Hello all.
Here is the sociopath, crazy person, tank. Full disclosure now, he is a jerk and if I offend anyone please let me know and I will stop. My fun should not impede anyone else's. With that said his conflicts are usually funny and make no sense.

Questions for y'all:
1) Would you prefer to start this on PbP GameDay 2? Offering boons for players and DM, etc... I've been told its worth the wait.
2) Would you like a healer type to join the Bard, Slayer, nut job?

Ok. Your healer is done. I had to ..shift my design when I read your campaigne rules. I actually have a Pathfinder Society character in the level range that can play this Scenario.. so I'm using her rather than making a pregen.
So.. here is 'Lady' Silena Dulare of Nidal.

Stealing this from another thief, not to be named...
To speed things up for searching and mundane things I will just be giving out the information.
Example: You state you search the cottage- "It is a meager little cottage with an overused and un cleaned fire place with some mats on the floor near it. There is two shuttered glassless windows that let enough light into the room to notice the odd sculpture on the small table.
The sculpture is made of carved wood and is of a creature you have never seen before. It sits squat with his feet grasping over the edge in a perch, its big bloated body has two smaller bat wings that come off of his back, and its face looks like that of a ocean spider, an octopus. All together the idol looks like a mix between a man, dragon, and octopus.
After inspecting the wooden carving you search the rear room of the cottage, there is a man hanging by his neck from the rafter. In his pocket you find the knife that is assumed to carve the idol. As you take the knife from his pocket a tentacle bursts from his abdomen and attacks. Combat begins."
-So as you can see I will be throwing all the info, telling you what you find, and starting combat. It is much quicker than splitting up having one person search the fireplace, the other the idol, the other the sleeping mats, the other the dead body. What would be 5+ posts is now 1.

Not ignoring your posts.. just trying to wait for the DM Jelly to post a reply.. before we go too far.

Silena knows we are not to reveal our noble patron that arranged this entry.. she is NOT claiming to be that noble sh eis claiming to be noble with the authority to enter. It will undoubtedly take this flunky some time to find a higer-up to corroborate her story.. she is NOT revealing to him who gave her authority to be here.. she is merely demanding that she has the tright to be here. Its a bullying intimidate check - a typical over indulged pompous noble throwing their weight around.. more trouble than their worth. Silena is playing off the; 'better to just let her have her way and let the higher ups deal with it later when they are available and not busy', in this case busy enjoying a concert.
Classically.. you want to be ignored make as large a noise as an expected trope that everyone expects to see.. it will cause them manytimes to dismiss you and not look too closely.. they think they Already know what your about and need no more detailed scrutiny.
Plus, Sile4na does not really CARE if we are eventually discovered as long as the data is recovered.. it will be too late to stop us at that point.

When looking at the map please use the compass located far right as a direction indicator. In this instance, the dots are basically right next to you.
In my opinion the authors should have stated the North end of the hallway yet I doubt you would have seen the divots at this distance.
Also, you should be able to move your character icons around.

Man this party is severely hampered by the fact we have no full arcane caster... or a true thief - too many damned traps and no way to really deal with them... this sucks!

Ha, I'm in a similar situation. Maguses get wizard spells if they pick the right arcana, but right now he's not exactly a substitute for a wizard with a bunch of out of combat utility spells, since maguses get very few of those.

1. Roger Wathen
2. Silena Dulare
3. 1446-6
4. Cheliax; Day Job: Pro {Torturer}: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Not a criticism of your skill of running the game DMJelly... but I'm really not feeling this Scenario. We search and search and search and no matter how good our rolls are we don't seem to make ANY progress! Its really annoying... and frustrating.
Give me a straight forward scenario with the requisite 3 combat encounters and the optional OP fourth combat encounter any day of the week.
I don't think this particular Scenario translates well to PbP format. I might have shirt-tapped a roll too which is not really possible in this game format... add to the fact the die roller is not not rolling anything over a 9 and we get jack and crap done. Not a lot of fun for all the effort we put to it... seemingly.

Zahur... do us all a favor and cast detect magic on that Bronzed Lion Motif Shield for Nokazi... its probably a Lion's Shield. Silena has already left that scene. Also.. Nokazi take those lion figures that glowed magical.. they could be figurines of wonderous power.
Keep in mind folks.. some DM's will scratch items OFF your Chronicale sheet if you don't actually find them in the game-play.
Which is something I'm not really in agreement with personally. As were this a REAL game... I'd strip the dungeon of ALL valuables, but you tend to forget that when your told by the rules of Organized Play... "you can only access or keep the gold granted on your chronicle sheet".. so you tend to stop worrying about grabbing all the loot and armor weapons etc. I think its kind of a unfair double screw-you to then scratch stuff off your sheet when you are only given so much time to play a 4 hour event and you can't keep everything you find anyways.
So let's just be thorough. I'm scanning around for all the magic we find... anything magical or valuable we find we take... just to be sure.
