Here's a screenshot of the room you're all in at the moment from Roll20: Map Link. The mummy is the gold token on the left.
When I post as GM, I'll assume Zelda is trying to slip between the mummy and the north door.

Sorry I haven’t posted in a month, I don’t know why I’m falling apart in regards to this game.
No worries, Naught. I imagine real life has been taking precedence over PbP for all of us, including me.
Normally, I like seeing 3-5 posts per week from each player. And during combat, I'd enforce no longer than two days per round so as not to bog things down...
But the way things are going in reality, I'm being exceptionally relaxed. Eventually, the pandemic will subside and we can return to a regular posting rate. But for now, post as you are able, and please don't feel bad. This is supposed to be fun. :)

You told me how I was incorrectly calculating my attacks but I can find where it is. Could you repeat it please?

GM Kartari |

Sure Zelda.
Attack Rolls: Your BAB is +5, and your Dex modifier is +5 (weapon finesse) for +10. Your short sword and rapier are both +1 magic weapons, so that's +11. You have an additional +1 with your rapier (weapon focus), so attacks with your rapier are at +12, while your short sword is at +11.
You have +11 rapier and +10 short sword written in your stats, which is incorrect.
When two-weapon fighting, applying the -2 penalty to each brings you to +10 rapier and +9 short sword.
Damage Rolls: Your strength modifier is +3, and your weapons are both +1 magic weapons. So a damage roll for either your rapier or your short sword would be 1d6+4.
You have 1d6+5 rapier and 1d6+3 short sword written in your stats, which is incorrect.
When two-weapon fighting, your off-hand weapon (presumably the short sword) only gets half your strength bonus (rounded down) applied. So your rapier would still deal the full 1d6+4 damage, but your short sword would deal just 1d6+2 damage.

GM Kartari |

Naught was actually 10 feet away from the mummy (see Roll20 map), but I'll give you the full attack this time. I moved you up 2 squares.
If Roll20 is not easy for some to access, I'd be happy to switch to maybe Google Drive if you'd all prefer?

GM Kartari |

No worries, Naught. I believe Zelda mentioned having trouble accessing it from work too.
Could you both access Google Drive at work? Would that work for all of us? I'd be happy to put combat maps up on there instead going forward.

Christoph Metzger |

I'm also fine with Drive. For the foreseeable future I'm working from home, so I'm fine with either. When I'm back in the office, I probably won't be able to check either during the work day.
An unrelated question: I should be able to 5 ft step diagonally between Sookie and Aliseya in order to have free line of sight to shoot the mimic, right? And firing at it while grappling Rhia should just be firing into melee (so no penalty with Precise shot)?

GM Kartari |

Sounds good for Google Drive so far.
Yeah, that all works Christoph.

GM Kartari |

I think it works fine on phones in general. Maps would be very tiny for sure, but you could do a two-finger zoom in. I'll try it next combat, and just let me know if you have any problems.
Be back tomorrow night to post as GM.

Well, so much for that. LOL.
Sorry about the long absence. I'll be back soon. Another really busy week. I'm really too tired right now, but wanted to at least say I'm still alive and will return to post soon...

GM Kartari |

At last, a post! Sorry again everyone. Really rough week or three. I had a death in the family plus the usual work insanity going on. Not sure about the next week, but hang in there if you don't see me for a few or several days more (hopefully fewer). Sooner or later, I'll get back to a regular posting schedule.
For those without Roll20.net access, here's a link to the map of the current round of combat. Where's Rhia? Inside the mimic's slimy "mouth"... :o
Note that nobody is flanking it now and that it's at least 15 ft. away from the closest party member (Zelda) right now and in a different room. Ranged attackers will need to move to get line of sight, though Christoph probably just needs a 5 ft. step to the right to avoid a cover penalty (that door is open, but it plus the wall are partially blocking his line of sight in his present position).

GM Kartari |

Thanks. :)
Correction: the mimic moved 10 ft., not 30. I moved it 10 on the map, but wrote 30 in my post for some reason. It's very slow.
So, Naught can actually reach melee range with about 20 ft. of movement. That would leave her standing in (and blocking) the doorway, though. She can move in further another 5 ft. to open the doorway for more to enter, and can still melee attack it this round. This would provoke an AoO if Naught's Acrobatics check fails to beat its CMD, though.

You really want to take my rapier dont you lol this is the second time hmmmmm.

Aliseya Belododia |

Who, me?
* gives Zelda her adorable innocent look *

GM Kartari |

Rhia, no worries. Sorry you got slimed!
Zelda, count your blessings - you could've been slimed!

Guess Christoph is fairly rattled then :P

GM Kartari |

Sorry (again) for that extra long delay. Posting in a bit.

GM Kartari |

So, where to now?
You can explore more of the museum. You spotted a trap door in the floor in room J5. Zelda also found a secret staircase leading up in room J3.
There's also the door in room J5 which leads north. Aliseya was about to say something about taking that door the last time she and Zelda were here, but got cutoff when the mummy attacked.

Also, how's everyone's schedule? I think I'm seeing a light at the end of the tunnel, at long last. Wrapping up one of the things holding me back this week, and I think I can pick up the pace again afterwards.

I am trying to keep teack of what is going on. Olits a little ruff over here right niw

No worries. I just thought I'd get an idea of how everyone's doing. And thanks Naught - I mean, I'll effectively still be working 1.5 jobs for the foreseeable future, but at least it's coming down a notch now.

GM Kartari |

If we're too busy to post, you can just give me a choice OOC here and I'll move the party on: go upstairs to the museum's upper level, go downstairs to the museum's lower level, or skip the rest of the museum and go north to the path that leads to Caromarc's towers.
No rush. I'm just saying that's an option.

Running down the stairs and acrobatics slide past the creature i was not sure if i would get an attack or just give flank to someone

GM Kartari |

Ok, I'm back. Insane work week, followed by an insane work weekend (and I thought I'd have the day off today).
Anyway, I'll move things along within the hour.
Zelda, I'll give it to you. Though the map shows no room to flank it, I haven't actually posted a combat map yet so, there is room. :)

GM Kartari |

I got the combat map up. Check out the "Combat Map" link under my profile name (you can zoom in). Let me know if you can't move yourself around.
Zelda, lets pretend there is room behind the creature for you. Even though you're in the water on the map, we'll say the room is actually 3x3 squares instead of 2x3, so you're on the ground in the room.
I'm afraid I'll have to come back to actually post though. Sorry, I am really ready for bed. Probably tomorrow night though.

GM Kartari |

Naught - Sorry, I just noticed you tied the creatures on initiative. Since you have a higher Dex score than the golem, go ahead and act before them in round 1; if you spot this after I post for the creatures, go ahead and post for two rounds of actions.

GM Kartari |

Finally, my Internet is back after four days. That was some storm here on the east coast. I'll be back soon to move things along, maybe tonight in about four or five hours, or tomorrow night the latest.

GM Kartari |

Uy, I was fortunate to not lose power. My ISP cut my Internet on purpose though in order to perform repairs... which, apparently, took them four days to perform. :/

GM Kartari |

Also Zelda, your bleeding attack rogue talent only deals bleed damage to living opponents. This is not a living creature, however.

GM Kartari |

Work strikes again. So much for my fantasy of less work, LOL. A few websites I developed have, all at once, decided to crap out in different ways... and so have two of my development tools. Thank you, evil updates! Spent most of my day today just fixing them...
Anyway, I'll be back to post as soon as I can.

Pretty sure this place has cursed my dice... oof.

Christoph Metzger |

We're still in combat and the Golem + handlers are still up, right? Just want to make sure I haven't lost track :)
