Barzillai Thrune: Paracount, Inquisitor of Asmodeus, assumed governance of Kintargo 10 days ago after the city's prior lord-mayor, Jilia Bainilus. Like most of Cheliax following the terrorist activities of the Glorious Reclimation, Paracount Barzillai Thrune quickly instituted martial law over the entire city to bring it a measure of safety and security. Paracount Brazillai Thrune is Queen Abrogail II's cousin, with close ties to both the royal family and also the dominate faith of the area, the Church of Asmodeus, where he is a high ranking inquisitor. Paracount Brazillai also has direct control of both the local Hellknights and also the Dottari, the city's local guard force.

Jilia Bainilus: ex-Lord-Mayor, abandon her post, likely fearful of The Glorious Reclimation. Word on the streets suggests she fled to Arcadia by ship. None for her outspoken and scandalous vies against House Thrune, it's a surprise he stayed in power as long as she did, nearly leading the city into outright rebellion, if not a war they couldn't hope to win.

Nox: Paracount Barzillai Thrune's personal bodyguard and right hand, rumored to be some sort of devil creature, and clearly not human. She carries a glaive around without regard, and is know to be constantly serious.

Dottari: The office city guard, police, and civil law, operating out of Castle Kintargo. Many where replaced within the last week with agents brought with Paracount Barzillai Thrune when he took the throne, and some view them as nothing more than thugs, or at least most of them. There is also a local militia, but it's now unclear just how the two groups work together.

Chelish Citizens’ Group <Faction>: a small, but powerful group of mostly nobles that seek to return Kintargo to "proper" Chelish rule and ideals.

Church of Asmodeus: <Faction> the nation's primary faith since the death of Aroden and the rise of House Thrune centuries ago. By law, all in Cheliax are required to pay homage to Asmodeus in addition to any other legal faiths they may worship, and the churches of all other faiths are required to have a priest of Asmodeus present for any religious ceremonies.

Court of Coin <Faction>: a collection of nobles and guild heads working together, (and often against each other), controlling and maintaining the mercantile and entertainment venues of the city. All important families and business owners have a representative in the Court of Coins, and traditionally the Court has acted as advisors and counselors to the Lord-Mayor.

Hellknights, Order of the Rack <Faction>: Like the Dottari, Paracount Barzilla Thrune brought a platoon of Hellknights with him when he claimed the city, and they have been instrumental in providing the city with protection and security, replacing the missing Hellknights of the Order of the Torrent.

Rexus Victocora: A minor noble/aristocrat you found being nearly beaten to death immediately following the Aria Park Riot. Helping him escape to safety, he offered you help in exchange for your own, also asking you to look into clearing the Fair Fortune Livery. Based on a letter from his missing parents, it was suggested that the Livery may have been a secret headquarters of the Silver Ravens. Retrieving coded notes, he then asked you to meat with Laria, a family friend. Rexus is very interested in bringing the Silver Ravens back and fighting against the tyranny of House Thrune and the oppression in Cheliax, but is also a pacifist. He seeks allies and to uncover more secrets of the Silver Ravens.

Laria Longroad: Owner of the Long Roads Coffee House and secretly the head of the Bellflower Network in the are. The Coffee Shop is both a legitimate business, but also a front for secret tunnels underground to allow Halfings and other refugees easy escape from slavery. Laria is also a friend of Rexus, and has offered you a safe place to rest and hide if you can help her out, hoping that your causes may align in the future.

After a week of strange proclamations from the new Lord-Mayor, the people of Kintargo attend a peaceful protest in Aria Park to air their grievances, but it quickly turns to bloodshed as the Lord-Mayor issues yet another ridiculous proclamation and calls the guards to disperse the protest.
