Erian, your performance earns you 10 sp, 16 cp. (Mostly from the soldiers.) The inn is willing to cook the elk and serve you specifically some of it for free and half-price to the rest of the party (1 sp, 5 cp each).
The following magic items are available for purchase (feel free to combine funds): potion of cure light wounds (2) (50 gp each), potion of spider climb (300 gp), scroll of cure light wounds (25 gp), wand of cure light wounds (8 charges) (120 gp), wand of shield (12 charges) (180 gp)
| Polson Lacey |
It's okay Polson. The rest of the group herded you away from doing something stupid. ;)
That may become a theme!
Polson joins in the drinking and wishes people would stop slapping him every time they speak with him. Scans the tavern looking for any games of chance. If there are none available he dumps 1gp worth of mixed silver and copper on the table and try's to find anything to bet on. He is not fussy!
| Gaelen The Ironfist |
"Well...since we're all talking and I must be the only silent one I might as well speak." he yawned and looked over everyone. "I'm just here for money. The more the merrier, though I would've perfered a bounty. Atleast then I can have some excitement."He stares at the noble with a clear scowl when they meet up with him. It's obvious he doesn't like this man for some unknown reason.

Sorry I'm late, had a busy day yesterday and then I got pulled in playing a old game I downloaded x-com. never played it before but the pack was on sale for £8.99 and there is a new one coming out. I'm a hell of a gamer, heh.

Seeing this Gaelen smiles and sits opposite Polson.
"How about an arm wrestle? Loser buys the other one a beer?" he smirks and puts his arm up on the table, ready for if he accepts his offer.| Gaelen The Ironfist |
Polson looks at the thick armed Human and smiles. "Sadly I am not built for such games friend but I am sure I have some cards in my bag. Care to try and find the lady?" Polson rummages in his bag for some cards.
Gaelen has a interested look and simply nodded in agreement.
"It'll kill some time." he shrugged, not too interested but willing to atleast try rarther than sit around the bar not knowing what to do.| Erian El'ranelen |
Hearing Ilya's request for 'The Lusty Halfling Maid', Erian grins. "Heh, I'm not familiar with that one--you'll have to tell me how it goes so I can add it to my repertoire! Now, what I was thinking is more along the lines of a bit of history, a bit of mystery, and a bit of romance. Did you know that in ages past, when ancient forests covered this land, that the elves of Kyonin would hunt here? My ancestors called this place Telvurin--"The Shifting Lands" to those that speak the tongue of the Taldans. Well, one noble son came to the forest looking for sport, and lost his heart instead...
Erian proceeds to tell the story of Melius, who fell in love with the voice of Lin'du, a fey that took the form of a nightingale. Melius spent his years chasing the nightingale's song, rejecting his place in the courts of the elves to instead frolic in the shady glades of Telvurin.
"...and that, my friends, is the true power of the elven Brightness. Once it is found, nothing else in the world can compare."
Upon completing his tale and graciously accepting the accolades (and coin) of the patrons, Erian turns his attention to the small selection of items the community has to offer. "That healer's wand could prove a handy tool. Anyone want to combine purses to cover it?"
| Ilya Shukhov |
Ilya continues sipping his vermouth as Erian sings a song of his people. He finishes his drink and orders two more from the bar. While he drinks the second, he pours the third drink into a flask he produces from his belt. Screwing the cap onto the flask, he reaches down underneath the table for a few seconds and comes back up holding what appears to be his right leg. He reaches into the top of the knee and wedges the flask inside the leg. Perhaps noticing the other party members at the table, he remarks, "One for the road, you know," then bends down to reattach his leg.
He continues sipping his sweet vermouth and enjoys the atmosphere of the tavern.

"How about an arm wrestle? Loser buys the other one a beer?" he smirks and puts his arm up on the table, ready for if he accepts his offer.
Caelin smiles"Oi! Polson do you mind if you move a bit so I can play arm wrestle with Gaelen, he look like a bit to strong for ya lad" drops 5 silver pieces "So! the let the best man wins, 2 out of 3 or all in 1 go heh!?" smirks and puts his arm up on the table I already had a few so don't make me wait fer ya long before I have some more so you can have it easy looks at Erian "Glad to have you around to tell me some stories and sing a merry song, of course mead helps for inspiration hehehehe" smiles.

Caelin and Gaelen lock hands for a few rounds of arm wrestling. Caelin wins the first round, but then Gaelen wins the second and third, winning the pot of 15 silver (assuming Gaelen put anything in).
Polson manages to win a total of 4 sp, 17 cp from some townsfolk who agree to a few games.
The rest of the night goes by uneventfully with the group making their way to the 4 rooms the inn still have available.
You all awaken the next day to the sounds of activity outside. Those who look out their window see the large expedition heading south making their final preparations before leaving town.
The next few days pass without note with the group hunting and foraging as they go along.

It's a cold day with a light rain as you all come around a corner and get your first look at Oleg's Trading Post. It doesn't look old, but it doesn't look all that well maintained either. It's surrounded mostly by grassland, and a few small groupings of trees.
In your last few minutes before arriving you think back to the meeting in Restov and pull out your personal copy of The Charter to read again.
by the Swordlords of Restov, acting upon the greater good and
authority vested within them by the office of the Regent of the
Dragonscale Throne, has granted the right of exploration and travel
within the wilderness region known as the Greenbelt. Exploration
should be limited to an area no further than thirty-six miles east and
west and sixty miles south of Oleg’s Trading Post. The carrier of
this charter should also strive against banditry and other unlawful
behavior to be encountered. The punishment for unrepentant banditry
remains, as always, execution by sword or rope. So witnessed on this
24th day of Calistril, under watchful eye of the Lordship of Restov
and authority granted by Lord Noleski Surtova, current Regent of
the Dragonscale Throne.
Perception checks.

Caelin sings a long the way the hymm of his clan to kill some time, "Erian wanna join in the singing since I'm not very bright and my singing is as good as that or worse
Never rest, never retreat and never loose.
Hard as iron; valiant strong and ruthless
like the linnorms themselves
Listen to the horn
calling us to war.
Listen to the horn call
Warlike is my blood, thick and heavy
I can feel it flowing through my veins.
In my throat a battle hymn, in my hand a sword of steel
that my enemy will taste: all of them have sealed their fate
On the battlefield they'll die.
Here comes the earthquake. The ground will shake
with the charge of the warrior of Bronding.

Caelin sings a long the way the hymm of his clan to kill some time, "Erian wanna join in the singing since I'm not very bright and my singing is as good as that or worse
With a chuckle, Erian notes, "Well, I'm really more of an orator than a singer, but I'll give it a go." He listens to Caelin's song for a bit, then picks up singing here and there. True to his word, the performance isn't exactly rousing--perhaps a little above average (and a fair sight better than Caeilin once he gets the rhythm) but nothing to write home about.
On nearing Oleg's, Erian again takes out his chalk and parchment and starts making notes, muttering to himself about a nearby rise, the distance from their last camp, and other such things. "Seventy-two miles east to west, sixty miles south, centered here..."
| Tam Hale |
Tam squeezes her knees gently against the ribs of her painted mare, urging the horse forward from the far back of the party while her companion, a panther-shaped creature of blue-silver fur and teeth, keeps pace beside the nervous pack-animals. She had remained quiet over the last few days of travel, her ineptitude at dealing with other intelligent beings made her keep her distant from their conversations and interactions. She had even slept in the stables at the Crossing, more at home with the beasts than the comforts of the inn.
Tam gazes down toward the wooden palisades of Oleg's as her grimey brow scrunches up in puzzlement. She turns her head toward the man called Caelin, who reminded her somewhat of her own late father in his Ulfen-descended features, and speaks in a completely serious tone "I do not think this place has a door knob."

Caelin smiles "Well we can find out together if there is one" winks at Tam "Ha! besides everything can be opened, just need to know how and Oi! Were my manner, Caelin O'hern is me name and at your service if you ever need a hand or two" gives Tam a friendly smile and extends a hand
| Caelin O'Hern |
Caelin winks at Tam "Well it's not that your missing onelaughs a bit "It's like your weapons, I rather have them and not use them, than need them and don't have them" pats Tam in the back, "Come on beauty let us find our way inside Oleg's place" Caelin makes surprised face "Oi! my manner this days, let me introduce you to the rest of me friends here and yours as well gives a pat in the back to Angus "My fellow dvergr here is Angus, don't know if his temper is like his red hair but he is a fun to have around", points at Xenos "Over there is Xenos a friendly and little upitty but a fine man", points at Erian "our story teller, singer and good archer, points at Constance, "She is a beautiful as beautiful as they come and cold as winter" pokes Tam with the elbow "You know what I ment", points at Gaelen "This man here is a strong fella also and a hunter by trade, he get's a rush when his quarry gives him a challenge" whispers to Tam "or so he says" pun intended smile, then walks towards Polson and pats him in the shoulder "And this one is Polson little shy and he's right over here he looks a bit weird" looks at Oleg's place "Well we were called here so let's make our selfs known that were here"
| Gaelen The Ironfist |
Gaelen nods as he is pointed out, though he keeps his eyes on Tam thinking, not not saying anything. Too many times had he learnt to keep his mouth shut and he was going to do it here too. The dwarf was certainly making everyone feel good he felt, which was strange. From what he heard they only spoke of people in high reguard when given a beer.

Did you all decide to purchase any of the items back in Nivakta's Crossing?

Well I'll wait for the map

"Well it's about time we had a lil fun today. I could use a few wolf pelts to keep this infernal rain off me wiskers." blusters Angus to Caelin , cracking his knuckles and drawing his axe with silent prayer "Ther's three more of the beasts to the north. Watch your backs!"
I'm also on foot at the southeast corner of the wagon, just to the east of Caelin
| Caelin O'Hern |
Smiles with a wild look "Let's make this an intresting fight, I was wondering how good some of us really are" wink at Angus"No doubts on you or the wild beauty Tam" points at the wolves with his weapon "well I see two of'em right there, since we are already in the party, let's party..." looks at Tam's pet [b]"Oi! what a really intresting pet"

Updated MAP. Just waiting for Constance, Gaelen, Polson and Erian.
Go ahead and give me initiatives with your positions.

"Wolves attacking so large a group? That's rather odd behavior, unless they're starving. Or otherwise compelled I suppose..." Erian muses to himself as he prepares for trouble.
Initiative 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Knowledge (nature) 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 regarding the wolves and any unusual behavior
I may be incommunicado tomorrow for a bit--if my absence impacts the battle and things need to roll forward, Erian holds his position. On round 1 he uses his Standard Action to Inspire Courage (+1 Morale bonus on saves vs. charm and fear effects, +1 Competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls) and his Move Action to ready his bow. On round 2, he attacks with his bow, targeting any wolf that has already taken damage.
Composite Longbow 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19 (110', 1d8 ⇒ 3 [P], 20/x3)
Ride check (if needed) 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
