We are using APG Hero Points, but not any of the related Feats/Spells. Also Critical Hit/Fumble cards (the GM banks a Hit card when the players opt for one).
The plan is to use all the campaign-specific rules (ie relationship & caravan) as presented, with the following tweaks:
Add one to a primary caravan stat per level
Caravan deals 1d6/level damage
The party may raise a primary caravan stat by each PC spending a Hero Point.

It will take me a while to catch up here, I decided to start this after a few sessions were complete.
Session Date: November 27th, 2012
18–19 Arodus, 4711: Sandpoint and the nearby Brinestump Marsh
On a warm evening in late summer, four old friends gathered at the Rusty Dragon in Sandpoint to catch up with each other over a drink. They also invited a few acquaintances to join them, allowing the newcomers to meet the proprietor of the tavern, Ameiko Kaijitsu, for the first time.
Shalelu Andosana, hero of the recent goblin and giant invasions, brought along the wizard Arioch, whom she introduced as her brother (in spite of the fact that it was apparent they shared no ancestors).
Koya Mvashti, Varisian fortune-teller and priestess of Desna, brought two of her foundlings. Caladrel was an aimless young elf that Koya had “adopted” years ago, while helping him discover a code of honour which gave his life meaning. Irena was a young Varisian witch who Koya protected from persecution.
Sandru Vhiski, caravan-master extrodinaire, was accompanied by his friend Skaaldur. Sandru and the slightly strange-looking Ulfen had been caravan guards together years ago. When Sandru decided to run a caravan of his own, he decided to help his friend find another path. He gave Skaaldur a strange weapon called a “musket”, and sent him off to the dwarves of Janderhoff to practice with using and maintaining his weapon.
After introductions were made and the friends caught up with each other, the conversation turned to current events in Sandpoint. Ameiko mentioned that there had been recent problems with travelers being ambushed on the Lost Coast road by Brinestump goblins armed with fireworks, and that the goblin bounty had been re-established. The four old friends exchanged knowing glances as they tried to speculate about who could possibly address this new goblin problem. The protégés took the hint, and decided to form an adventuring party and go exploring.
The next day, the party met with Sheriff Belor Hemlock. He promised them a bounty of 10 gold pieces for each goblin ear, with a bonus for the head of the Brinestump chieftain, the notorious Rendwattle Gutwad. They also asked around town about the Brinestump Marsh, and were told about a Halfling who lived at the end of the New Fish Trail who knew a lot about the swamp, as well as hearing tales of the fearsome Soggy River Monster.
Making their slow way through the fetid marsh, they came across some strange 3-toed footprints in the muck.
Eventually, they arrived at the Halfling warden’s shack. The Halfling, Walthus Proudstump, answered the door but seemed curiously unwilling to engage in extended conversation or let them in, in spite of the fact that he was obviously injured. Finally tiring of the party’s obvious suspicion, he transformed into a strange faceless humanoid and attacked! The combat, however, was short-lived (as was the creature), as Irena’s Slumber hex cut short its attacks on the group.

Session Date: December 18th, 2012
18–19 Arodus, 4711: Brinestump Marsh, Varisia
After defeating the changeling, the heroes started exploring the shack. Hearing a voice cry out from above, they discovered that the warden was badly wounded, but still alive. After confirming that they party was really what they appeared to be, Walthus the hermit expressed his gratitude for their aid by offering them a magical cloak and a place to stay for the night. Further, he sketched a rough map of the area and told them where to find the goblin village.
The group followed Walthus’ directions after rising and having breakfast. When they arrived at the Licktoad village, they found the gates had been breached and the village appeared empty. However, as they started exploring the raised platforms and huts, the eerie silence was broken by a group of attacking goblins. Skaaldur’s musket, Caladrel’s curved blade, Arioch’s force missiles, and Irena’s hexes tore through wave after wave of the attacking psychotic runts, until they caught up with the final fleeing foe pounding at the door of a larger hut near the rear of the encampment. Caladrel explored and found an out-of-place ladder leaning against a back wall of the hut, and was not surprised when he discovered a secret door there. Co-ordinating their efforts, the balance of the group broke down the main door while Caladrel slipped in through the back. Chief Gutwad and his guards never had a chance, and the party soon celebrated the utter destruction of the goblin threat.
