The amount of people who want in has deeply fazed me and theres so many good players that want to sign up as well as personal friends that I am scared to open recruitment as I hate saying no to people :(.
Well you should at least give everyone a chance. I don't like saying no either but there are PLENTY of games going on and new ones opening up so even if people don't get into yours they will still prolly end up in one :)
Hell, as much as I want to play in yours I may not even app (I am in 5 games now, plus running one! 0_0) But I still want to see what your plan is!

My money is on a furry space-pirate campaign. My character will be Furious George, the anthropomorphic chimpanzee first mate.
Can I be a mog named Barf? Half man, half dog... I will be my own best friend!
Chi T'reignial |
Chi will take the bracers if no one has any objections.
I think Ambroze should take the wand, as Chi would have to use Magical Device skill to use the wand, and Ambroze is better than Chi at that.
Put this over here, to get the division out of the game/story thread

I'm just saying, Dan, that fight was like when the husband struggles with the lid on the jar that isn't coming off, and then the wife comes over and twists and it pops right off.
In short, it was the squishies with the plant killer that killed the thing. You and your flashy falcata work just finished the job.
:-p
That's probably the most damage Gwen will ever do at one time.

I am going to get my grognard on, TYVM! I am brushing up on my ThAC0 as we speak. I cut my teeth on 2E, so it shouldn't be too bad. I am determined not to be the most lost person at the table, though.
I'm honestly more worried about Bulmahn's game. I am sort of concerned that we're all gonna die.
Ambroze |
Hopefully I'm not being premature, but I assume we'll be able to level up after spending the night at Aycenia's grove.
4th Level Bard (Archivist)
+1 Ability Score Increase (DEX increase from 15 to 16)
Hit Points: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
+1 to BAB
+1 to Reflex
+1 to Will
Bardic Performance: +2 rounds
+2 2nd Level Spells: TBD
+9 total Skill Points to be allocated

Duly noted and corrected.
But...
If Ambroze dies (and still has ghoul fever) before getting off the island, can he rise as a ghast?
Nope. Hes not 4HD... Muhahahaha...
Alexander Kilcoyne |
So what happens Alex if they get enough XP to hit 5th level before leaving?
Will they all of a sudden shoot up 2 levels? :P
Just curious of course ;)
They will have an extensive training period in the next place they get access to some safety, time and facilities and level up twice.
Those who have played in my games before will note I usually want at least a weeks downtime to level- I have been a bit lenient on this front in light of the shipwreck cirumstances.

What to do if Tanner doesn't come back...
Well, Mawj can simply refuse to leave Lady Aycenia, so the in-game write-out is a piece of cake.
My opinion is that we should continue and fight the BBEGirl just the five of us. Then, once we get to civilization (assuming that's what comes next, I honestly don't know - this is one AP I've avoided looking at like the plague because I enjoy this game so much) we can either pick up a sixth member...or not.
Personally, I don't think we need to. If you want to, though, Stomphoof is the logical option unless he feels that he's taking on too much by playing in this game as well as running several games. If he feels that he's too busy, I have a RL friend who's active on the boards already and is super-reliable. I know he'd join if I asked (he's a lawyer-type, not rules-lawyer but lawyer-lawyer, so he writes well, uses grammar and code tags appropriately, etc.).
Those are my thoughts.

The last time Tanner disappeared like this he had Pneumonia and I heard there was some kind of disaster in his area this time. I'm going to wait a while longer (probably another two weeks) to hear back from him, I just wanted peoples opinions in place for if/when this happens.
Oh I hope its nothing serious. We have been having floods in the US lately, I wonder if he is in one of the flood zones? You guys have any idea what region he is from?

Louisville.

I'm 99% certain hes in Kentucky. How bad is it? I struggled to find decent news on it.
From what I have been hearing its pretty bad. But I am having trouble finding exactly how bad in his region specifically.
That whole area around the Mississippi river is getting hit bad by this mess. Tornados, Floods, and I am waiting for the Florida Hurricanes to start. >.>

Kinda confused a bit with the situation with the diseases and the potions? Sometime in day 15, I think we've created the 2 potions of anti-plague. I thought Tun'ada and Ambroze needed them, so I assume they stayed at the grove and have taken the potions...
So that means on day 16, we at the grove can go find Marcus and make our way to the BBEG's place for a bit of a barney....(or for our US cousins...a bit of a fight)... :)
Hoping that's what we're doing!!
Alexander Kilcoyne |
You didnt have time on Day 15 to make them as you got back in the evening; you have spent all day on Day 16 making the anti-plagues and I have been waiting for confirmation that you will use them on Tun'ada and Ambroze when Tun'ada returns from the cannibal camp.
Then on Day 17, you are heading to the strange rock to follow Ieana, I believe.
As a reminder; here are the instructions Ambroze translated.

So we need blood, a snake, salt water from pure metal and a name. Do we know the last?

That would be great although I don't mean for Chi to neglect her personal defenses. Ray sounds like a great choice for the flying monster.
Marcus was just talking but I think Mawj and Chi have the remaining tanglefoot bags right? And Mawj has the last alchemist's fire. Do we want to keep these where they are or change it up. Maybe the fire to Tun'ada or Ambroze to spread options around?
We should allocate the last two cure light potions as well. Marcus still has a cure moderate so they should go elsewhere.
Oh and its good about Mawj coming along. I don't mean to be stingy or anything but I just realised his elven chain is a substantial portion of our combined wealth :)

Cross-posted from my KM discussion thread, for when it becomes relevant.
Ok i've been thinking about vital strike now people are hitting BAB +6 and have come up with a definitive ruling.
Vital Strike will still have a feat tax.
Although originally I wanted to simply tie it into BAB, the feat is so much better for big monsters (usually) that giving it to everybody as a freebie feat would be detrimental to your group.
However, the vital strike chain as written is a huge feat investment for fairly low returns per feat. My ruling is this-
The vital strike feat chain has been condensed to one feat. When your BAB reaches the appropiate level, it automatically upgrades to the next feat in the chain.
Thanks for reading.
Tun'ada |
Actually, someone else may get more use out of the boots. Tun'ada already moves at 40 ft, plus has the following as one of his traits:
Jungle Fighter:(Basic, Combat) You are sure-footed in jungle environments, and your speed may not be reduced to less than 10 ft by difficult terrain in jungles (meaning you may take a 5-foot step in difficult terrain and not provoke attacks of opportunity). (Sargarva: The Lost Colony pg 23)
As far as the "mystery" quiver...given the number of arrows in it, I would assume that it is an efficient quiver, formerly known a a Quiver of Ehlonna.
EDIT: Nevermind, I just looked at what the boots do. They are just as good to him as anyone else. He looses favored terrain a shapeshifter ranger in favor of Shifter's Blessing.
Marcus Alanto |
My two cents.
Unless I'm missing something from the description the boots don't work for a non-ranger so Tun'ada gets them and the bow. He will be jungle awesome.
I'd be happy to see Chi get the quiver (pending id), +2 arrows and maybe the slaying one. That would really add to her punching power in big fights.
Suggest we scatter the +1 arrows around for everyone else with a bow to give everyone some magic attacks. Maybe 3 each to Mawj, Marcus and Tun'ada or maybe some to Chi as well so she can keep the +2s?
Dunno about the javelin. Its pretty good for everyone medium sized. Marcus tends to jump in first so anyone but him I guess.
Buckler seems like surplus unless Ambroze wants maybe?
Oh and
-hook;
-sextant;
- skull and bones buckler.
Flying beast killed a pirate, aaargh.
Chi T'reignial |
Ambroze, as the man with the party treasure list, you OK with Marcus' dishing out of stuff....and I guess as AK says no arrows to Mawj.
So I guess Tun'ada you're good with the bow and the boots?
I'll take the quiver and the +2 arrows, but Chi isn't good at shooting into melee, doesn't have the feats for that.
Thing is, we need these dished out before we get into the caves and meet the next lot of friendly creatures.
boots Tun'ada
+3 Composite bow Tun'ada
3x+2 arrows Chi
quiver Chi
who else has a bow?
Ambroze the rest of the party treasure.
