Both solid choices. =) If you're ever torn about picking other 2nd level spells, I think share memory is a really neat, albeit situational, one you might do well to consider. Could be especially good in this kind of campaign for learning of terrible monsters directly from their too-terrified-to-speak victims! =)
Share Memory is pretty cool! There are soooo many spells that make me wish I were playing in some ultra-specific setting, or that witches were spontaneous spellcasters :) Like Commune with Birds.
I'm strangely obsessed with Lipstitch, it's some creepy necromancy and it's exactly what it sounds like. It will be good for silencing spellcasters, and way more dramatic than Silence! It's turning out that a lot of the spells Tibideau likes are from the necromancy school. How sweet would it be for him to cast Enemy's Heart? Super creepy. But Tibideau isn't evil, so that one's a no-go :(

There are times when I think the drama (pardon the pun) should preclude taking 10, but I really wish I could just take 10 for somethings... I was just telling my wife it is a good thing I can work numbers to help overcome the random factor. So it looks like I'll need four hours to teach Bonbon both of the new spells. If I even teach Bonbon one new spell, we'd have to wait til around 11 AM to head to the prison by my calculation. I should have taught him one before bed, but, you know, Tibideau is a little lazy. Anyway, both of the spells can wait until another day. Hold Person won't be useful in the prison with all the mindless critters, plus B'yelka has the wand if we need that spell for some reason. Summon Monster II will be nice when I have more spells per day, but I probably won't prepare it for tomorrow. So, I'm cool with holding off on teaching Bonbon the new spells if y'all want to leave earlier in the morning.

Mid-Autumn festival, where the eating of mooncakes is encouraged. I'm not actually Chinese, so I have no idea what the deal with it is, but two days off work payed back by a brutal ten day workweek to "make up" the holiday. [sarcasm]Yay hard working communists, yay![/sarcasm]

Harvest Moon Festival! I never did like those little cakes though. Much prefer the Dragon Boat Festivals with their zongzi.
I don't like zongzi, I definitely prefer mooncakes (well the black bean, lotus root and pineapple ones anyway, the other ones are nasty). I think Spring Festival/Chinese New Year with its jiaozi are the best though.
I love festival season in Germany: live music for two, three or sometimes four days straight? I'm in!

That's one thing I miss about Germany - the food. I spent my elementary school years there around Ramstein. I once lost a tooth on a volksmarch eating brotchen. Fun times.

To be fair, as Americans, my family always sliced the zongzi and pan-fried them with soy sauce. Not nearly as sticky then.
The zongzi I've had were cold and very sticky, also bland. My boss gave it to me, her mother in law made them or something.

Edit: Presuming Janos and Drosil each need 2 charges, that leaves us with 4 charges left in the wand.
Drosil should only need one charge. He was at 6 HP, I healed him 11 points, so he is at 17 before Anton uses the wand. That first charge of 7 HP should do it.
Dantrian, does Tibideau have a wand of Cure Moderate Wounds?
Yes indeed! With 19 charges. That was part of our most recent purchases along with Drosil's +1 rapier.

Sorry for the delay there guys, I was on vacation and got distracted. Should be back to normal now. Also at the end of the month I will be going back to school part time, so posting might slow down a bit. We'll see.

Yeah it was cool. It was an at home vacation, so I just ended up watching way too much TV and eating stuff that's not good for me. Heading back to work in a few minutes. I do miss my little students though, and it'll be nice to get out of the house for a productive reason after a week of vegging.
Edit:Also bought a sweet new phone, so that's cool.
