Nalun Elzrahar |
Nalun is stalking around outside muttering about "Thassilonian artifacts and Sim Sala Bim! Bah!". He is clearly out of sorts.
Everyone take a look at the loot log. I'm very interested in selling some of the loot off and crafting items asap.
GM: Dave the Dwarf |
Zograthy
Natalya has not been heard from among the Sczarni. Many folk along the waterfront, both here in Beacon's Point and over in Dockway and Underbridge, have been disappearing of late. A few each week, in fact, many simply vanish out of their very beds at night. I suspect Natalya is among those who have disappeared.
He smiles at Shalee once again quite taken with the girl.
You know Natalya was a member of the Tower Girls. Pretty little things if they are missing a member now you would do well to join up my dear. They are searching for Natalya as well you know. Word is when they find her she'll be in deep trouble. Word is she went mad right before she disappeared.
Yorn |
Having relaxed at the easing of tension, Yorn tenses again at the man's last statement. "Gone mad? Hrm. Mister Zograthy, do you have any idea what Natalya was doing prior to that? What was she looking for? Where was she looking?"
GM: Dave the Dwarf |
"Oh, wow! You think I could be a Tower Girl?!? Now you're just flattering me!"
No no my dear its true. Listen if you want to find the Tower Girls I can't say anything to gorgios but there is a cad named Fenster the Blight that lives in Underbridge. I hear he has had dealings with them recently. Come back to me when you have joined the Scarzani and we will work together. Closely...

Nalun halts in his tracks
Mistress Hiedmarch mentioned SEVERAL possible leads to find Natalya. This Zograthy clown probably just took your gold and sent us on a wild torble chase across Magnimar. The man is obviously a pesh addict and out of his mind, yet we treated with him as if he were a scholar and gentleman! Nalun pauses for a few seconds
For all the gods sakes! You.................. FLIRTED with that madman!
Nalun once again continues walking toward the underbridge.
Let's go, we have another ruffian to pay.
GM: Dave the Dwarf |
Seedy taverns, poorly run brothels, and rat-infested gambling dens compete with salt-blasted tenement buildings and cheap flophouses in Magnimar's mostdangerous district, Underbridge. While the Magnimarian
government champions cleaning up Underbridge as one of its most important long-term goals, many council members realize that the vices of the slum attract a certain amount of business to the city and that truly clearing away the "bridge trash" could significantly impact the
local economy. While several of the city's religions have attempted in the past to reform and redeem the lost of this district, it seems that the denizens of Underbridge prefer to live amid squalor and danger, if only as a way to escape the demands of faith and society. It's not uncommon to hear talk amid the citizens of Underbridge of how their district is the only one that maintains Magnimar's purpose-that they, and they alone, uphold the values of freedom and liberty that Magnimar's original founders held so dear. Of course, such values are crowed primarily by the bullies and slumlords of Underbridge-those who build their success on Underbridge's desperate common folk, who have no public voice at all, and whom Magnimar sees as little more than filth to be swept under the metaphorical rug that is the Irespan.
Although the submerged rubble and jagged, ruined pylons of the Irespan make sailing beneath the Giant's Bridge a treacherous prospect, a few docks line the trash- strewn Underbridge shore, serving as the entry
point for all manner of contraband. The vast majority of Magnimar's
smuggling operations take place here as a result, despite regular raids and restrictions imposed on trade by the city guard. The people of Underbridge have traditionally displayed an almost uncanny knack for one-upping the law,to the extent that rumors persist that the government secretly endorses the crime and cruelties that take place under the Irespan's shadow.
While the majority of Underbridge's roads are little more than muddy gaps between slumping shanties and decaying shacks, evidence of the Magnimarian founders' attempt to bring civilization even here are evident in short stretches of broken cobblestones . The larger paving stones that once lined the major streets (placed during the city's foundation when visions of Underbridge as a slum had yet to manifest)
have all long since been dug up and sold off.
Mark Talbot |
Mark whispers a word in Maggie's ear, and the tiger puts her large body between Shalee and Nalun as they walk. His expression is grim and his mouth is set in a narrow line. Watching them argue dredged up bad memories of his home life.
He looks around him as he walks. "Looks nice around here," he says, his voice dripping with friendly sarcasm. "Good place for a summer home when I give up adventuring, y'think Yorn?"
GM: Dave the Dwarf |
It is quite a walk to Underbridge and it feels like stepping into night time as you walk into this lawless place.
None of you have any idea where to find this Fenster the Blight only that he is somewhere under the Irespan (the giant bridge relic directly above you)
Its like stepping into a whole new world for you the sights and smells are almost overpowering. What have you gotten yourselves into?
You remember this was one of the few places you were told to avoid...
Nalun Elzrahar |
Nalun observes the filth and suffering around him and confides in his friend Yorn.
I think I should explain why I was so angry back there. Magic is supposed to help people, like we did when we rescued Dimira and Roldare back in Kessen. Zograthy used superstition and hope to take money from these people. Money that could have gone to better their lives. I will not forget this Zograthy fellow, his time will come.
Yorn |
Yorn excuses himself for a few minutes and reappears looking shabbier than he did, a little dirty and worn. He wonders into the mass of people in this terrible place and begins asking questions.
knowledge local to learn about Fenster, hoping to blend in a little by looking more ragged: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Yorn |
Yorn returns and gathers his companions in close. "Okay, I know where to find him. Apparently he's known well around here and has some sort of offering platter in his place. If we leave something on his platter worth 5 gold, he will do whatever dirty deed we want. I guess answers would fall under that category, too."
GM: Dave the Dwarf |
Getting ready to drive the hour home from work so not to rush you but here is the next part. When ever you are ready of course.
You have no trouble getting to Fenster's. A lot of that may have to do that you have a Freeking Tiger with you!
Fenster's Home is a partially collapsed warehouse-the building has a relatively large open area within, but he keeps to one corner. here, he's made a sort of crude shelter from rowboats (one or town of which might still be almost seaworthy) and timbers leaning against the warehouse's frame. The entrance to this hovel consists of a pair of skiffs leaning against each other to create a triangular "arch" from which a moldering remnant of a ship's sail hangs like a curtain. Sitting next to the entrance is an old sea chest with a broken lid. A sign leans against the front of the chest--LEEV A GIFT AND WATE OUTSID A dented tin platter sits on the ground before the sign.
Nalun Elzrahar |
You asked for this =)
Good sir, we wish knowledge of the location of one Natayla Vancaskerkin. We have heard talk that she is involved with some local thugs known as the Tower Girls.
Nalun blinks a bit and uses his time to detect magic on the beggar.
