Isabella Valencia |
Isabella follows her group, but scrunches her nose in dispproval at Plugg's attitude towards his crew.
What captain doesn't want his crew t'come back? Is he completely off his roger, or did somethin' happen with those two that's got 'im sore?
Durvin Tamish |
Durvin chuckles at the saying, enjoying the carefree attitude of it, "Well, that sounds like as good a reason as any other we got to go any particular direction."
I don't know if we're heading North or South, so whichever direction is left of us.
Unless either a Knowledge Nature 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10 or Survival 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18 tell me otherwise.
Durvin Tamish |
Durvin looks at the big man curiously, "We don't need a full crew, correct, which for a ship that size is about twenty. We just need a minimal crew, which is roughly about half the full. Based on who is with us and who is against us, though, removing Plugg, Scourge, and his cronies may find us with too few people to have the minimal. Which, is why it is vital that we find Ambrose and Sandara. We need everyone we can get."
Sarenth |
"We need to get them back. Plugg and Scourge be damned, I'm not leaving Sandara behind." Sarenth pauses for a sec. "Kroop, either. We have to make sure he learns how to cook more interesting food before he dies."
GM Choon |
You were headed north, so you veer to the left, west. The cliff looks large on your right, surf throwing massive plumes of mist into the air. It takes you several hours of hard rowing, but you finally arrive at a sandy, shallow beach of smooth sand. Coconut trees sway a couple dozen yards from the shore.
Noro_Kasuri |
Noro simply works the oars with Reck.
Maybe we can work out a proshioner exchange. we given them Plugg and Scourge, for Sandra and Kroops
hard to tell if Noro is serious or not.
Isabella Valencia |
Isabella stifles a chuckle at Noro's likely jest, helping to pull the boat ashore and checking her gear.
"Ask me, we definitely get the sweeter end o'that accord. Not before I show Scourge how to use a whip properly, though." she removes her lashes from her belt and snaps the air with both in unison, both to dry the leather and to accentuate her point.
Noro_Kasuri |
Maybe we should try another beach, this one hash crabsh
Noro tries to make light of the situation. as she stop rowing for a bit to make sure they still want to hit this beach.
Sarenth |
I was actually thinking about HP. Wizard play much more cautiously at half-health. :)
Sarenth leans toward Durvin. "Any idea on how to make crab cakes?"
Intiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Noro_Kasuri |
Noro gives a little stretch as she mans the oars to bring the long boat to the beach.
init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Sarenth |
Crabs are going after Sarenth? Mad Initiative skills, crustaceans.
Sarenth casts one of his defensive buffs and then helps with the rowing.
Mage Armor. If he has time, he'll cast Shield as well.
Reck'Avok |
Reck hops out of the boat as its bottom starts to grit along the sand of the shoreline. Planting his feet solidly in the surf, Reck heaves the boat on land, then turns to face the crabs. He summons a bit of magic into his good right hand and prepares to fight.
move action to haul boat, using arcane pool to boost my right claw attack by +1
Durvin Tamish |
As the boat lurches toward the shore via vigorous rowing, Durvin takes aim with his drawn bow at the nearest crab.
Shortbow attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13, doubt that would even hit a FF crab, JIC, damage 1d4 ⇒ 2
Noro_Kasuri |
Noro hops out next assisting Reck beach the boat.
She then looks to the crabs, then glances to Reck Which one you want?
Durvin Tamish |
Durvin is dismayed to see his shot make no mark, and instead decides to once again sing the crabbing son he had sung whilst they fought the reefclaws.
Les poisons
Les poissons
How I love les poissons
Love to chop
And to serve little fish
First I cut off their heads
Then I pull out the bones
Ah mais oui
Ca c'est toujours delish

Noro_Kasuri |
Watching the glob hit a crab, Noro moves to protech the finger wiggler.

3d20 ⇒ (16, 7, 15) = 38

The crabs converge on the two intruders who approached them. A flurry of snips and dodges ensues. Reck and Noro are both caught by the fast moving pincers (for 3 damage each). Reck manages to twist out of getting held. Noro however doesn't quite have the leverage to break free of her attacker's grasp (and takes an additional 3 damage from constrict. Noro is now grappled).
Noro_Kasuri |
Ohhh Noro gets an attack for the grab attempt, if she hits then CMD vs the grapple goes up by 2

Reck pries the pincer off of himself and counterattacks, laying into the monstrous crab with tooth and claw. Amid the carnage, he attempts to use a bit of magic but finds that his teeth are full of crabshell and it makes speaking the complicated phrases a little hard.
Noro_Kasuri |
Noro struggles to get the upper hand of this crab. she seems even more determined than before after reck destroys his target.
grapple attempt to gain the upper hand: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
Isabella Valencia |
"Oy! You're the dinner here, not her! claws off!"
Isabella slices into the crab grappling with Noro, managing to find weak spots in it's limbs with a satisfying rending sound.

GM Choon |
Isabella's whip snaps between shell joints, causing the crab to reel back in pain. Her lash as the added benefit of throwing the crab fully off balance. It's attempts to re-establish control over Noro fail miserably.
The other standing crab scuttles over to avange his fallen companion, but misses Reck by a good margin.
Round 3. Party up.
Reck'Avok |
"Keep coming, buckos. Reck's got a powerful 'unger today!"
Reck kicks the dying crab aside and engages the one attacking him, eschewing spells for the pure thrill of bone-crunching melee. He roars with delight as his attacks hit home in a cacophony of crunching keratin and splashes of salty ichor.
