Male Tabaxi CG Rogue 1 AC 17 HP 17/17 Passive Perception 15 Init +5 Proficency Bonus +2

I opened the door an am talking to them so I am not sure I have a shot at maintaining stealth but you asked so you might have a reason I can't think of.

Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

Male Tabaxi CG Rogue 1 AC 17 HP 17/17 Passive Perception 15 Init +5 Proficency Bonus +2

Extra post ignore.

Male Tabaxi CG Rogue 1 AC 17 HP 17/17 Passive Perception 15 Init +5 Proficency Bonus +2

I hate double post.

ok, they say "Who are you"

Male Tabaxi CG Rogue 1 AC 17 HP 17/17 Passive Perception 15 Init +5 Proficency Bonus +2

"I spearhead an enormous force striking in retaliation for the kidnapping of Euril Kanos. You are spending seconds of what may be your short lives on asking questions. Drop the weapons, make no further noise than telling us where we can find Kanos and we will overlook your involvement in the petty overreach that Trmbleguard's ill-advised schemes have placed you." He simplifies it, "Cooperate and live."

Male Tabaxi CG Rogue 1 AC 17 HP 17/17 Passive Perception 15 Init +5 Proficency Bonus +2

That probably needs some rolls with it.

Deception Spearheading massive force: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

They drop their weapons and say "We don't know where he is currently"

Male Half-Orc Barbarian (Outlander)(CN)/2, HP 23/30; , AC: 14 , Saves: STR +6 CON +5, Initiative: +0, Passive Perception: 12; Rage Remaining 1/2

Rrath walks up to them with his Great axe ready to part the head of either.

Where was he then.

Male Tabaxi CG Rogue 1 AC 17 HP 17/17 Passive Perception 15 Init +5 Proficency Bonus +2

When Rrath begins to ask a question. Whispers relaxes the arrow and moves forward to pick up the weapons they dropped. He looks about what else might be visible in the room.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

He looks up, "How many more of your crew are here?"

He regards them again intently, "You did the wise thing. By putting down your weapons. Our secondary unit will be along shortly they will escort you out. In the meantime." He pulls out some rope, "Hands behind your back."

they put their hands behind their back, roll sleight of hand to see how solid your knots are
Remember that the lowest you can roll is your passive perception as well
"Well we are just the guards on shift, and we could not give you a number on the numbers of our organization, though they are steadily growing"

Male Tabaxi CG Rogue 1 AC 17 HP 17/17 Passive Perception 15 Init +5 Proficency Bonus +2

Whispers ties them securely by the wrists behind their back then to each other back to back

Sleight of hand: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

"Don't worry someone will be along in a few."

Ok
There is a doorway they were guarding behind them, and the door you came through

Male Tabaxi CG Rogue 1 AC 17 HP 17/17 Passive Perception 15 Init +5 Proficency Bonus +2

Whispers looks at the door, "This thing trapped or locked. Any key?"

"It is locked, we do not have the key, they would let us in when they change shifts"

Male Tabaxi CG Rogue 1 AC 17 HP 17/17 Passive Perception 15 Init +5 Proficency Bonus +2

Insight: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 Do I trust them not to do something to give us away.

"Alright thank you guys." Whispers cuts a bit off his blanket stuffs a bit in their mouths and another stip around their heads to hold it in place. Should be gagged.

Whispers also double checks for weapons, daggers, belt pouches, general valuables or other things of interest.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
perception going to assume someone else will help search them.: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

They have 15 gold each

Male Tabaxi CG Rogue 1 AC 17 HP 17/17 Passive Perception 15 Init +5 Proficency Bonus +2

Whispers examines the door.
Investigation Check for traps: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Whispers listens at the door.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

Whispers then picks the lock.
Pick the Lock: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

dragonborn(red) Sorcerer 3 (storm) HP: 21/21| AC: 13 | Saves: Str: +1, Dex: +2, Con: +4, Int: +1, Wis: +0, Cha:+5| Resist (fire)

insight for their past statements: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Ah!, ahem, well done my feline companion. An admirable job.

He walks over the two guards. and lays a hand gently on their shoulders.

Now my fine gentleman. My companions and I are looking for a specific someone. Now, I understand you have said you do not know much. However, I must formerly warn you that, if upon further inspection it comes to light that you in fact knew more than you told us many of our number would be quite, perturbed. And I wouldn't want that to come back and... burn... anyone now.
He uses prestidigitation to spark a bit of flame in his hand held infront of their faces to emphasize the point.

So, can I be completely assured that you have told us everything you can about this place? And I mean everything, the layout, the normal routine for changing shifts, who it was that hired you, who your boss is... or, if that is too great a feat for yourselves, the person that pays you. I hope that all parties can come to civil and mutually beneficial agreements.

intimidate: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Well, that could have went better.

1/2Elf Female Bard 2 | AC 14 | HP15/15 | STR+1; DEX+3/5*; CON+1; INT+2; WIS+1; CHA+4/6 | PPerc 9 | 3/3x1st

"Oh behave, I'm sure he wouldn't have risked his neck by withholding anything now would he?" She shoots the man a meaningful look heavy with implied threat.

Not sure if you want to run that as assistance and giving advantage or if I should roll, but I'll throw a die anyway 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

They hastily shake their heads "Hrmm hrmm hrmm"

Noble Dragonborn Cleric 2- HP: 17/17, AC: 18, Resistance (Fire) Initiative +0. Spell Slots 3/3

Chaq steps forward and pulls the gag down "You were saying?"

"NO mam, we would not think of such a thing. Now you were talking about having more, how much do members of your organization get paid? Cause it seems like there is a threat to our presumably soon to be ex-employers, and we have families to raise, so maybe we would be able to join the said organization?"

Male Tabaxi CG Rogue 1 AC 17 HP 17/17 Passive Perception 15 Init +5 Proficency Bonus +2

Whispers hears the thugs words, "Those type of things take time. You did good knowing when to stand down. Shows wisdom." He shrugs, "Getting a better gig than this." He motions to the surroundings, "Time you made another wise call. If you have families to raise honest work is safer." He looks to Chaq, "Perhaps there is something than can be done for family men trying to wise up with the church." He looks at them, "Making sure you have told us everything might go a long way."

When we are done with these guys: Did I get the lock open with the 25?

Yes you did open it
"We did tell you everything, we have no reason to lie with our lives on the line"

Male Tabaxi CG Rogue 1 AC 17 HP 17/17 Passive Perception 15 Init +5 Proficency Bonus +2

Whispers nods, "Good lads. Sit tight." He puts the gags back.

"Lets be off." He nocks another arrow, "Ready."

He opens the next door and moves in quietly against the wall.

Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

You see a stair case heading up

Noble Dragonborn Cleric 2- HP: 17/17, AC: 18, Resistance (Fire) Initiative +0. Spell Slots 3/3

"I promise nothing yet, but stay out of trouble and something might be possible."

Male Tabaxi CG Rogue 1 AC 17 HP 17/17 Passive Perception 15 Init +5 Proficency Bonus +2

Perception for Traps on the stairs: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

If no traps are found Whispers heads up the stairs.

You do not see any traps, are you guys going stealthy or brute

Male Tabaxi CG Rogue 1 AC 17 HP 17/17 Passive Perception 15 Init +5 Proficency Bonus +2

Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

Male Half-Orc Barbarian (Outlander)(CN)/2, HP 23/30; , AC: 14 , Saves: STR +6 CON +5, Initiative: +0, Passive Perception: 12; Rage Remaining 1/2

Rrath moves as wuietly as he can, right behind Whispers

Stealth: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

1 person marked this as a favorite.
Noble Dragonborn Cleric 2- HP: 17/17, AC: 18, Resistance (Fire) Initiative +0. Spell Slots 3/3

Stealth 1: 1d20 ⇒ 2
Stealth 2: 1d20 ⇒ 2

Male Tabaxi CG Rogue 1 AC 17 HP 17/17 Passive Perception 15 Init +5 Proficency Bonus +2

Whispers rolls his eyes and looks down toward Chaq. "Shhh."

1/2Elf Female Bard 2 | AC 14 | HP15/15 | STR+1; DEX+3/5*; CON+1; INT+2; WIS+1; CHA+4/6 | PPerc 9 | 3/3x1st

Stealth: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

dragonborn(red) Sorcerer 3 (storm) HP: 21/21| AC: 13 | Saves: Str: +1, Dex: +2, Con: +4, Int: +1, Wis: +0, Cha:+5| Resist (fire)

stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

Tibbs follows behind, again, not the quietest, but making a slightly better show of it than his kin companion.

Stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Murtin rolled a 21, the group ended up succeeding on the group check.
You come along a highway with 3 doors on each side

Male Tabaxi CG Rogue 1 AC 17 HP 17/17 Passive Perception 15 Init +5 Proficency Bonus +2

Do they look like normal doors or does it look like we found a cell block?

Normal wooden doors

Do you wish to check out said doors?

Male Tabaxi CG Rogue 1 AC 17 HP 17/17 Passive Perception 15 Init +5 Proficency Bonus +2

Whispers lets out a near silent sigh. Great lots of doors. He looks behind him and motions the others up a finger to his lips.

Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Perception for Traps: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Perception Listening at each door: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

You are silent as whatever is behind the trapless door.

Male Tabaxi CG Rogue 1 AC 17 HP 17/17 Passive Perception 15 Init +5 Proficency Bonus +2

So I hear nothing behind one door or all the doors. Because I wanted to listen at them all before going into any of them. If I hear people behind only one that is where I would want to start. If I hear people behind multiple that would make a difference how to proceed.

Ok, behind half of the doors you hear a light snoring, but nothing else from the other halfs

Male Tabaxi CG Rogue 1 AC 17 HP 17/17 Passive Perception 15 Init +5 Proficency Bonus +2

Whispers points at the doors where he hears sleepers. Then makes the universal pantomime of sleeping hands together head to the side with the hands making a pillow and closing his eyes.

Whispers walks to the eithers and says really quiet. "Sleepers move on or bind and gag."

1/2Elf Female Bard 2 | AC 14 | HP15/15 | STR+1; DEX+3/5*; CON+1; INT+2; WIS+1; CHA+4/6 | PPerc 9 | 3/3x1st

"There's risk either way... we don't want to end up surrounded, but if we don't gag them quickly enough we risk calling them all down on us?"

Male Tabaxi CG Rogue 1 AC 17 HP 17/17 Passive Perception 15 Init +5 Proficency Bonus +2

"One at a time in hand over the mouth sword to the throat. Gag and bind."

Whispers goes to the first door with a sleeper. Checks the lock. Pick lock if necessary: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

Whispers opens the door.

1/2Elf Female Bard 2 | AC 14 | HP15/15 | STR+1; DEX+3/5*; CON+1; INT+2; WIS+1; CHA+4/6 | PPerc 9 | 3/3x1st

Somia keeps as close as she can to Whisper while giving him space to work.

Male Half-Orc Barbarian (Outlander)(CN)/2, HP 23/30; , AC: 14 , Saves: STR +6 CON +5, Initiative: +0, Passive Perception: 12; Rage Remaining 1/2

Rrath again advances cautiously awaiting Whispers' go ahead to move in.

You pop open the door, and see 5 men sleeping in bunks
