Jim, shouldn't that d6 be a d10, unless you just took a level of sorcerer.

The Cap'n came up with a modified roll for HP back when we earnt our last level.

d8 is d5+3
d10 is d6+4, etc

All- take 3 hp for resting.

the Groom- remember my hp system ensures you get 1/2 hp.
d8 would be 1d5+3

Nope--way back when we leveled up to second, the Cap'n let us do HP rolls a bit differently. Instead of rolling a d10, I get d6+4. (d8 = d5+3, d6 = d4+2) In the absence of word to the contrary, I stuck with that method.

OK, stupid question. When we level up, do we keep damage taken or current HP?

I'm not sure if there are any rules about that specifically, but I reckon you'll still be missing the same number of hit points until healed up.

So I go from being down fifteen points (8/23) to being down fifteen points (18/33)? (I know, actually down twelve points after resting the night.) Got it.

Yeah, I'm not interested in trying anything proportional. math hurts my head ; )

You already have Ironhide. A couple extra hitpoints might be useful.

A question. Since I have Beadles spellbook...can the spells be read off the pages and used as a scroll?

Dingus- not really, spellbooks are just a bunch of notes on how to cast a spell. They don't actually have the spell stored in them like a scroll. The book probably isn't going to be of great use to you other than if there's a spell you wanted in there, you could say the notes helped you learn it. That's more of a fluff thing though. Probably you should just sell it.
