I've been listening to the Glass Cannon's Ruins of Azlant game. In that game, the glowing Azlanti longsword that was discovered in the beginning of the game was given tye Seaborne effect (or something like it).

I'm curious if that is something the GM decided to add or if there is an unrevealed property that Simon missed by never trying to use the sword underwater (though I thought about it when dealing with those eel things).

Mostly irrelevant since the sword is now relegated to backup weapon status. Just a curiosity.

Abilities
Counterspell By expending 1 point from her arcane reservoir, the arcanist can attempt to counter a spell as it is being cast. She must identify the spell being cast as normal. If she successfully does so, the arcanist can attempt to counter the spell as an immediate action and by expending an available arcanist spell slot of a level at least one higher than the level of the spell being cast. To counterspell, the arcanist must attempt a dispel check as if using dispel magic. If the spell being countered is one that the arcanist has prepared, she can instead expend an available arcanist spell slot of the same level, and she receives a +5 bonus on the dispel check. Counterspelling in this way does not trigger any feats or other abilities that normally occur when a spellcaster successfully counters a spell.
Counter Drain Whenever the arcanist successfully uses the conterspell exploit, she regains a number of points to her arcane reservoir, which is determined by the level of the spell countered. Spells of 2nd level or lower do not restore any points to her arcane reservoir. Spells of 3rd and higher restore 1 point to her arcane reservoir for every three spell levels (rounded down), to a maximum of 3 points at 9th level. The arcanist must have the counterspell exploit to select this exploit.

Here is the Loot breakdown I propose. I didn't see anything that would be obvious for Ema to want, but the Belt of Constitution seems great for Victrix, Simon is the only one who can really make use of the armor, and I gave a ring of prot and pearl of power to Valentin.

There are some cool things in here, like +2 weapons. Everyone should also check to ensure they have a ring of protection +2 and amulet of natural armor +2. There was also a ring of resistance +2, if someone wants that.

If we sell these things, the 3-way breakdown is 51,155.17, which should be enough to buy some cool stuff.

I notice that Hero Lab allows me to continue using my armor and weapons while using Monstrous Physique, but not with Beast Shape.

Is that because a monstrous humanoid is capable of using those items and thus they simply resize?

We have 3 rings of protection +2, so I'll take another one and the ring of resistance off the list to sell.

If you need another ring slot, you could always take the hand of glory.

I am still figuring out purchases.

I am going to increase the enchantment of my belt of giant strength (was actually planning to add constitution, but with the ioun stone, that is no longer needed)

I am adding Undead Bane to my longspear.

I am going to pick up some additional formulae, and possibly a glove item, but I haven't decided on anything yet. (I really need to make a diagram of what slots I still have open)

For the party fund, we should pick up 2 CLW wands. If we have time, Valentin will craft another CSW wand, or perhaps even CCW. I have to look at how long that takes again.

We currently have 1000gp of diamond dust, but if we're going to be going up against undead, maybe we should get some more.

Any other suggestions for party fund purchases?

I don't know if we want to wait long enough to do much crafting. If we take too long, the veiled master is going to get to the weapon before us.

What amount of time do you think is fair? Three days? Five?

Come to think of it, five days isn't enough time to add the enchantments that I wanted to add.

Yeah, I noticed that the time has become increasingly crunched and crafting time simply doesn't exist. Then again how long is it supposed to take us to get to our next destination?

The journey from the underwater city of Talasantri to the Alabaster Trident is a trip of roughly 150 miles, which passes through the group of islands of which Ancorato is a part. From Talmandor’s Bounty, the Alabaster Trident is about 65 miles to the northwest.

You can travel 16 miles a day in the apparatus of the crab.

You can take as much downtime as you need to be prepared for the next adventure. As long as it's not more than a month or so, you'll be fine!

If you guys want to return to Talmandor's Bounty, that's fine. Valentin can teleport us once my enchantments are complete.

Valentin is going to craft a wand of Death Ward and another CSW wand. He will buy 2 CLW wands and a couple of scrolls of Mass Ghostbane Dirge. I guess we will be the ones being feted by all of Talasantri, though. They will likely be quite disappointed.

Don't forget, we have several potions of displacement and a wand of displacement now.

24K for an item that only gives you 20% concealment seens excessive. A ring of blinking is also an option, though you do have a 20% chance of your attacks doing half damage...

@Ema I forgot to add the cloak and ring you were giving up to the list of items being sold. You should just add that money to your personal pile.

Huh. Kinda forgot we had those.

In that case, I'll need to rethink what sort of shoulder item I want...

I actually considered getting that myself, but mostly because I was looking for another way to gain water breathing. It is cheaper than the displacement cloak, but not much. A lot depends on how much we are going to be in the water over the next two books.
