"This is way, Great Liberator Reindeer."

They head up the north corridor and then west. At the next intersection, they turn north again.

Kibbo and Jarrdreg are talking to themselves about something as they round the corner. It takes a few seconds for them to look up.
"AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Glintie-Axe!!!!! Glintie-Axe!!!!"
They jump straight up in surprise. When they finally hit the ground, they turn around and run past you.

An evil hiss rises from the darkness ahead. A floating dwarven form shrouded in full plate rounds the corner. The air about this dwarven specter shimmers eerily, and the walls and floor sizzle and smoke where it passes. The thing’s boots scorn the earth, gliding a full foot above the masonry floor. It drags a cruel bloodletter axe in the air behind it.

This is a gelatinous cube. Apparently the true demise of Druingar the Glintaxe. Gelatinous cubes are acidic oozes that spend their existence mindlessly roaming dungeon halls and dark caverns, swallowing up organic material such as plants, refuse, carrion, and even living creatures. Materials the cube cannot digest are metal and stone. The arrows did not vanish. They hit for damage and were digested immediately by the ooze's acid. Cube HP damage is at 16 plus 2 non lethal.

The damage is finally so great that the cube can no longer maintain form. It collapses into a liquid splashing and running off against the walls. A mithral full plate with a glowing +1 battleaxe locked to its gauntlet falls to the floor. Arrowheads and rocks bounce about finding a place to rest.

As Kibbo and Jarrdreg get close to the next room they run back to you "Fightings! Fightings!" pointing at the room to the north. They run past you.


You hear a true commotion as you approach this room. Three large stone tables stand in the middle of this room, while the long benches that once stood next to them have been knocked askew and overturned. A chubby halfling is grappling a kobold warrior. A girl is cornered and holding off two kobold warriors with a chair leg. Four kobolds are trying to snatch a young boy who is escaping them under a large table.
