Horatio Flynn
What's going on and have we found Dhaavan yet? Where is Adular?
Horatio continue to rifle the gear in the lower level as he hears Variel's question -
"We found them both, Captain-General," he says with a flat voice, his eyes grinding into the surrounding shelves, cabinets and chests, knowing clearly the value of unusual alchemical items and eager to find them.
"Meantime, the little whore's still upstairs as far as I know - Amen-set has her summoned creature poking around to see if it can find her and when we do I'd wouldn't mind taking her alive so she can live long and die slow," he adds, a strange light in his eye before he pauses to glance at the ceiling above as if gauging the potential threat before turning his gaze back to Variel "of course, I guess a bullet in her brainpan will serve just as well, too," he adds with a grim smile.
His eyes flick to Adular, then back to the others.
"There's plenty of ways to heal the lot of us all at once - and I'd rather hang on to potions than use them if we don't need to," he adds somewhat pointedly, then continues to search.
"Is there anything left to do here, or can we get the hell out?"
Still waiting on the results of the Archon's observations; on whether or not it can see the Caster with Detect Evil (assuming the Caster is in the room it explored) and what Horatio and Amen-set find on the first floor of the building.
Amen-set Neitaker
"Is there anything left to do here, or can we get the hell out?"
Amen-set turns her gaze from the group moving down the stairs as she hears Horatio's words.
"With respect, hatey-a', if you wish to truly destroy this enemy then I advise that before we return to our ship we should ascend into the heavens high above us and launch great fire down upon this place so that we may ignite the sand into glass and burn corpses into ash," Amen-set says with a calm voice.
Horatio turns from his search and glances at her with surprise.
"Wait - so if I'm hearing you right, your plan is to - basically - take off and then roast this place from orbit?" he asks, somewhat incredulously.
She gives him a strange smile under deadpan eyes.
"Aye! After all - it is the only way to be sure..." she responds.

The archon is in the room and does not detect evil in the 60' cone in front of it this round. It will continue to scan the room next round at which point it will have scanned the whole room.
Amen-set and Flynn head into the room (C11) and find a mostly empty pantry (C11a) except for a small chest at the bottom back corner.
DM Immortal
The cloud continues to push forward, moving down the hallway towards Flynn and pushing slightly up the stairs into the position Seijiro just vacated as he phases through the wall. Dhaavan calls from the pits of hell and brings up his foul creatures.
Alchemist Bomb range touch attack vs Amen-set and then Flynn (Amen set is also flat footed due to invisible attacker, flynn is not..YAY uncanny dodge!): 1d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 14 + 2 = 236d4 + 3 ⇒ (1, 4, 1, 1, 3, 3) + 3 = 161d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 9 + 2 = 246d4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 4, 2, 4, 4, 4) + 3 = 24 This Damage is Force damage and there is no save for the damage, but I need both to make a reflex save or be knocked prone from the blast as the first roll in the next post.
Suddenly, you are both hit by an explosion of force energy that seemed to have originated somewhere in the north west part of the room but you are unsure where.
The attacker is still invisible, even after the attack.
Everyone else hears two loud explosions from downstairs in the direction that Amen-set and Flynn went.
At the same time, the door to the room slams shut, trapping Amen-set inside. As the door slams, a gas begins to fill the room.
Flynn, you can make another reflex save to try and catch the door before it shuts. Then a strength check to hold it long enough for Amen-set to get out.
So to recap Reflex save or be knocked prone for Flynn, Reflex save to catch the door, strength check to hold the door for Amen-set to escape all in next post in order given.
Amen-set reflex save or be knocked prone.
Thanks! If anyone has any questions please post on Discussion board. Also, you guys are up! For anyone keeping track of spells and such this is now round 7.
Horatio Flynn
Suddenly, you are both hit by an explosion of force energy that seemed to have originated somewhere in the north west part of the room but you are unsure where.
Horatio's eyes narrow somewhat and he shakes his head; his teeth grinding together as his health drops from 53/55 to 37/55.
I need both to make a reflex save or be knocked prone from the blast as the first roll in the next post.
Horatio uses a Swift Action to use Archaeologist's Luck; he also has Haste still activated, as well as Cat's Grace on for a net bonus of +2 for Cat's Grace, +1 for Haste, and +1 for Archaeologist's Luck -
Reflex Save 1 to avoid being knocked prone -
1d20 + 9 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 9 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 28
Amen-set reflex save or be knocked prone.
Amen-set attempts not to be knocked prone...
Amen-set's Reflex Save to Avoid being Knocked Prone with Haste on her for the +1 Bonus to Reflex Saves -
1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 2 + 1 = 20
Amen-set is now at 9:33 HP.
Flynn, you can make another reflex save to try and catch the door before it shuts. Then a strength check to hold it long enough for Amen-set to get out.
Horatio's hand reaches out to catch the door from closing on Amen-set...
Reflex Save 2 to catch the Door -
1d20 + 9 + 1 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 9 + 1 + 2 + 1 = 32
As he catches the door, he does what he can to keep it from closing on Amen-set -
Strength Check to keep door open -
1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 + 1 = 16
Horatio struggles with the door and he watches her...
Seijiro
Seijiro curses and runs for the front door to swing it open for the others to exit by, and hoping it lets in some fresh air to blow that cloud away. I'm kinda lost on whose init it is... if Seijiro isn't up yet, just save this action for when he is
Variel Nightstorm
|
Caught between the clouds but safe for now Variel moves north to the other stairwell creating room for him and others to follow as well. once there he waits to see what the fog does. If it moves towards him then hurries south through the fog to get the other side of it holding his breath as he goes.
move action to get to stairs
ready action to move south is the cloud threatens to envelop him.
Jamba Mumbata
Jamba uses the extra speed from haste to move to where the Captain is. He points at Rain. "You be comin' wit Jamba." Once he gets there and if Rain comes. "Jamba can get two udders wit him ta da entrance." To Rains cat and the other guy in the hallway. "Ya udders go help da priest an come down when da fog clears. Don't be openin' no doors."
He will cast dimension door on himself, Variel, and Rain if they agree to it. They will arrive at C1 on the south side of the counter.
+1 HP from Infernal Healing 3/10.
Rain Taneththir
In her mind she instructs Neko, //Tell Adular to stay put until the poisonous fog passes and then teleport outside.//
Neko nods and telepathically relays Rain's message to the priest, Adular. (100 ft range on telepathy) She then disappears. Dimension Door.
Neko cannot take any other action until her next turn. She'll end up outside the front door (past C1).
To Dhaavan she calls up, "Have your lemures protect Adular and the other man."
Looking up to Jamba, "We came to rescue him," pointing to the beautiful sorcerer, Dhaavan, in the hallway. "Take Dhaavan and Variel. I will head toward the front door." She adjusts her kerchief over her nose and mouth and using her haste Rains climbs down the remaining stairs (Double Move with Haste - 120ft) and heads back out the corridor they had come in through. What was that explosion? Hope Amen and Flynn got out in time., she thinks to herself.
Fort Save against poisonous fog when moving through it at the bottom of staircase: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23 (Fingers crossed that's enough)
HP 61/63, AC 23+1 from Haste=24, Lead Blades on Pike, Bless from Adular. Magical Pike has a 20ft reach. 3 uses out of 5 of Mythic Surge this day. Haste cast on her by Variel. INT damage 1+3=4 (INT is now 10), WIS damage 2+1=3 (WIS is now 11). Rain immune to magic sleep effects and gain a +2 racial saving throw bonus against enchantment spells and effects.
HP 28/28, AC 22+1=23, Mage Armour on herself (+4 to AC for 4 hours), Bless from Adular, SLA: 2 x Dimension Door spell out of 3 this day, 3 first level spells/7: Mage Armorx1, Magic Missilex2. Haste from Variel.
DM Immortal
The surging fog continues its deadly movement, some of the crew run up to the third floor to escape the fog while others had gone below to loot and try and escape the way you came. The green fog engulfs Flynn's position on the ground floor, just after he was nearly thrown to the floor by an alchemical explosion that came from the room where Amen was in. The explosion triggered some sort of trap that slammed the door shut. Flynn desperately tried to grab the door but was unable to hold it open long enough for Amen to escape the room, locking eyes with his ward as the door ground shut between them. Right before the door shut, he saw a greyish mist engulfing the room. His desperate struggle with the door was interrupted by the deadly green cloud however, his body wracked with coughs.
Inside, Amen-set hears chuckling as her eyes begin to try and slide shut of their own accord as the grey mist suffuses her body.
I need a Fort save for Flynn and then a fort save for Amen. Flynn, with a successful save you take 2 con damage or 4 on a failed save.I will tell you the results of Amen's save after the roll.
DM Immortal
Seijiro, did you leave Tomo with someone? The shinobi only works for you and won't make Tomo incorporeal.
Rain makes it to the lobby without incident, suffering a bit more damage to her health as she moves through the cloud however.
Rain 2 con damage for successful save.
Soon after, appearing in a cloud of pungent smelling smoke, Jamba, Dhaavan, and Variel appear near her in the lobby.
*EDITED ABOVE!
Adistan and Adular meanwhile, attempt to break through one of the thick wooden boards covering the windows, unsuccessfully at this point.
Horatio Flynn
I need a Fort save for Flynn and then a fort save for Amen. Flynn, with a successful save you take 2 con damage or 4 on a failed save.I will tell you the results of Amen's save after the roll.
So it's the end of Round 7 and it was Amen-set and Horatio's turn. They haven’t acted and there was no gas in the room or the hallway before they acted.
If I have to make another Save for Horatio then that’s how it is, but I don’t understand why he has to save a second time for the same poison after successfully beating its DC only two rounds ago, but if that’s how it is, then no worries, though for rules clarification I’m still confused why that is as I thought once you beat the DC for a poison you were kind of immune to the effects of being poisoned again (at least for a while). Am I wrong about that rule?
Finally, why can’t Amen-set and Horatio act before the gas advances?
Okay, those were my questions; if I have to make the saves first then I will, but I’m just a bit confused why I couldn't act first, that’s all.
That said, Horatio’s Fortitude Save –
1d20 + 8 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 8 + 1 - 1 = 26
Meantime, as there is a door between them Horatio will take his full Round Action to draw his Hatchet via a Free Action and use it to try to shatter the door (Haste still active) with his Full Round Action…
Horatio feels his rage burn as his ward is now prisoner behind the door.
He couldn’t leave Amen-set to die alone in the room beyond.
Attack One with Power Attack
1d20 + 6 + 5 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 6 + 5 + 1 - 2 = 17
If it hits the door –
1d6 + 1 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 4 + 1 = 8
Haste Attack with Power Attack
1d20 + 6 + 5 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 6 + 5 + 1 - 2 = 16
If it hits the door –
1d6 + 1 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 4 + 1 = 7
Second Attack with Power Attack
1d20 + 6 + 5 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 6 + 5 + 1 - 2 = 17
If it hits the door –
1d6 + 1 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 + 4 + 1 = 11
EDIT: I'm hoping that saves, but I don't know the DC - meantime, assuming it's a "Strong Wooden Door" then it has a Hardness of 5 and the HP of 20 - so I think that's 11 Damage to the door, but I'm not sure...
I'll have Amen-set's act up soon.
Amen-set Neitaker
Amen-set lays on the ground, knocked there by the force, and she stares at the room.
She knows that the enemy can not be defeated easily, and that she’s trapped in the same room as the creature and now she decides to act knowing that her hatey-a' will likely be dead soon, and she with him.
I’m rolling the Fortitude Save first, but I’m hoping her action can at least occur on the same time, if not before the Fortitude Save was required, but we'll see what happens next:
Fortitude Save
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
She feels tears well in her eyes – not at her own death, but at knowing that he, and likely her allies, shall die, and that she failed him and the others and that all of her efforts meant nothing weighed against that certainty.
Then she shakes herself out of the stupor of the foolish self-pity and acts…
Amen-set raises her hand and casts a Spell which ignites a pea-sized ball of fire that slams into the nearest wall –
Spell Attack
1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 13
The spell is Fireball –
5d6 + 1 ⇒ (5, 3, 5, 3, 4) + 1 = 21
EDIT: 21 points of Fire Damage
Reflex Save for Half Damage
1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 2 + 1 = 12
EDIT: Reflex Save Failed
Amen-set's Current HP is now 1 out of 33.
With a 20 foot spread it should effect anyone in the room, including the Caster, no matter where the Fireball detonates; I don't think she would have had time to heal before now, but I guess we'll see what happens next.
Seijiro
usually familiars count as self for things like that, but if not, he'd send Tomo after Rain and tell him to stick to her like glue.
DM Immortal
Flynn, there are certain effects that are like the way you describe but poison isn't one of them. Usually it's special effects for mind control or fear or stuff like that. You are correct about the green gas that is affecting you, that will advance after your turn but for expedience sake i just had you roll anyway. The gas that is affecting Amen-set is different and was triggered by the explosion and affects her immediately. Since she failed the save, she slumps to the ground unconscious for 1d3 ⇒ 1 hours before she has a chance to fireball the room. Since you saved successfully, you will take 2 more con damage, like Rain when she ran through.
Before taking the con damage however, you do manage to do a good bit of damage to the door. This door to the kitchen is a good wooden door and so has only 15 hp so one more good hit and you'll be through.
DM Immortal
Seijiro, sometimes that is the case but think of it like this, if you are wearing a ring of invisibility and you go invisible and you have a cat familiar next to you when you activate the ring, the cat doesn't go invisible only you do. There is the share spells ability which allows you to cast personal only spells on your familiar as well but again that is a separate casting for the familiar. There is a feat that does something like what you're talking about which is Improved Share Spells that allows a spell you cast on yourself to ALSO affect your familiar but that still doesn't allow a magic item to affect both of you. Hope that clears things up! :-)
Tomo is sticking like glue to Rain!
Rain Taneththir
HP 61/63 (54/56 HP now with CON damage), Fort save now +8, AC 23+1 from Haste=24, Lead Blades on Pike, Bless from Adular. Magical Pike has a 20ft reach. 3 uses out of 5 of Mythic Surge this day. Haste cast on her by Variel. INT damage 1+3=4 (INT is now 10), WIS damage 2+1=3 (WIS is now 11), CON damage 2 (CON is now 10). Rain immune to magic sleep effects and gain a +2 racial saving throw bonus against enchantment spells and effects.
Dhaavan
Enough of this Dhaavan snarls as he, once again draws upon his mythic resevior to See Invisibility
He looks around for the alchemist ready to point out her location, and calls out for his devils to back up Adistan and Adular, and help them escape
Variel Nightstorm
|
Arriving at the front Variel turns to Jamba. Thanks for getting us out of the cloud. However we still have comrades back there.
Turning to the rest, If everyone is ok then let's get the rest out while we can. Don't forget the real reason we came here in the first place. We need to find that woman and make her talk.
Variel hops over the counter and makes his way south through the hallway and then east stopping before he enters the larger room.
1 round of haste left after this round.
Horatio Flynn
The gas that is affecting Amen-set is different and was triggered by the explosion and affects her immediately. Since she failed the save, she slumps to the ground unconscious for 1 hour before she has a chance to fireball the room.
Amen-set is then at 17/33 HP.
Since you saved successfully, you will take 2 more con damage, like Rain when she ran through.
Horatio feels the sickness hard on him, but does what he can to ignore it, the wood splintering under his attacks.
Horatio's HP is now at 22/48 (after Con Damage adjustment).
This door to the kitchen is a good wooden door and so has only 15 hp so one more good hit and you'll be through.
As Horatio watches the wooden shatter he feels a rage so heavy that it makes him feel physically nauseated that he was so weak that his best efforts to keep a kitchen door from shutting failed as well as everything else he had done this day.
Enough of this!
Horatio's ears perk up at the sound of Dhaavan's voice above and he hopes that the sorcerer will be able to help him save his ward...
If everyone is ok then let's get the rest out while we can. Don't forget the real reason we came here in the first place. We need to find that woman and make her talk.
As he frantically works at the door he thinks he can vaguely hear Variel's voice from somewhere far away and through walls.
His knuckles whiten on his hand as he continues to swing the hatchet.
His ward is near death - he is near death - every single action and assumption he had made in this entire, gods-forsaken mission had failed dismally, including his most recent misunderstanding of the rooms and the idiotic wrong turn he took when he and Amen-set had rushed into the pantry instead of the exit...
If the Caster had been taken sooner things may have been different, but he had failed on that front, too.
As of now he had never felt so frustrated and discouraged in his entire life.
Whatever plans they may have had for this Caster, as far as he was concerned those plans had now been forfeited.
Adistan Temmer
Temmer glances over at his companion.
"These boards may be too thick to get through anytime soon. I think we're going to have to retreat through the house, unless you have any other options."
Rain Taneththir
Through their mental link, Rain asks Neko, //Try to communicate with Flynn or Amen. Find out where they are and if they need help.//
Neko sets to the task given to her by Rain and reaches out via telepathy to Flynn and Amen simultaneously,
//Where are you? Do you need help? Rain asks.//
(100 ft range on Neko's telepathic ability and I believe that is within range of Flynn's (and Amen's) current position. As a player I know Amen is down, but Flynn will be able to hear and answer Neko.)
Horatio Flynn
//Where are you? Do you need help? Rain asks.//
//We took a wrong turn going downstairs - Amen-set's stuck in some storage room by the stairs - the poison gas is still following us - poison will have us both dead very soon...//
Horatio readies himself for another blow against the door...
I'll take a formal action as soon as possible.
Thanks for the post, Rain :)
Rain Taneththir
No worries, Flynn.
Neko relays the answer to Rain via their link.
Rain informs those companions around/near her.
"Flynn and Amen are trapped in the poisonous gas and are almost done for. Amen is trapped in a storage room near the foot of the stairs."
She says it just loud enough for Variel to hear as he moves back down the hallway toward the stairs.
Turning to Jamba, Rain asks, "Jamba, do you have another teleportation spell to go into the storage room and remove Amen-set? It will be dangerous as I'm certain the poison has also spread there." Then another thought occurs to her, and Rain asks Dhaavan, "Can you summon more lemures to help Flynn get into that room and save Amen-set?" Rain awaits either answer before taking action herself.
Horatio Flynn
No worries, Flynn.
Thanks again, though! I appreciate your help :)
Neko relays the answer to Rain via their link.
Rain informs those companions around/near her.
Horatio still waits at the door, eager to finish things one way or the other...
At this point it's up to the GM to act.
DM Immortal
Flynn, your next strike with the hatchet blows the door off it's hinges with the force generated. The fog within mingles with the fog without, giving a sickly greyish green cast to the room and making it very difficult to see properly. You see your ward on the floor...not moving at all.
I need two fort saves from you.
---------------------------------------------------
Jamba and Dhaavan, you see the woman Zarskia appear through from where Variel went, her eyes widen when you both lock onto her, apparently she did not expect you to be able to see her.
So here is what's going on it looks like. Adular and Adistan are upstairs but are safe from the fog at the moment, but are somewhat trapped unless they can do a bit more damage to the wood blocking the windows. Flynn and Amen-set are in C11. Variel is in the hallway? Everyone else is in the lobby, those that can see invisibility see Zarskia enter the lobby, everyone else just sees the door open slightly for a moment.
Horatio Flynn
I need two fort saves from you.
Fortitude Save 1
1d20 + 8 + 1 - 1 - 1 ⇒ (14) + 8 + 1 - 1 - 1 = 21Fortitude Save 2
1d20 + 8 + 1 - 1 - 1 ⇒ (15) + 8 + 1 - 1 - 1 = 22
Not sure if the Fortitude Saves were successful or not, or what the results are if they are.
As soon as I know more I'll be able to take my formal action for the round.
DM Immortal
Both saves succeed Flynn. You take 1d4 ⇒ 4 2 more con damage
1d20 ⇒ 1 bahaha! Natural 1 on her save! Giving that a spell fumble for her for extra effect! Fumble card is...... BLEEDING EYES! LOL 1D6 BLEED DAMAGE per round lol! So she is blind, visible, and bleeding from her eyes.
–-----------------------------
Dhaavans spell goes off and the yellow brimstone engulfs Zarskia. The fell dust shredding the delicate membranes of her eyes as blood begins to poor from the sockets.
------------------------------
Dhaavan and Jamba rain asked you something also.
Seijiro
Seijiro hops up on the counter and attacks her while she's blinded.
acrobatics: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (11) + 20 = 31
to hit: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27 plus any plusses for blindness, or minuses to her ac for same, whatever
dmg if hits: 1d6 + 6 + 3d6 ⇒ (6) + 6 + (1, 1, 5) = 19
dc 14 fort save if that hit
DM Immortal
Jiro how did you get inside to attack? Weren't you just outside? You wouldn't have had enough actions to get the door open.
Horatio Flynn
Both saves succeed Flynn. You take 1d4 2 more con damage.
I'm glad I saved, but before I act, what exactly managed to poison me? I'm looking at the map and Horatio isn't in any poison gas - so I'm not sure how/why he was poisoned, or - more specifically - where it is coming from before he makes his move.
Speaking of this poison gas - When Adistan used the spell to force the poison gas in the room above both up, north and west the gas then moved to down, south and east - I'm not asking for a ret-con on the decision, but I'm just really confused why that happened via understanding the rules in case we run into a similar situation in the future.
Seijiro
I thought i opened the door previously... if not, he just opens the door this round.
Rain Taneththir
Last round of Haste?
Rain moves up 10 ft and from her position, attacks the blinded, glitterdusted apothecary, once and then a second time.
Two-Handed, Mythic Power Attack with magical pike, with Bless and Haste on blinded Zarskia: 1d20 + 7 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 7 + 1 + 1 = 28
Damage, if hits: 1d8 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
Using Mythic Point/Surge to get in a second attack.
Two-Handed, Mythic Power Attack with magical pike, with Bless and Haste on blinded Zarskia: 1d20 + 7 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 7 + 1 + 1 = 26
Damage, if hits: 1d8 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
Adistan Temmer
Temmer continues to try to free a way out of the room.
"A little help?" he says to Adular. "Perhaps together we can break one of these boards."
Strength check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Or not. Dice roller really hates me lately. Also, is the cloud continuing to just sit there? I feel like I'm just stuck here...
Dhaavan
Good Dhaavan says, smiling at the effect of his spell. Then listening Flynn as the man bursts the door open, he shouts for his Lemures to come down from upstairs.
Holding till the members of the party go, so my summons to mess up positioning, and I may do another summon or cast a spell.
THe Lumure double move, two toward Amen-set and Flynn, and one toward Adiston and Adular. THe third enters the south door it was guarding and tries for the window.
strangth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Horatio Flynn
Also, is the cloud continuing to just sit there? I feel like I'm just stuck here...
If you use a weapon to simply attack the shutters they should shatter rather easily, I would think. Shutters aren't that "Hard" and it beats having to do Strength Checks (quick aside - can't we just "Take 10" on a Strength Check? I mean, if you're not threatened I feel like you should be able to just push open a shutter or lift a window - I mean, I don't know for sure, but it seems logical, but I'm not entirely sure).
Also, Adistan - isn't your earlier spell still in effect upstairs from earlier? I mean, it does Moderate Winds for one hour per level, for what it's worth...
Casting alter winds to blow the fog toward the northwest.
If the shutters are destroyed then I'd imagine that the wind could just move the gas out of the building.
Neko the Golden
Neko rushes past Jiro by the front door and moves just inside, next to Tomo (and behind Dhaavan). She lifts her paw and begins casting (Magic Missile) and then points toward the blinded Zarskia, shooting one and then a second missile of magic energy. (The missile strikes unerringly, even if the target is in melee combat, so long as it has less than total cover or total concealment. I believe Zarskia only gets partial cover behind the counter?)
Force Damage from Magic Missile 1: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Force Damage from Magic Missile 2: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Jamba Mumbata
"Jamba, do you have another teleportation spell to go into the storage room and remove Amen-set? It will be dangerous as I'm certain the poison has also spread there."
"No more blinky, blinky here."
Previous Round: add 1 more HP. Cast flight.
This round:
add 1 HP
Jamba sees the invisible lady appear. "Ya a sneaky, sneaky alchy...aren't ya?!" He prepares to use his pearl to recall glitterdust, but his companion hits her first. "Good move dere."
Jamba pulls a doll from his cloak and jams a black needle in it effectively hexing the alchemist. DC 21 Will or roll 2D20s for an entire round and take the lowest.
Variel Nightstorm

With the commotion going on behind him Variel realizes belatedly that he left Rain in a precarious position. He had thought it was safe behind him when he headed back in. Clearly he was wrong in his initial assessment. Turning around Variel sees a glittering figure appear from no where. Magic missiles and pike blows rain in on th creqture indicating an enemy. Without stopping to second guess what or who,the arrival is Variel hurries back to support those he left and see if Rain is safe.
Once at the creature Variel lashes out with his cutlass.

Jiro, where you had used your incorporeal self to move through the walls, you ended up at the side of the building (toward the middle of the side). It would have taken you a double move to get to the front door. Which means you wouldn't have been able to open it as well. I had moved your avatar to the front door based on your description. So on this turn you would have opened the door and then acted again. But the door wouldn't have been open at the start of your turn. I checked this with Immortal at the time I moved your avatar for you after you had posted.
