them instead of waiting for them to post. I make a point of posting when I’m not going to be around (though I don’t expect you guys to bot the DM), and it’s helpful if players do the same.
As for parenting and the remodel, I’m guessing the remodel will be finished first, though it probably doesn’t feel like it right now.

DM Khel |

It probably won't matter, as the Paizo site is rarely up these days, but I'll be at a local con this weekend and won't be posting much.

DM Khel |

Hey everyone - since we're in the final encounter of this scenario, I'd like to get information for chronicles. Please post the following info:
PFS#
Faction
Day job roll if you have one

![]() |

112382-1
Dark Archive
No day job
Yes, thank you for running the campaign, it was super fun!
We're a bunch of lazy good for nothins, aren't we?!?

DM Khel |

Okay, Kelevan pointed out that I misremembered the outcome of the Zurnzal deal, and you guys did accept it. Which means all of the chronicles are wrong, in terms of a thing being crossed off. But it has no mechanical effect, just a reporting one - and for a past season of PFS, so it kinda means nothing.
You all want new chronicles (which I’d pretty much have to completely redo), or you good with leaving it as is?

![]() |

I see what you mean. It doesn’t make a difference to me, honestly. As you said, it doesn’t really have any effect at this point.
Thanks again for running!
And good thing Teehax went back and got that dagger!
