Most of the villagers start going about their day as you depart. Several begin preparations for an even bigger boom fest if you return. A few other can be seen digging four shallow graves and carving your names on placards. The Chief smiles pleasantly at all of this, and hands you the map.
The slog through the marsh is hot and miserable, with high humidity and a buzz of annoying flying insects. By the time you reach the stagnate lake, you are well out of sight and earshot of the village. The first river crossing goes uneventful. The second crossing is also easily done, however once across you notice that the thee canopy is growing thicker and darker. A few randomly spaced bones can be seen littering the soggy ground.

Glop look at bones that are littering the ground.
Glop rezmemberzes Slorb's annoying voice Lotslegs territoryGlop looks at the others and motions for a closer look at the bones. Glop pulls out sling from backpack and the pouch of bullets.
Glop looks all around and checks if can see Lotslegs.

The bones appear to be rather old and small. All flesh gnawed off. Small swamp game and perhaps goblin babies as well. Glops perception is not very keen, however she does see fresher and larger bones 50-60 feet up the trail. The overhead webs grow thicker along that direction as well. Oh, and one more small observation. The webs are gently and slowley billowing up and down in the wind. Not normally a big deal, except there is no wind blowing at this time.
let's get an initiative check, as well as a marching order or any special preparations if/when you run into a situation.

DM Iron-Dice |

Thud slogs the bog towards the denser hanging webs and larger bones.
Grimlek on toothlizard following several paces behind.
Glop swings her sling looking for a target.
Thok follows, trying not to be hit by Glops erratic sling "technique".
Suddenly, the overhead web goes still. Without warning a huge black spider butt can be seen poking through the dense and dark webs directly over Thok. The butt puckers and . . .
repeat

DM Iron-Dice |

Is the butt out of reach of Thok for a melee touch attack?
Ahh. My lack of clear tactical description requires a small fix. The webs are 20 feet high. So, obviously, by your actions, Lots-legs ACTUALLY, dropped his butt from the webs above, while his legs grasp a length of web-rope he spun earlier. Then puckered at Thok. . .
Therefore his butt is 10' above the ground, pointing at Thok, his legs are 5' from the top webbing, holding onto a web-rope. He would be in a 5' ball tear drop shape(would be 10-12 foot length streached out), ready to do some butt action then crawl back up. Depending on what happens now . . .
Thud throws his club up, falling short of Lots-legs. It falls back within his reach.
Grinlek's Toothlizard takes a masive bite out of the giant spiders butt. Icker and flesh coat toothlizards teeth as the not-so-scarry spider spasms from the hideous wound.
Lots-legs Turn
Lots-legs feverishly shoots up the short stretch of web to get back into the safety of his treetop domain.
Thud and Grimlek on deck after.

DM Iron-Dice |

Glop takes aim with sling and bullet. And fires at Lots-Legs as it reaches what it thinks is a safe distance.
Glop makes a great throw with her sling. Normally she would have beaned that nasty spider. Lot-legs, being tricksy, useless his web canopy for cover causing Glop to miss her mark.
-4 cover, bringing Glops shot down to a 12

Glop very disappointed. Looks around for a way to bring down the web.

Thok Burnskin |

Thok scurries over by Thud, taking out the Desan Candle as he moves. He points it up at the webbing holding Lotslegs, grinning madly.
Pretty sure that is the length of my turn. However, if I have a standard action left, I will light the fuse to the Desan Candle using Spark, so I can ignite the webbing.

Thok can make a 5' step and be in range, remove Desan Candle, cast spark.
swift, move, actionUsed as a weapon, it's an attack roll for accuracy. No matter what happens, the result is gona' be huge. Hang on everyone!

DM Iron-Dice |

oooh the excitement of lighting fire to a fuse!
Szzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz it burns. Beautiful flame. Enchanting flame. ohhhhh the loooooong wait. Then . . .
PEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! PEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! PEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
Golden silver sparks of flame, glorious flame erupt from the giant boom stick.
PEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! PEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
More of them! Dozens more! Thok tries to aim at the giant spider overhead.
PEWWWWWWWWWWW! PEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! PEWWWWWWWWW!
Sparks and noise everywhere! Some start to burn holes in the overhead webbing.
PEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! PEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
Some wink out. Others fly randomly. Thok spins in circles by the force of the fireboom. Still more pore out!
PEWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! PEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
More webs burn and smoke. Sparks and flame and sparkles everywhere!
then finally, with one last Pewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww it's over. How glorious the fire.
Looking up, there is now a smoldering, dripping, gooey dark mess of melted and burnt remnants where the webbing once was. Looking closer, the blackend soot covered form of Lots-legs can be seen clinging to a branch. The bleeding gaping wound still in his spider butt, but very much alive (if just barley). He looks ready to make a dash deeper into the woods. Perhaps to another area that is his lair, and to safety.
Lots-legs is 30 feet directly overhead on the underside of a large branch.
Grimlek & Thud, then
Lots-legs, then
Thok the boom king & Glop

DM Iron-Dice |

As if waves of stink could form together belching into a living creature, an eight inch translucent red winged pokey-stick'um with a six inch pointed needle face appears from Grinlek motions.
The winged pokey-stick'um flies like an arrow the unexpecting Lots-legs.
Roll touch attack Grinlek!

DM Iron-Dice |

The conjured stirge hesitates a moment wondering wondering why it is suddenly in a new environment. Grimlek's druid powers of touching nature *couch* overcome the blood sucking winged pokey-stick'um and it shoots off! Upon sticking it's barbed needle like proboscis into the Lots-legs, it pushes back quickly, realizing there is no blood to gorge on in the arachnid.
Unfortunately for Lots-legs the damage is done from the dagger like wound inflected. Gore and ichor pore fresh from this new wound.
1 hp maximun damage from the stirge. BRILLIANT move btw!
Wounded and near dying, Lots-legs makes one final attempt to distract the foes he underestimated and return to his home.
Shooting a wad of spidery butt web goo at his greatest opponent, he then scuttles slowly along the branches deeper into the forest.
[ooc]web net ranged attack at Toothlizard and rider 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
The web net shoots wide due to Lots-legs wounded butt shooter
Move 15 feet due to lack of webs.

DM Iron-Dice |

Glops sling bullet rips into Lots-legs causing a tear between the impact and the stirges puncture. Viscus black goo pours out of the giant spider and with a final shuddering SCREEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Brinestumps most nororious Goblin baby eater drops to the groud below twitching in it's agonazing death.

GLOP dances around -
MEAT! MEAT! MEAT! - TEEF TEEF TEEFYeaaaaaaaaaa Glop!

DM Iron-Dice |

Grinlek has a fang of Lots-legs Eats Goblin Babies Many attached to his, um, spear. Hmmm.
Anyone else grabbing proof of Lots-legs demise, please state having done so before moving on, otherwise the carcass is considered left as is.
About sixty feet further along the trail is a small clearing. roughly 10 feet in diameter. In the center of the clearing is what appears to a quarter hind section of a small swamp critter, perhaps a giant rat, laying in the center. Apparently ripped from the animal and dropped from above.
Curious is it not . . .

Thud THUD |

Thud looks unconvinced at the dead BIG bug. "Lotslegs taste like poison?" He decides to pass on taking a snack for later. As the merry little gobbo band marches along, THud pulls the superBOOM out of his loincloth and offers it to Thok. "Thok make fire and bigBOOM?"
Handing it over he is distracted by the sight of a tender little shank carelessly left on the pathway. Smacking his lips, he carefully peers into the tree above the meat for more Lotslegs.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Then chanting softly to himself, "meat meat meat, chunka meat, sweet to eat, yummy little ratty feet.", he proceeds to be the first to get the tasty morsel.

Glop_Stinktoe |

Glop takes Dog Slicer and cuts off Lots-Legs Head. Empties backpack and places in the bottom.
Glop gives big boom stick to Thok and a few of the smaller booms to Thud. Glop puts the rest of the contents back into the backpack ontop of Lots-Legs Head.
Glop take head to prove Lots-Legs dead and that Glop killed it. We be the bestest Gob Heros ever. Now lets go find More BoomSticks.
Glop looks at Thud and shakes head as he heads off toward rat feet.
Thud always thinking with stomach. No Thud - it might be a trap.
Glop looks around to see if any other Lots-Legs / baby lots-legs or any other danger.
Glops ears twitch - waiting for the next danger.
Perception Check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

As Thud scurries towards the discarded snack, he looks left, right, forwards, back, down and finally up. Up above is another section of flat webbing, just like before. Almost. Still at 20 feet above the ground, and about 60 by 50 feet total, there is one difference. There's a hole woven into one end, about 10 fee circular. Just above the hindquarters. Mmmmmmm. Hind quarter!
Glops ears twitch. Her super sensitive Gobbie sense on high alert. Her instincts tell her there is a trap. Bad danger, death mayhem! She look carefully and Ohh tummy growling growling, me hungry all concentration is lost. Looking ahead, she only sees the meat and starts drooling.
-Thud appears to be the only one moving(meat is about 60 feet from dead Lots-legs). Please describe exactly your intention and where you end up.
-Glop was cutting off the head, so she's been stationary.
-Thok and Grimlek, if you would like to move or do something that great(please post what that might be), otherwise it looks like you stay near Glop and Lots-legs while Thud runs off.
