Unsure as to why Armithia bothers to address the creature, Kardas refrains from chopping it up - for now.
Azarra
I did not cast invisibility on everyone for right now... but you weren't dreaming. I did cast it on most people back in the dragon battle, so that is what you are remembering. :) I have the spells... just it goes away if you attack, so not sure it will do a lot of good right now. If we have a clear goal later and need to get past something, we can do that. Right now I think we are just clearing levels and trying to figure out what to do... right?
Ishta Khosiv
Right, I knew I read that somewhere xD
Ishta doesn't want to appear hostile, but she keeps a wary eye in case this lizardfolk guy's mind is too warped by the obvious mutations he has suffered.

Heal: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (4) + 16 = 20
Zane eyed the lizardman with unease, his concern growing. While he felt a certain level of pity for the creature, he glanced at the many deformities and protrusions and understood that the reptilian man's mind was likely in bad shape, with all the pain it must be feeling. Still, he waited to see if it would respond to Ser Armithia, not wanting to attack a possibly intelligent being out of hand if it could be reasoned with.
DM Fang Dragon
The deformed lizard man stoically ignores Ser Armithia's inquiry, perhaps he didn't understand or perhaps his orders didn't permit him to reply (think of a beefeater outside Buckingham Palace ignoring the antics of the tourists).
DM Fang Dragon
Going to give y'all another 24 hours to decide what to do before I move us forward.
Ser Armithia-Seendren
Ser Armithia approaches to within 10'....
Spoiler time....wish me luck...lol!
God; Save the Queen? 42? Some made up elvish word for Open?
He grins.
Azarra
Hearing Ser start offering gibberish, Azarra moves forward, signaling him to shut up, and speaks.
Avorax.
Sorry, didn't mean to steal your word, Ishta, but it is our best bet, right?
Zane Levallis
Zane approached the hulking brute behind Ser Armithia, getting ready for an inevitable conflict. The priest almost smiled when the gold elf started spouting gibberish, wondering what he might be up to. Then Azarra stepped in and spoke the word Ishta had informed the group about on her reconnaissance and the cleric looked at the lizard man, waiting to see what his reaction would be.
Kardas Rasalas
The cracking of oiled-but-worn leather is the Raumathar's response to the sudden tension. He grips his sword in a stony claw and waits, hoping that Azarra spoke the correct magic word.
DM Fang Dragon
At Azarra's word the mutated lizard man deflates adopting a submissive posture as he steps aside and waves you in. The ground inside hums with the vitreous liquid rushing the glass pipework and out the side of the pyramid. An acrid chemical stench in the air catches in the back of your throats, and strange crystals have encrusted the area around the floor where the pipe disappears into the floor.

Azarra studies the pipework and works out that if she turns a pair of valves in a certain way that the flow will be diverted back downstairs via an overflow pipe to the pumping room. The results of doing this where hard to predict but she assumed nothing good would come out of it.
The valves where very stiff requiring both Zane and Ser Armithia to help and they made a god awful screeching noise as they where forced to turn. The flow of the virtuous ichor which was every color and none slowed to a trickle and stopped followed by ominous creaking from below as the pressure began to rise... All the time you where doing this, the mutated lizard man stared blankly into the middle distance.

Ser Armithia stands ready to continue on. The knight smiles at Azarra's quick thinking.
Azarra
Err... I think we reversed the flow, but not sure what that will do. ... should we break it *now* so that they can't turn it back the other way, or... should we keep checking out this level and see what happens?
Any ideas about how to free the lizard men?

Zane smiled back at Azarra after he and Ser Armithia followed her instructions and turned the valves that shut off the flow of the awful scum that was being dumped into the river. The smile quickly turned into a look of concern as the half-elf stated that the stuff could very well be backing up inside the pyramid, looking down nervously before saying, "Let's continue on this level, then and see if we can find it's source. If it's just going to back up into the heart of this place, it might find its way back to the river eventually."

Azarra
Okay, we'll wait and see what happens then, agreed. Ser, lead on.
When they are passing the lizard man on the way out, she examines him. Is he wearing any sort of collar or restraints?

There are no obvious restraints on the mutated lizard man.
Below you feel more than hear a series of dull reports, seemingly getting stronger and stronger each time. The last one made a little dust shift down from the ceiling.
Where about are you looking next?
Zane Levallis
Feeling the happenings below them, Zane hoped that whatever dark machinery was powering this disgusting pollution was getting destroyed in the process. The priest follow Ser Armithia out of the room, eyeing the lizardman in the process just to make sure the fellow wasn't lulling them into a sense of false security.
Once they were out of the door, Zane looked to the right and said, "Let's check out this area, then head across to the other side when we're done."

Before Ser Armithia could lead The Watchers of Dawn to the door, it opened and a pair of identical men looking for the world like mad scientists walked out. Each wears thick layers of soiled clothing with wild locks of blonde hair. From behind their glasses, their beady eyes seem almost ready to pop from their skulls. They are lithe and pale, with skin showing signs of recent injury and past self-abuse. Their actions are furtive, and their eyes dart about like those of a hunting lizard!
With a quick, excited voice the one to the north (green) babbles with glee, "Come Akie it seems we have guests. Ahh just look at them! They sent that dragon fleeing for it's life, superior base stock wouldn't you agree?! Forget those weak lily-livered lizard men, these have the fortitude necessary to withstand the Sahuagin transformation! At long last we shall make real progress, but first we must subdue them. Have no fear Akie there's no need to be gentle..." With that he downed a vial filled with a strange vial of glowing orange liquid which seemed to cause the light to bend around it!
With a strangely hollow voice the one in front bowed as he replied, "Yes master Yarash. For Science!"
As soon as Akie engaged Ser Armithia in combat, he noticed a faint chemical smell lingering on his skin. Small, almost imperceptible flaws suggest that Akie's skin was somehow stretched over an invisible frame!

Sighing as Ser Armithia rushed forward to engage with the enemy, the priest decided that granting the three melee combatants increased powers from Lathander would be more advantageous. Holding his holy symbol aloft, he called upon the powerful blessing, increasing the vigor of the men of the party.
Cast Blessing of Fervor, affecting Ser Armithia, Kardas, and Zane
Then Zane strode forward to stand near the gold elf as the group readied to battle whatever this mad scientist was.
Increase its speed by 30 feet.
Stand up as a swift action without provoking an attack of opportunity.
Make one extra attack as part of a full attack action, using its highest base attack bonus.
Gain a +2 bonus on attack rolls and a +2 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves.
Cast a single spell of 2nd level or lower as if it were an enlarged, extended, silent, or still spell.
These effects are not cumulative with similar effects, such as those provided by haste or a speed weapon, nor do they actually grant an extra action, so you can’t use it to cast a second spell or otherwise take an extra action in the round. Blessing of fervor does not stack with haste.

With zen like intensity Azarra lofts three arrows in as many heartbeats towards Yarash. The first was well judged and should have hit him solidly in the chest but it passed straight through to shatter on the wall behind as if he wasn't there! Adjusting and on instinct she shot two feet to the left and this time the arrow struck true, taking the alchemist in the chest, although it didn't really seem to bother him that much (He has DR). Taking the third shot was too much and her screaming muscles protested and she loosed too early sending the arrow harmlessly into the wall.

Yet to Ishta's dismay apart from some singing Yarash didn't seem badly hurt and Akie was somehow completely unaffected. The hollow man's strangely distorted voice observed, "Master it is as the dragon said, this one likes to use fire!"
Ser Armithia's attempts to taunt Yarash fall flat. With a wry grin he giggled, "I shall enjoy carving the gills into that long slender neck, elf. A most long and exquisite procedure, one that few so far have survived."

Kardas's blade blurs as he charged forwards, inscribing a vicious arc which sliced into Akie's arm revealing a completely hollow interior!
Zane invoked the morning lord and a powerful rush of energy jolted the party.
