Okhosa also sees the snake and quickly generates an acid dart, throwing it at the snake, hitting it but not doing enough damage to end the reptile.

The snake bites again at Mikail who is still flatfooted but it misses badly again.

Snake fangs vs FF: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

All of the party is up against the black mamba. Full round actions now that the surprise round is over.

Morningstar to snake: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Dragolan tries to hit the snake, but misses badly.

Mikail's rapier strike and Varya's lunging stab with her shortsword both score hits on the snake. The combined wounds along with the acid burn from Okhosa are enough to finish the reptile.

End of combat

Defeating the snake earns each PC 100xp. That makes the new total per player 458/2000 or about 23% to next level.

Dragolan peers at the still-writhing corpse. "It takes them some small amount of time to realize that they are dead. (Rather unlike such enlightened creatures as we.) Once it has settled down, though, I should like to see if any of it is edible."

Take 10 on Profession (Cook) for a 16, if possible.

The fleshy parts of the snake are edible, but they are small and lean and likely won't provide a lot of sustenance.

Consider 1 person/day of food for your resource tracker.
