I got the idea from the professor's words that 'Swallow-Whole' is a thing. So don't get grappled I guess? If it eats enough it reproduces right afterward I think. It's immune to bludgeoning and piercing I think too. So make sure you can do slashing damage (a dagger at least) of some sort. As an Ooze...remember you CAN'T crit it. So don't rely on Crits or sneak attack damage to take it out.

Any other questions? I'm sure the Professor can answer most of them.

My thinking at the moment is to shapechange, then
Barkskin, cats grace, bulls strength and magic fang... and go for it from there.

The rest of my spell slots I can use for monkeyfish, water breathing and other buffs for other folk, probably a bulls strength for Oren too as she will bedoing the bulk of our damage.

Hmm, actually, there are some pretty handy druid spells for this.

Val is still keen to go teeth to slime with it, but stepping backj I'm wondering if we would be better off with her just spamming summons at it.

Just remember that summoned monsters at less than 3rd level I doubt would hurt the creature much and we don't want to feed it MORE food (Let's let the GM decide if summoned monsters are considered possible food or not to it). If we were on land you can summon fire elementals or similar as much as you wish, but while underwater? Unless you can summon a bunch of sharks...

I normally would just suggest summoning electric eels, but this ooze has Electrical Resistance. I doubt it really could hurt it much either.

My suggestion: 1st Round, Summon something big BEHIND the ooze to help distract it from Oren, then Shapeshift to attack it alongside Oren onthe next round.

THe rest of us will attempt to hit it with spells/spell-like abilities and wear it down quickly.

NOTE: We will need to work differently if there are 2 or more of them now.

Summoned monsters vanish when killed, so I don't think they can provide food for it.

Lots of nice summon options for aquatic envrionments.
Level 1 : dolphin
Level 2: small elementals or a squid
level 3: shark or crocodile. Probably shark as we are underwater.

Most elementals and dolphins do slam/bashing damage...useless here. Most octopuses and squids to constrict/bashing damage...again useless. Sharks are the best choice.

My only other idea of how to get through here, at least to investigate it, is for Kurglunn to go through, but I haven't brought that up yet because he'll need to swim and I don't think he'll be exceptionally talented at that. Also, I have no idea how that would work for him in regards to breathing. I would think he doesn't need to breathe, but I don't want to make any assumptions.

Well if he was incorporeal he wouldn't likely need the swim checks or run into the problem of breathing. He couldn't do anything either, though.

I sent one as well recently. Still no response. We have been involved with this game for a while now. I have no problem waiting on the GM to come back if he can. I hope he is OK for his sake, not ours.

Same here. I’m cool with waiting as long as it takes.

And I’m hoping the GM is okay as well. Dropping out without a word is worrisome.
