OK, maybe I didn't want to be there...
Physical 0: Until further notice, you have the Staggered condition. Because of your deep and painful internal injuries, during your turn you can take a move action, OR a standard action, but not both. (Note that this means you can take a normal 30' move, but not a double move or a run.)
In a pinch, you can try to push yourself past the pain. If you make a DC 12 Fortitude save, you can shake off the Staggered condition for one round. However, if you fail the save, you are Sickened for 2d10 minutes. Every time you try this, without first taking a long rest, the DC increases by 1.
It's not clear what will fix this condition but a long quiet rest under a healer's care would probably be a good place to start.

Speaking of torture, I just realized I haven't been rolling the 50% failure condition for spellcasting with Fugue 0. DMDM - is that something we should be rolling with each spell, or tell you we attempt a cast and let you roll?
Yes -- I was meaning to remind you about that.

Meaning we should roll the 50% and choose low/high when we want to cast? Low is typically what I choose, and in the order I cast them:
Command: 1d100 ⇒ 99
Detect Magic: 1d100 ⇒ 21
Stabilize: 1d100 ⇒ 99
Cure Light Wounds: 1d100 ⇒ 2
edit - So Command failed on Butcher and is still locked away. Stabilize failed and is locked away but styptic healed the prone Yordan. Other two succeeded and are now freed. Sheet has been updated with marks noting which are still locked away in memory.

Yeah, that was my initial aim for detect magic in this post, but I get the feeling DMDM didn't want it to be that easy (he deflected with a glowing shiny) so I didn't pursue it.
edit - Also, I cast light earlier, here is the unlock for that.
Light: 1d100 ⇒ 17
edit2 - booyah.

Anyone object if I get the steel mirror and the healer's kit from the pile of stuff?
We've got a doctor's and a scholar's outfit. Maybe someone (Ghelik?) could use one of them as a disguise to help bluff our way through this?

I have no problems. In fact, I'll share the healer's kits and alchemy stuffs I have with you since you have higher healing than me (I plan to take a rank or two next level.) We'll then have some healing capabilities spread around a bit.
If you want, take from my pack:
2 doses of smelling salts
1 dose of Allnight
1 dose of Bloodblock
Healer's Kit x 2

Hm -- we have a player MIA.
I think you guys all know this already, but: if you're likely to be away for more than 72 hours, please notify the rest of us, so that we can bot you or otherwise work around.
That could have been me. I don't see new posts on my phone for some reason, I just saw a message from DM. This is odd because when other non game threads post I see a new post has been posted (example it will say Rogue One 4 new posts).
I will pick up a spare phone to use this week.
Also because of the Holidays my work has without exaggeration quadrupled.

Another thought: how are we going to move while keeping the two Fritzes secured? We have some stretchers, we can tie them to them, but then the rest of us will be busy carrying stretchers...

Can Spellcraft be used to tell if a spell worked on its target?
Sorry I had been waiting for DM or the other players to answer my question from last week.
The answer would have pointed to my next set of actions.
Basically I as asking if Spellcraft could be used to determine if a spell had worked.
I was going to cast Daze on the Fritz I thought was real, ask him to volunteer in game to accept the effects (fail the save), and if it work viola, we found 'our' Fritz. My reasoning, the 'doctor' had failed a save, but would not be affected by Daze again.
It was worth a shot.

We won't be taking two with us. We will determine who is the real fritz and get rid of the other. The witch is too dangerous to bring along.

I had been looking ooc at that item but my PC was not in that area yet.
Would like to take it and Vitæ has Bluff 8.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

I’m not sure where the wizard got the inspiration from his name from, but Mrakala sounds South African-ish. I’m going to go ahead and say he’s a Chelaxian colonist/mixed blood native from Sargava. Due to the Fugue, he has no knowledge of the last..let’s say slightly more than a decade. He was last a young archaeologist with a promising future and an upcoming wedding. Now his most recent memories are of suicide and you ungodly lot (well except Fritz XD).

The Endless predate those who would dare label themselves gods.
South African you say? Can you please sound like the bad guys from Leathal Weapon 2?(link) Like a Nazi officer but with a lot more arrogant d bag thrown in.

When I'm home I'll take a look. I was going to try and emulate the former player's tone which seemed emotionally detached and a bit cold.

If we need some Lovecraftian flavor/inspiration here, look no further than deep sea fishing.

I was mostly kidding but on that note I think you will be hard pressed to find someone more detached and cold than a Nazi officer with a helping of d bag thrown in.
:)
Welcome aboard!

"We have no simple way to tell one from the other. I suggest we simply kill both. Information would be useful but one is clearly insane. The other is an unfortunate victim and we can not trust either."
I would say you've naid it.

Yes you were.
Ooh reading your posts back then your Shadow only looked creepy, the Judge WAS creepy.
That was certainly a very well tuned role playing group. Is Edmin here, he played his Anti Paladin superbly, as good as any Paladin I would have wanted to see on tabletop.
Was it that crazy Radcap Fey that did most of the party in?

The Judge was fun to play. Definitely [not] the nice guy in the group.
The red cap was cool, an awesomely played bad guy. I think we went on for a short time after the red cap when DMDM had personal stuff that caused the game to have to shut down.

The paladins of Iomedae are just and strong, crusaders who live for the joy of righteous battle. Their mission is to right wrongs and eliminate evil at its root. They serve as examples to others, and their code demands they protect the weak and innocent by eliminating sources of oppression, rather than merely the symptoms. They may back down or withdraw from a fight if they are over-matched, but if their lives will buy time for others to escape, they must give them.
The tenets of the Iomedran faith include the following affirmations.
- I will learn the weight of my sword. Without my heart to guide it, it is worthless-my strength is not is my sword, but in my heart. If I lose my sword, I have lost a tool. If I betray my heart, I have died.
-I will have faith in the Inheritor. I will channel her strength through my body. I will shine in her legion, and i will not tarnish her glory through base actions.
-I am the first into battle, and the last to leave it.
-I will not be taken prisoner by my free will.
-I will not surrender those under my command.
-I will never abandon a companion, though I will honor sacrifice freely given.
-I will guard the honor of my fellows, both thought and deed, and I will have faith in them.
-When in doubt, I may force my enemies to surrender, but I am responsible for their lives.
-I will never refuse a challenge from an equal.
-I will give honor to worthy enemies, and contempt to the rest.
-I will suffer death before dishonor.
-I will be temperate in my actions and moderate in my behavior.
-I will strive to emulate Iomedae's perfection.
